The newly renovated, 4 bedroom (5 bed) Historic Haus offers a fully equipped kitchen, private backyard, deck, and grill. Built in 1898, this 124 year old home is on the Registry of Historic Places!

Location, Location, Location!!!
The Haus is walking distance to all the Downtown shops, restaurants, bars, brewery, movie theater, bowling alley, the Carver County Fairgrounds, & beautiful Lake Waconia!
It is also just a short drive to 3 beautiful Wineries, J. Carver Distillery, & Island View Golf Course.

Waconia is about a 45 minute drive from MSP Airport & the Mall of America.

Walkable to the lake and to shops. This worked great for my extended family stay for a nearby wedding. The extra off street parking was especially useful the night there was a band contest/parade in town.

We were in town for a wedding. Parents, kids, and grand kids stayed. Having access to kitchen and plenty of room was nice. We also made use of deck. Clean and cute. I recommend if you are in the area.

Charming home! Location is fantastic. I don’t think I would call this a 4 br home but as we had a last minute cancellation with our party, it worked out ok. The bathrooms are very small, which was expected, but very difficult to use. Very well appointed, though, and the garage, parking was excellent.

Charming, beautiful home!

We had a wonderful stay at the historic haus! The house was clean and comfortable, and the location was perfect walking distance to downtown Waconia restaurants and shops! Communication with the property host was excellent. I received prompt replies, and they were always very courteous.

Awesome Girl's Weekend in a Beautiful Home

We were on our 6th annual Holiday Girls' Weekend. We thoroughly enjoyed our weekend in Waconia at the Charming Historic Haus. We walked downtown and enjoyed the many shops and restaurants. It was a perfect place for our weekend away.

Family visit

Spent 4 nights at the house. Great house. Great location. Easy walk to down town for great food and drinks. We’ll be back!

Jennifer was great!The home was very nicely equipped. Not only did the kitchen have basic spices and coffee, but the utensils,appliances and dishes were high quality items that made working in the kitchen convenient and easy.The bathrooms were set up with cabinets to store cosmetics and things so it was easy for multiple people to share the spaces without having all kinds of junk setting out on the vanities,It was very comfortable, and in short, Jennifer set the home up to make it convenient to actually live there and enjoy our time there.It snowed some while we were there, but someone came by several times to clear the walks. Access to the two-car garage was an absolute God-send as we got our 8-month old granddaughter and her car seat in and out of vehicles.Thanks for helping us have a great time, Jennifer!

Girl’s Weekend

Group of high school friends spent the weekend in Waconia. Great bars and restaurants within walking distance. Cute town, beautiful drive here from the cities for the fall colors… checked out local wineries, the Distillery and breweries

Holiday in Minnesota

Our daughter lives in Minnesota and we decided to take our holiday on the road. Family came in from Michigan and Missouri. The house was perfect! Really clean and quaint. The hosts even put up a tree with lights and decorations.

Good Historic house with an amazing location

Great house walkable to numerous restaurants/bar in downtown Waconia. For kids it is also walkable to a wonderful, big park near the local elementary school, we went twice! To note: my parents stayed at the house with us. The stairs were a bit steep for them so they opted to stay in the smaller only bedroom downstairs.

Lovely historical home

This place is fantastic and immaculate. A very welcoming ambiance in a great location near Lake Waconia. Walking distance to a Lake Park and fishing dock, and to some excellent restaurants, ice cream and a bakery. Several taverns nearby offering local brews. The owners were very helpful and checked up on us via the app to see if all was well. Everything of was thought of to make our stay comfortable, including toiletries in the bathrooms. This is one of the best VRBOs that I’ve stayed in. I would definitely stay here again if my travels ever bring me this way.

Impressive amenities!

Lovely and charming house for our girls weekend. The owners have thought of absolutely any and everything you could need which is a huge relief when traveling. From a fully stocked bathroom with shampoo, conditioner and body wash to a cooler for your drinks and snacks worrying about packing everything isnt an issue because the host has it covered. The ambiance of a the house was matched by a quiet neighborhood which made for a relaxing backyard hangout session before moving into the cozy living room for a movie before falling asleep in very comfortable beds. Staying at the Haus is a fantastic experience :)

Our stay

The historic aspect of house was fun and interesting. The location offered easy walking to town. There was no way to walk out the front door and secure it. Pavers from the side door (which we could lock) to the front side walk would have been helpful as we did do a lot of walking to town. The upstairs surprised us having the only community bathroom for all the beds off one of the bedrooms. We were glad one of our siblings couldn't make it, so it worked out. It would have been helpful to have a small chair/bench in the entry for sitting down while we removed our boots. As it was we had to use the kitchen chair to remove the boots and they place them on the boot mats. We tried to be as careful as possible.

Great house in a perfect location

Our family was in town for our parents wedding anniversary and we found this house nearby for our extended weekend stay. The hosts were great in communications during booking, prep for the stay, and throughout. Couldn't have asked for more. We booked a long time in advance and I had no worries about the booking or our big weekend. The location is just a few blocks away from the main stretch in Waconia meaning walking distance but not as much of the traffic. Plenty of area restaurants and bars for hanging out late if you want. Pangea Cafe was awesome if you have time for breakfast or brunch. Parking at the house was a breeze given the two car garage for use. The house itself was amazing inside. The original home restored (or maintained?) to original standards and everything was in great condition. Bedrooms as described so everyone was out of each others hair and the early to bed crew could shuffle off when they wanted. The beds were just amazing as well. The kitchen is more modern than the rest of the house which brought no complaints from us. Fridge, stove, and coffee maker were about all we needed, but glasses and plates were well stocked. The living areas consisted of a TV room and the dining room. Dining area had room for 8 around so plenty of space for games or catching up while at the house. Checkout was also a breeze. Great communication once again and only a small set of responsibilities for us; just take out the trash and recycling. Will stay again if we can!
