This beach side home is perfect for gatherings of all kinds. not only it the location in a gorgeous area of the island the home itself is just that, gorgeous.... This professionally decorated home is right across the street from the beach with surf views. This 4 bedroom, 3.5 bath home is located on the northern end of the island among other big beautiful homes with tropical landscapes and will sleep up to 12 people. A full size private pool is just out the back door with volley ball accessories and more and the beach access is right across the street. This " Haven " will impress even the toughest " critics "No Smoking, No pets, Age 25+ Required.  All Rates are subject to change. Seasons and Specials change is posssible without published notice.

House is very beautiful with great decor. Very spacious and a HUGE master bedroom with bath suite. Stocked up with many kitchen items & towels. Location is great, across the street to beach access. Pool area is great to relax after a long day at the beach but not ready to call it a night. Balcony is great to sit and relax and enjoy the night. Even had a great cookout on balcony. Our overall stay was just Beautiful.

House is big and perfect, the beds need to be updated. The listing says there is 4 bunk beds (8 single beds) however there is only two bunk beds (4single beds). This was a huge issue for us. We were expecting 4 extra beds and ended up on the floor for some of our family. They need to update beds available.

I honestly don't understand how this property has such good reviews because our experience was terrible.The only good thing about this rental was the location. Everything else was a huge disappointment.We arrived to overflowing trash bins, even though trash was supposed to have been taken out the day before. The pool was filthy when we got there. Management insisted it had already been cleaned and said they would come brush the sand toward the filter, but it barely made a difference. The pool company ended up having to come out the next day because it still wasn't clean.The house itself clearly wasn't being maintained. There were cigarette butts left on the balcony, the kitchen sink was leaking into a bowl that had been placed underneath it (which tells me they already knew about the leak), several window blinds were broken, and the washing machine smelled so strongly of mildew that I didn't even want to use it.The basics weren't stocked either. Almost all of the soaps were practically empty, and there weren't enough towels for everyone. They did bring more towels after we asked, but that's something that should have been ready before we arrived.Overall, this house felt neglected and not properly cleaned or maintained between guests. We spent far too much of our vacation dealing with issues that never should have existed in the first place. I definitely would not stay here again.

Our family had the best time staying at this house. We made a lot of memories this time going to South Padre. Great vacation!

For the second year my family has enjoyed staying here. The home is clean, nice, spacious and has all you would need. Very well equipped. You cant beat the location, EASY walking distance to the beach and near restaurants and shopping. The pool is always enjoyed by the kids and adults alike. We plan on staying here again next year!

Fun Holiday at SPI

This home is in a perfect location and is right across the street from the beach with a wide open empty lot with a great unobstructed view of the waves. All of the amenities and comforts of home were available to us and we lacked for nothing. I would definitely book again.

Poor property management

The house and furnishings were nice and the location was great. The house is right scythe street from beach access and the porch had a nice view of the ocean. We had multiple issues at the house. We had to battle with the ants daily. They were in the couch, in a suitcase, in the bunker room, in the second floor powder room, dining room and kitchen. We advised the property management that the home needed to be treated professionally.

Excellent Location

Location of the property is excellent. This property is a duplex, not a house! The unit itself is dirty and not well maintained. Broken pots by the pool. Broken windows. Trash and cigarettes litter the pool area. Not all that bad but not nearly as advertised. Owner showed up late at night to pretending to be someone else to notify my wife that we cannot park in the other driveway. Strange overall vibes. Place is in desperate need of some TLC.

Hi Jack I appreciate your valuable feedback. When a broken pot and cigarette trash by the pool, I definitely need to know this was over looked as the house manager. We will definitely do a deep cleaning around the pool area. Thank you for the information. The owner lives in Austin. So whoever's driveway you were parked in that's who it was that advised not to park around the corner in the other driveway. It was definitely not the owner. We do apologize for the issue. Your guest guide did specify not to park in the driveway around the corner from your 4 car space garage and driveway. Sorry for that break and communication. However, we hope you had a good vacation. You appreciate your business. Hope you give us another chance in the future to get it perfect. The house was amazing! It fit 2 families well and it was a short walk to the beach. The only reason I gave it a 4 stars was because of the hefty cleaning and service fees that we were charged only to have a page full of things we needed to do before check out. I don’t mind cleaning at all but I’m going on vacation to relax. Instead, I’m sweeping floors, washing dishes and stripping off bed sheets the last hour before check out. Again, I don’t mind cleaning, but give us a break with these crazy cleaning fees! Needless to say, we will be staying at a resort next time. Other than that, the property and home were very nice, plenty of restrooms and showers! The shower in the bedroom on the first floor was clogged but no big deal. If you don’t mind paying 1000/ night for cleaning fees and still have to clean on top of that this house is perfect for a big family.

Perfect for beach and pool

This house was perfect for my entire family. Less than a minute to the beach. I had ages 85-3! The entry level had a en-suite bedroom that my parents used. The bunk room was perfect for the kids. Kitchen had the essentials and the view from the balcony was just right. The pool was a cool refresher after a day at the beach.

50th Wedding Anniversary Beach Celebration

Would have liked a heads up on a broken shower, garage door, and dryer at our time of arrival. No "on the island manager" this year as opposed to our stay there in 2019 so we had to contact the host who lives out of town. Some issues remained unresolved when we left. We enjoyed ourselves despite the inconveninces.

Great Beach Get Away!

This was a great beach house across the street from the water. Corner house with great view of the beach. Plenty of space, garage for toys and your own private pool to cool off after a day at the beach! Me and my family really enjoyed our stay and would choose to stay again next year. Great Host

There was a “fubar” when we first arrived 1) the place was not cleaned, 2) linen to the beds and towels were on the floor outside of the laundry room 3) the home was hot due to the thermostats being put on 80….once I called the host, he was upset that we had to go through that and got to working on rectifying the problem post haste! He even was going to give us an extra day, but since we were going to have to be back in San Antonio, he gave us a late check out time. He did all of this while being under stress of having to bury a family member that weekend in Washington DC. My hat is off to the host for the remarkable poise, courtesy, generosity and just doing the right thing. The place was beautiful and cooled off once a few hours passed for the temp to lower in the house…also the pool was very nice but we couldn’t enjoy it at nightfall due to lights being inoperable even with guidance on how to get them to work….but it was not a show stopper. Also the homes bbq grill was spotless and worked very well for our cookout. The distance to the beach, which was across the street was also another plus! My family loved the place and we will be returning again in 2022! Again, a wonderful home and an even better host!!

Beautiful View

Absolutely cannot beat the location and view of this home. This home is so close to the gulf, easy walk to the beach which wasn't crowded at all. We sat outside on the porch every night listening to the waves. Just what we needed to relax. We were a little disappointed that the beach chairs were in such poor shape we couldn't use them but luckily there is a Walmart nearby to buy some. Highly recommend Porky's Pit BBQ truck nearby for some absolutely awesome BBQ and the Mexican restaurant on the corner Dona Carmen's has to die for barbacoa street tacos. This was our first trip to Texas and we will be back.

Great stay

Stayed for almost a week. The house was big, master bedroom was amazing. We loved the front balcony, pool was very clean. I agree with previous reviews about needing more kitchen towels. The best thing is the location, such an easy walk to beach and the water was so clear, it was really beautiful.

This was a perfect location for your family crew of 6 adults and 3 kids. Everyone loved the stay! The property was clean and the location was absolutely wonderful! We hope to stay here again for our next trip to SPI.
