PET FRIENDLY WITH STIPULATIONS
We welcome well-trained dogs to stay in this home. If traveling with a pet, please note that a non-refundable pet fee will be added after booking. We require that your dog be completely potty trained and prefer dogs older than 2 years old. Crate Trained pups are preferred to deter mischievous behavior while you and your party are enjoying the beach. It is understood that while we do allow dogs with the mentioned stipulations any damages that occur during your stay will be charged to the credit card on file with the minimum fee being $350.00.


INITIAL SUPPLIES - UPON ARRIVAL
Panhandle Getaways furnishes a few essential items for guests to utilize until they can get to the grocery store. Initial Supplies include: Dishwasher soap, small washing machine powder, each bathroom has amenities (like hotel but NOT restocked) shampoo, conditioner, soap bar. One roll of toilet paper in each bathroom & one paper towel roll in the kitchen. All bed linens and towels are provided. We encourage guests to bring beach towels for use at the pool and beach.


WI-FI INFORMATION
Please be advised that while we do offer free Wi-Fi, service in the area can be spotty regardless of provider. Should you require stable internet service for work or pleasure; please bring an ethernet cord to plug into the router or bring access to a hot spot with you. Limited tech support. No refunds for any interruption in Wi-Fi service during your stay, NO exceptions.

Gulf highlands doesn't disappoint

This was our second time staying at the gulf highlands. Both times the neighbors and residents are extremely polite and helpful. Our condo this time was located perfectly by one of the pools, shuffle board, and putt putt. We definitely enjoyed our stay.

Spend A Bit More on Quality

Pros: Great proximity to the beach, visual on pool from the living room, generally comfortable with nice furniture, the blue couch has been replaced with brand new cream-colored couches. Cons: horrible smell of dog urine on the steps and near the kitchen at the entrance, covered up with the smell of bleach and cleaning supplies. Had to call housekeeping out to attempt to clean again and they did their best but scent returned after two days. Roaches in kids room. Sleeps six if you anticipate two people in each bed; more comfortable for a family of four. Property and unit incredibly dated with more upgraded resorts nearby for the same price point. Washer and dryer appear to be from the 70s - only used dryer too dry bathing suit would not dare use washing machine . Dirty dishes were left in cabinets. I washed everything by hand prior to use anyway. Bring your own pots and pans. The pots and pans were overused, damaged, scratched, or just unusable.

Needs Major Updates & Wrong Gate Codes Given

This property needs some major updates as well as a better management company. The following need updates: The refrigerator with rust stains all over it, the BROKEN toaster, the oven that you cannot use (as soon as you turn it on a strong odor of gas fills the room), the downstairs toliet only flushes half the time you use it, there is a coffee maker BUT no coffee pot (we had to use a tea kettle that would overflow each morning) & the washer and dryer are extremely old. The WRONG gate code to enter the resort as well as code for the beach access was given to us as well. After numerous calls we were finally given the correct codes about 3 days in after many attempts at rectifying the problem. When I called Panhandle for questions about the mini golf and shuffleboard equipment we were transferred to a company that only sets ups activities in the area which was not what we needed. Kept getting transferred back and forth with no solution. If someone parks in your parking spot you are unable to park your car due to numerous signs stating your vehicle will be towed, so you are responsible for finding the owner of the car illegally parked and have them move it. We cane home late one night to find a car parked in our spot so we contacted property manament only to be told we needed to have the vehicle towed ourselves. Spent an hour trying to find a tow company that would come out at that time and finally had the vehicle towed and was able to park our car after. Very frustrating!
