Olde Farmhouse Retreat is located in Sevier County, just outside the city limits of Pigeon Forge. It's far enough away from all the hustle and bustle of PF but less than 3 miles to all the attractions, entertainment, food, etc. It sits in a hollow (holler) on a small hill, surrounded by mountains. A creek runs in front of the driveway. I'm unsure if it is a natural creek. Some of the locals claim it is while others say it was man made. Nevertheless, after a heavy rainful, it is so relaxing to hear the sound of water rushing through the creek. There are no cabins near the house however, there are a few local people that live nearby. Sitting in a rocking chair on the front porch in the early mornings is my favorite past time. It's so peaceful and comforting to hear the symphony of birds chirping, to be entertained by mischievious squirrels. To get a quick glimpse of a tiny chipmunk stuffing its cheeks with food. Feel the excitement of an occasional bear or deer run through the yard then quickly rush into the woods up the mountain side. Watching the leaves on the trees change colors day by day. To see and experienc nature while you sit on the front porch. Last but not least, the barn across the road from the farmhouse once belonged to the Sharp family, built in the early 1920's. It remains strong and very well maintained by the previous owners. They have a couple of donkeys and goats. My husband and I enjoy watching them, especially when the goats are playing. Other people who drive by the barn seem to enjoy them as well. Many vacationers, I assume, will literally stop their vehicles to take a picture of the animals and the barn. Some will slowly drive by just to speak to the animals. The first barn, approximate one block from the farmhouse, was originally built in around the same year as the farmhouse, 1876. Today, it is vacant and dialpidated.

Olde Farmhouse Retreat is a piece of history. Built in 1876, it still has charm and character as it did all those years ago. A semi secluded, peaceful area. Although it is located in Sevier County, it is just under 3 miles to Pigeon Forge. For those people who do not like steep roads and want less driving time, this is the place for you.
