Nice place…

So …nice spot with great views especially from the rooftop. Convenient to El Yunque. Just a heads up though that it is in a large gated community that is largely vacant— that part is a bit weird. Aside from that everything was fine.

Great spot for visiting El Yunque, Luquillo, Fajardo, etc.

We had an excellent stay at this quiet location--it's up the mountain from Palmer, so it's generally quiet in the evenings and has a great roof-top overlook of the Atlantic. Although the location is outside of a city/town, we found a lot of good restaurants very nearby--we particularly enjoyed Erick Pinchos (just up the road, tasty and good value for the money) and a couple of spots in nearby Palmer (Bungalu has great stuffed avocados and a good drink selection; Degree 18 Juice bar has delicious smoothies and hummus if you are looking for something lighter). Property is well situated to make sure you are first in line to El Yunque in the morning if you are exploring the rainforest, and it's a convenient drive to Luquillo and Fajardo. Even Old San Juan is only 45 minutes or so away. We enjoyed being able to go out and explore during the day, but always return somewhere quieter in the evenings. Karl and Maria are great hosts. Karl met us on site when we arrived and gave us a tour of the property so we knew where everything was and how everything worked. We didn't do a lot of cooking on site, so only needed basic dishes which the kitchen was well-stocked with, but there was also a grill on the roof and other capabilities that we just didn't take advantage of given the prevalence of good restaurants in the area. Would definitely recommend this property as a base for those with a car who are spending a lot of their time in eastern Puerto Rico.

Rio Grande, PR

I have been coming to PR for almost 10 years but this is the first time my family and I decided to use a vacation home. The property's location was ideal, and it was in a gated community. It was a peaceful haven, and the neighbors, many of whom were on vacation themselves, were courteous. The property was also close to the Luquillo coastline and the El Yunque rain forest. The house was immaculate when we arrived, and it featured all of the conveniences you'd expect in a holiday home. The owners were also gracious enough to offer us with information on sites we may visit while in Puerto Rico. I would definitely look forward in staying in this property again.
