We are glad that you enjoyed the view and the location! You're the first person to mention anything about the carpet, and we'll definitely look into that. It is our goal to give everyone the best vacation experience possible, and we rely upon guests like yourself to help keep us up to date on the specifics of our property when we can't be down there.

We set a high standard for ourselves, as evidenced by the scores of other 5-star reviews we have received, and we’re sorry your experience didn’t match your expectations. Everyone gets busy from time to time, including our cleaning crew, and we don’t always get everything right but we do always strive to get better. You’ll be happy to know that the replacement for the one chair cushion with the rip in it arrived via FedEx early (even with the supply chain issues!) and was installed in our home shortly after your departure, and we want to apologize on Comcast’s behalf for their cable that stopped working after your arrival and that we got fixed as quickly as we could before your departure. We weren’t aware of several of the other issues that you mentioned but trust that we will look into them and do our best to make sure that our home meets and exceeds the expectations of our future guests.

Out of the hundred or so reviews we have, they are virtually all 5 stars and we don't normally engage in responding, but this review greatly hurts our average and we want everyone to know what has really occurred. We are sorry that these guests succumbed to the hype about red tide. By the time they arrived in September all of the government reporting sites were indicating that the algae wasn't an issue in our area and that people really should be enjoying Florida for the paradise that it is. Regarding the checkin/checkout timing, this particular guest tried checking in 1 hour and 29 minutes before they had agreed that their stay would begin. The guest then contacted our caretaker, complaining about lack of access, who was very busy trying to accommodate other cleanings and had to drop what she was doing to take care of these guests. We make it very clear in the pre-checkin documentation that we send out that: -Check-In Date: 3:00PM or later on Saturday -The lock is programmed to allow access from your checkin time (3:00PM* on Saturday ) until your checkout time (10:00AM on Saturday ). There are other guests that will be checking out earlier in the day of your checkin, and other guests that will check in later on the day of your checkout. Our cleaning crew requires this time in between to do the work that they need to do to make sure that everyone's stay is as pleasant as possible. We are sorry that this guest (who apparently didn't have any issues with our condo itself) did not feel that they had the excellent experience that the rest of our guests have had and, in summary, we ask that you peruse the other hundred or so reviews we've got and make your decision.
