In einer eigenen Kategorie; Das Casa Velas befindet sich auf einem 7,5 Hektar großen Grundstück mit mehr als 200 Metern Strandfront am privatesten Teil des 4 Meilen langen Strandes von Playa Grande im Nationalpark Las Baulas. Diese geräumige Anlage ist nur wenige Schritte vom Wasser entfernt und bietet von praktisch jedem Standpunkt aus Blick auf den Strand und spektakuläre Sonnenuntergänge.

Der sehr große Pool (wo Sie tatsächlich Runden schwimmen und Kinder spielen können) ist nur wenige Schritte vom Strand entfernt und befindet sich in günstiger Lage zwischen der Tiki-Bar, dem Haupthaus und dem Gästehaus - alles umgeben von wunderschönen, mit Palmen bepflanzten Gärten , Obstbäume und Blumen, die Affen, exotische Vögel, Leguane und viele andere Arten von Wildtieren aus dem Park anziehen.

Mit drei Master-Suiten und zwei regulären Schlafzimmern (alle mit angrenzenden Badezimmern, Klimaanlage und Fernseher), einer voll ausgestatteten Küche mit Meerblick, drei Essbereichen sowie Wohn- und Außenbereichen ist das Casa Velas das ideale Ferienhaus für Gruppen von einer oder mehreren Personen Familien.

Die Villa ist so gestaltet, dass sie die verschiedenen Aktivitätsbereiche integriert und gleichzeitig Platz und Privatsphäre für die Gäste bietet.

Wenn Sie Ihre Reise zwischen Oktober und März planen, können Sie die majestätischen Lederschildkröten beobachten, die manchmal direkt vor dem Haupthaus nisten.

Garten- / Poolpflege und 24-Stunden-Sicherheit sind vorhanden. Der Reinigungsservice wird alle anderen zur Verfügung gestellt. Unser fantastischer Privatkoch steht Ihnen auch gerne zur Verfügung - alles trägt dazu bei, dass Sie Spaß, Spiel, Entspannung und Verwöhnung erleben, die das Leben in Costa Rica ausmachen.

Place is nice. If you are 3 couples staying the main house it will be fine. With more people, needing to occupy the guesthouse, be advised that it is not up to the same standard and in need of a reno. The view of the beach is limited unless you are on the elevated balcony of the guesthouse. The Staff were helpful but they were walking on eggshells.
Access to the "guesthouse" is over grass and not well illuminated at night.

Dear travelers; As you will notice; there is a dramatic contrast between Mr. Gagne's 6 point rating and those of our other very satisfied guests. The only explanation that comes to mind could be our refusal to comply to Mr. Gagne's strange request that we invite their entire group of 10 to a farewell dinner at a restaurant in Tamarindo. Mr. Gagne was quite insistent on it. Casa Velas' main house and guest house where completely remodeled in 2024.

We had an amazing stay! Sher was wonderful she helped with any little thing. Rodger was friendly and so helpful everyday.We had three teenagers and five adults - with grandparents. All the accommodations were exceptional - we all had our own space and air conditioning in the rooms. Ana cooked for us the first night and it was delicious and very reasonably priced- we should have had more dinners!The outdoor living space was great - lots of space to spread out and very comfortable. The beach was only steps away and had chairs right there.We had the best family visit and would love to return to this very house. Everything was exceptional!

This house is awesome and truly feels like it's in the jungle on the beach! We stayed for 4 days for a group of 10 and we all felt very comfortable. One room has two queens and two twins to accommodate a much larger group or if you brought kids. If you surf, it couldn't be better. The house is directly on the beach a few steps from the water and a short walk to Tamarindo. It also has a beautiful huge pool that is cleaned every day by on-site help. We highly recommend to use their chef Ana for meals and pre-order all of your groceries for delivery by her. Local neighborhood restaurants are within walking distance also. All bedrooms have AC plus nice bathrooms. The roads coming in our gravel or dirt, but give the house a real tropical remote feel. Working with their property manager Sher was a real treat also. Just great service all around. Couldn't recommend it more!

The home was amazing. Highly recommend. Location was fantastic. It is not highly populated which we loved. We did not have a car but managed walking places. There were 11 women staying at the house. We all had room to spread out and had ample seating towels etc. Many women walked to the water taxis to tamarindo daily or the longer 45min walk to playa grande.Bugs and animals were not an issue. We did see many crabs and raccoons. The beach was fantastic. Love love loved the sunsets.We hired cooks and got the groceries delivered. It was excellent food and plenty of it all week.Definitely would recommend!

Simply perfect…steps from the beach, well taken care of and secure. Team onsite and host took excellent care of our family with fresh cooked meals, rentals and any last minute needs. We loved our stay here! We had a big group of 12 people and the house along with the 2nd casita on the property was perfect for all of us! What makes this house so perfect is the outside area with the amazing pool and being only steps away from the beach. Playa grande is by far the best of the 6 beaches we visited while staying in Costa Rica! Perfect waves for our older kids the farther you go out but also perfect for our younger kids! We took surf lessons right outside our house and my older kids were safe to go to the beach to play whenever they wanted cause we were so close. We loved having AC in the bedrooms and Raquel comes and cleans daily which was very nice! Sher the property manager was available at all times and planned all of our excursions for me as well as a message at the house and a personal chef for 3 of our meals! I loved that the prices were all discussed ahead of time. It was a great for us to stay home for dinner with small children and not worry about preparing or clean up after dinner! Definitely worth it! I loved our stay here and would definitely come back!

Great Getaway

Casa Velas was delightful and the proximity to the pool and beach was perfect for us with young children. They communicated well and you must have Darling cook for you. It made the whole trip relaxing and delicious. Its not the Hilton and bring bug spray, but we all loved it. It was a great way to celebrate a birthday and family.

Beautiful Beach Location

This review is for the property, which was as advertised. All spaces are thoughtfully furnished, comfortable, and well-maintained. The outside areas are remarkable and beautiful with mere footsteps to a beautiful beach. The owner and her staff were accommodating and supported us when we needed information or assistance (e.g., language translations, transportation, etc.). Our grandkids LOVED the beach and pool. We all loved quality family time in a beautiful place.

The house was perfect for the high graduates. They really enjoyed the pool and beach. Ariel & Veronica were the highlight of our stay. Relaxing getaway

Casa Velas is the perfect oasis on Playa Grande away from the busy action in Tamarindo. It’s easily walkable to the boats to cross to Tamarindo for restaurants and shopping. Veronica is an amazing chef. I highly recommend having her cook meals. It was so nice to not worry about feeding a group of 14! Gorgeous property and lots of space for all. Definitely would stay at Casa Velas again.

paradise in Costa Rica

Can't say enough about Ana's house. The pictures do not do it justice. The pool area and sitting area was where we spent most of our time and it exceeded all expectations. The house itself was perfect for what we needed and my wife and I stayed king size suite in the separate dwelling with the four grandchildren staying below us. We were a party of twelve and had plenty of room. The description of the house states close to the beach, and that is no exaggeration. We were on the beach which was unbelievable to walk, swim and watch the beautiful sunsets. The staff with the place were the nicest people you could meet and were helpful in so many ways. We had three meals prepared at the house and we wish we could have done more. If you are looking for the perfect place on the beach in Costa Rica, Ana's house is a must.

My husband inherited the property from his family. Initially there was absolutely nothing so we would go camping. It was fantastic. Casa Velas was one of the first constructions in Playa Grande. When the first house was built, regulations did not require that there be a setback from the public area, so it was built as close to the beach as possible. We later opened up the house to to keep the feeling of outdoor living that we love so much. We have traveled around the world and have not yet found a place quite like our beautiful Playa Grande.

No other house in the area is as close to the ocean as Casa Velas. We do not walk to the beach. We can be in the comfort of the villa and be steps from the ocean.
The large swimming pool, also steps from the ocean, has the compound wrapped around it - very convenient to watch over the younger guests.
The luxury of great open space to generate a delicious sense of freedom.
