This place was amazing! The property and the views are truly understated. We were pleasantly surprised with the overall layout of the house and the beautiful grounds surrounding it.We were so happy with the location and the property that we already rebooked for next week. Anytime we need a place to stay in the Roaring Fork Valley, we will definitely be back!

Great Cozy Spot

House is a very cute style. Classic look outside but modern renovation inside. Beds were really comfortable. Lots of room for hanging or eating. Host was very attentive and responsive. Would stay again.

Awesome stay in Carbondale!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Mike's ski chalet. The view of Mt. Sopris is amazing and the most peaceful way to wake up in the AM. The chalet has a cool history from the original owner along with nice updates to the kitchen and baths. We had plenty of room in the 3 bedroom and 3 bath home and Mike was an exceptional host!

Perfect location to spend Christmas💜

We booked a place in Carbondale to spend Christmas with our son’s future in laws. It was the perfect location with a beautiful view of Mt Sopris. The house was perfect for us with individual bedrooms and bathrooms. We really enjoyed our stay and will keep it in mind next time we are in the valley. Thank you Mike for your kindness and beautiful home!

Steep driveway was icy and 4 wheel drive was definitely needed to use it.

Comfortable place. Unusual smell from washer was addressed by cleaning staff.

Carbondale is Beautiful!

Our stay in Carbondale was perfect. Mike was a perfect host. He called to check on us a couple of times while we were there to see if we needed anything. His home was perfect. Well appointed and very comfortable. We look forward to returning. Carbondale, Basalt and Aspen - they are all very close and each city has much to offer! We highly recommend this home.

Getaway in Carbondale

The house was a perfect set up for two couples plus we had room to spread out! The house is comfortable and the views of Sopris are breathtaking. The one note I would add is if you rent the house during mud season bring boots. Living on a dirt road is, well, dirty!

Amazing view with an amazing history

Mike was awesome easy to work with, I was having some issues with the commercial truck I was driving (I did not take it to the property, 24' straight truck, I don't think it would have made the turns) he offered up tools to help resolve my issue. Hopefully I get it (I'm afraid this is going to become a hot property year round because of the view of Mt. Sopris) for my New Years Eve fireworks crew again next year. Wish i could post the pictures I took of the winter view on 12-29-2022 just wow.

Decent Stay, but horrible smell upon arrival

The home is pretty remote with great views. You can tell owner put some money into modernizing. The smell upon arrival really spoiled the stay. The owner came by to try to fix and sent a plumber, but the smell never fully went away. The smell also has made it home with us on clothes we washed there. The first night there the owner's dog who lives nearby barked a lot and we asked owner to put him inside. Overall, an ok stay.

Michael-- Upon arrival (6:00 PM) you complained about a dog and a smell in the laundry area. I had my friend take her dog home and had a plumber come the next day to replace the studor vent in the washing machine. The house no longer has a smell or my friends dog. I did all I could and the issues were remedied.
