Nisswa Lake House

If you are searching for the classic Minnesota cabin experience, our modern farmhouse on the lake just minutes away from Nisswa is for you! The Lake House was just completed in 2020 and it is brand new inside and out!!

Just minutes outside of Nisswa off the Paul Bunyan trail, you will arrive at the Lake House by driving down a charming private driveway welcoming you to your lake getaway. The beautiful seasonal flowers will greet you at the front door. The main level features windows capturing a panoramic view of the gorgeous lake from every angle. The Lake House has a wonderful open floor plan on the main level that features a combined great room/kitchen/living room with a large gas-burning fireplace offering a cozy place to enjoy the evening views. The main floor connects to a three-season porch with a 75” inch television overlooking the lake with a fire-burning fireplace – firewood included, of course!

Stepping outside from the screened porch, you will find a smokeless Breeo fire pit overlooking the lake that is steps away from the outdoor grill and the gorgeous landscaping along the gentle slope leading down to the lake where you will find a dock and a pontoon boat to enjoy the lake.

Location, Location, Location!

Situated just three miles north of the town of Nisswa, crystal clear East Twin Lake has a clarity of 18’ and boasts wonderful fishing and a private lake experience. During the summer, this private recreational lake is perfect for fishing, skiing, wake boarding, canoeing, kayaking, paddle boarding and all water-based activities, including playing on a Lily Pad!! The Lake House’s location on a quiet tar county road make it perfect for a morning walk or bike ride and just a few minutes down the road you will find Grandview's Preserve Golf Course. The Lake House is located just under a mile from the Paul Bunyan trail, which takes you right to downtown Nisswa by bike or foot to enjoy the restaurants, shops, and breweries!

The Lake House is just 10 minutes from Grandview Lodge if you are searching for an additional place to stay while attending a wedding or event in the area. Shorter stays may be accommodated upon request if you are just in town for the weekend!

During the winter months the lake is perfect for ice fishing, cross country skiing, snowshoeing, and is a perfect base camp to access just minutes away from the Paul Bunyan trail offering the endless miles of groomed snowmobile trails.

Stay Connected

We understand the need to stay connected when you’re away and the Lake House is equipped with High Speed Wireless Internet, three Smart TVs with cable television provided, and a Sonos music system. The Lake House will be your home away from home with beautiful floors, wood beams, granite countertops, air conditioning, new appliances and a softened water system.

What’s Included

Kitchen - The Lake House’s kitchen is fully equipped to prepare a holiday meal, hearty breakfast or a feast on the grill! Full spice rack for your use, crockpots, roasting pans, baking dishes, etc. If you need it, we will probably have it but don’t hesitate to ask in advance of your stay! For the coffee drinkers, the kitchen also offers a Nespresso machine to make anything from simple espresso shots to a macchiato (pods included!) and a Bunn Traditional Coffee Pot. The outdoor area also provides an outdoor grill with a view of the lake.

Lake Gear - We want you to enjoy the lake without having to bring everything with you so we provide plenty of towels, lily pad, life jackets, floating tubes and paddle boards.

Bath - Each bathroom also has plenty of towels, hand soap, and basic toiletries so you are able to enjoy your stay within minutes of walking in the door – no need for a trip to the store first!

Kids Gear - The Lake House is equipped with two pack n' plays, a mini crib, a kids mattress for the floor, dock-a-tot, infant bath for sink, baby seat for bath tub, standing bouncer, and infant bouncers, so you can leave all of the extra gear at home!

Laundry - You are welcome to use the washer and dryer during your stay and we will provide you with the laundry essentials.
