The pleasant mid century modern house features first floor living just four steps in, with an optional portable ramp. Conveniently located, about eight minutes drive from Mayo Clinic, Civic Center and Downtown Rochester and a short walk to Silver Lake and Quarry Hill Nature preserve. You'll have easy access to Mayo and the city's top attractions, entertainment and activities from a quant, safe neighborhood.

Relax at home and enjoy all the comforts with WiFi and two google smart TV's. Prepare meals in the proper kitchen, equipped with all necessary appliances and utensils.
Unwind in the comfortable living room, or challenge your family to a game of ping pong or many board and card games. Curl up in the plush reclyner with a good book and let the little ones explore the toys and games catered just for them. Find fresh air and relaxation on the three season porch anytime of day. Perfect rental to relax and have all the comforts of home! We were able to cook in the very well stocked kitchen. So much better than a hotel stay.

Everything you could possibly need and more was there for your use. Colette was amazing and responded quickly to emails. Playroom for children was well stocked and sun room was a bonus. This place was amazing and perfect for a family! We came to Rochester to visit our family and this place seemed to have all the amenities and everything needed for us to be able to enjoy our children, grandchildren, and nieces and nephews. The place did not disappoint.

“Beautiful house, fully equipped, clean, spacious, and comfortable, close to everything, just as described. The master bedroom has a king-size bed that can recline. The house is a 5-minute drive from the Mayo Clinic and a 30-minute walk. It’s also a 10-minute drive from St. Mary’s Hospital. Lovely surroundings with beautiful parks. Colette, the host, is super attentive, kind, and always ready to help if you need anything extra. It truly feels like a home away from home. I highly recommend it.”

Mom’s House

Such a wondrous find. In town with my own near octogenarian mother for tests at the Mayo, she had absolutely no problems cruising around this absolutely gorgeous home with her walker. Space galore!! She was sure to point out the pinch pleated drapes and sheers, the original hardwoods, and the absolute down home feeling. In fact, she said she “could live here if my home wasn’t in Illinois.” We were only two but this space is phenomenal for groups of 2-12, or more.Less than 10 minutes from the Mayo, in an extremely quiet neighborhood Mom’s House has many modern updates with the homespun feel of going to “Grandma’s” house. Games galore for kids/adults of all ages. The entire basement is such an incredible Rec Room!!! The small, well thought out touches are just unbelievable. Cannot recommend this home enough!!!

Home away from Home

It was a great weekend!! We went to Rochester for my daughter's Dance Competition. We had to be there for 3-4 days and hotels were just too expensive. The house was great. It was like going to stay at grandma's house with a few modern updates. Check in was extremely easy with no issues. We saved a ton of money from not getting a hotel and saved on going out to eat because we just bought groceries and cooked there. It was in a cute labor very close to the civic center he. Also loved all of the board games, ping pong table, and the four season porch. We definitely will be renting this place again. It was an amazing experience for my first time using VRBO!

Colette was amazing at communicating, Her home is spotless, so very clean , neat , and so many thoughtful extras. The kitchen was stocked with beautiful dishes,, glassware , and utensils and cookware, comfy beds and linens, soft towels, hair dryer, curling wand, shampoo, conditioner, and shower gel. Beautiful writing desks, lovely, antique furniture pieces, I could go on and on, and couldn’t name all the extra touches Colette provided. We loved the use of an attached garage.She has provided many areas for children to play and lots of games and things for them to do. Three bedroom home with pull out would be great for families. We loved staying here and will be back again. It was wonderful when we go to Mayo Clinic to be in a home like place to stay. Thanks Colette!

The home was perfect for our family siblings get together. We are all senior citizens and appreciated everything was so very clean & perfect for the 5 of us. The home was immaculate! We felt right at home as soon as we walked in. All of the extras around the house was very thoughtful. The kitchen had every utensil we would have needed to cook anything.The livingroom was very comfortable with more than enough furniture for a family, there was only 2 of us. The master bedroom bed was very comfortable. We had good night sleeps every night. The adjustable bed was very nice!We had fun playing ping pong even though my husband cheats and won every game.The flower pots outside were beautiful. Such a nice touch.We come to Mayos frequently and we will definitely check for availability. Thank you Colette for making this stay so comfortable.

Rochester is my hometown but I have also lived in New York, Florida and Ohio. I have been staying in VRBO's for over twenty years. Some here in Rochester for Holiday stays, at various Minnesota Lakes for annual family Summer vacations, Winter getaways in Florida and California trips to visit Family as well as travels to Italy and Costa Rica. A couple years ago, semi retired, I moved back to Rochester and recently bought a ranch style, family house to host my own VRBO. I hope to use my vast experience as a guest to be great host.

I so enjoy traveling and love nature and outdoor recreation but also crave city culture, theater, shopping, art and fine dining. Family has always been a top priority. With that in mind, I chose a house in a great location that resembles what I look for when I'm traveling. Convenience, centrally located with easy access, family friendly and extra room.. My goal is to provide a comfortable , carefree, fun environment for folks visiting my hometown.

Aside from the convenient, family eccentric location, this roomy ranch style home has just three steps to enter the house with convenient First Floor living. A roomy, flowing layout creates a nice atmosphere of togetherness and/or solitude. The adjustable bed and TV in the master bedroom is a must for anyone in recovery who needs short term care and bedrest or just a great place to read or watch a movie before bed. The kitchen has most of anything you might need for cooking and dining and features all new appliances.
In the basement is a good ping pong table and a fun playroom for the kiddos. A quaint patio is great place to relax, enjoy the peaceful out doors or visit and play games.
