Amazing

We were Dave’s guests over the 4th of July weekend. Dave’s communication is amazing. The condo itself is beautiful, spacious, and beautifully decorated. We cannot wait for our future trips. Sonoran Sun has easily become my favorite resort. We have stayed all over Rocky Point, but nothing compares to the Sun. Thanks Dave!

Another successful year

Second year in a row we've stayed here for Circus Mexicus. We had 7 in our party, so the code key lock is amazing! The room has been nicely upgraded. It was another great stay.

This place was perfect! Me and 8 other adults all stayed there go celebrate my birthday and it fit us all perfectly! The place was beautiful and spacious. The view was gorgeous. Over all it was a great trip. 10/10 :)

Family get away

Property was well appointed, room was beautifully decorated. Description stated 2 queens and twin bunk in 3rd room so we were a bit short in sleeping arrangements. Owner did change description when brought to his attention. Some dish towels would have been very helpful. Toilet paper and paper towels were easy to get from front desk. There were several things needing minor maintenance but nothing urgent ( chairs, stove, door handles, closet doors) but overall it was a beautiful room with comfortable beds and charming decor. The key lad entry was very helpful! The resort was great, staff were friendly, pool and grounds were always clean and maintained. Host was quick to respond

The remodel on this property was very well done. We’ve been staying at different units at the Sun for over 15 years, and this was one of the better condos we’ve had. The keypad lock on the front door is a godsend, especially for a 3 bedroom which typically implies you are traveling with a larger group. The only caution I would give future travelers is to always check the water dispenser before putting the plastic jug in it. For some reason, those typically don’t get cleaned. And sure enough, we found old pieces of bacon if ours and spent a good 20 min cleaning. The condo could also use a few more towels. But again, overall this is a great 3 br condo and we would stay here again.

Beautiful condo and location - just short on some minor conveniences.

This property was great for our group of 8. Plenty of room for everyone. The 3rd floor patio view was amazing. There were just a few minor inconveniences I feel should be mentioned because I believe they could go a long way if remedied: there were no extra rolls of TP or paper towels available (or just a kitchen hand towel). No kleenex available. We could not locate a broom or mop, which would have come in handy. No plastic cups, just glass, which isn’t ideal for families with kiddos. One of the TV remotes, along with the very large decorative wall clock had dead batteries. Again just some small touches to enhance guest experiences. Would we stay here again? Absolutely!

Great resort, great beach! Condo missing a couple things.

We had a blast as always in Puerto Penasco. Would have been 5 out of 5 stars if two things were fixed, but they were inconvenient. The master bathroom has no hot water in the shower. The sinks and other showers do, but no matter how long we left it on, no hot water. I saw the review from March stating no hot water but we had already booked. Also, the tub in the master is a big, jetted tub but it gets no water at all, doesnt work. You can't use the tub at all. The master bath needs repaired. Smaller issue, but the shower in the hallway bath will only turn off if the handle is exactly up and down. Put it in any other location and it will drip all day wasting water. If you are not careful, it could drip all day spraying water all over the place making a mess of this otherwise beautiful condo. That's it for negative stuff. The condo is a great size, all kinds of room. Patio is big, great place to sit and eat looking at the view. Plenty of dishes for cooking. Appliances worked great. Like I mentioned, would have been 5/5 stars if plumbing issues were fixed, but they can't be overlooked.

Great thanksgiving getaway.

We were nine guests, 4 adults and 5 college age adults, and this unit suited us nicely. We loved the location and amenities of Sonoran Sun. Dave was great with responding to my questions. Some of us forgot shampoo and whenever I’ve rented at the resorts in the past there has been hotel type amenities including shampoo and conditioner, but this unit did not have any, so bring your own. The kitchen was fully stocked and suited all of our cooking needs with the exception of not having any sharp knives, and we could have used more dish towels. The views are amazing, and we had no trouble with the cable or WiFi. The combination lock on the door was very convenient for our group, reducing the stress of keeping track of the keys.

Sonoran Sun is the place to be!

I cannot say enough good things about this unit! It was very clean, well kept and very comfortable.. By far the best condo we’ve stayed at in all of our trips to RP..I would like to thank everyone from the owner to the staff at Sonoran Sun. It was my parents first time visiting RP and they had a blast! We will definitely be returning.. Again, thank you for allowing us this opportunity to stay at such a beautiful resort/condo..

Great Family Vacation!!

We loved the location and the resort! It was true to the pictures posted online. We enjoyed the initial impression of this property. I want to rate this property 5 overall but because of the sliding door not working at all in the bedroom and the main one being super hard to open and close I can’t. It also took several days to get the washer changed out that was broken when we got there. Other than that it was great!! We would stay there again. The pools and ocean are right out front and it was super fun to be so close ☀️

Beautiful & well taken care of

We loved our visit to Puerto Penesco. The condo was well maintained and the landlord was attentive to our questions and needs. All beds & sofa were comfortable and big enough for our group of 9 to hang out on. The 3rd floor is the perfect location, you can see the beach and the pool from the spacious balcony.
