The Space:

This one-of-a-kind vacation destination is perfect for group trips, corporate rentals, family reunions, and large groups of friends traveling together.



RiverHaus Retreat at Gruene is an amazing, newly renovated 4400 square foot home with 6 spacious guest suites - each with En suite bathroom - and a 7th bunk room.  Comfortably sleeps up to 28 people in beds.  The home boasts a total of seven flat screen smart TV's in the living room and all main bedrooms - Internet enabled so you can log in to your Netflix, Hulu, and Amazon prime accounts. You'll enjoy WiFi mesh net with high speed internet connection, water softener and reverse osmosis drinking water. All main bedrooms feature a luxury Posh+Lavish Oeko-Tex Certified mattress, crisp hotel linens and towels, and complete hotel bath amenities. The Twin XL bunk beds feature Oeko-Tex certified cooling memory foam mattresses.  The Coddle me Queen convertible sofa beds are not your ordinary sofa bed.  They convert to a 80”L x 60”W sleep surface and feature sinuous springs and pocket coil mattress technology.



Enter through a gated courtyard to the front door. A beautiful flagstone patio with several shaded conversation areas can be found here.



Enter the front door into the expansive Great room with wood plank ceiling and river rock gas fireplace has 9 sets of French doors that open to courtyard and back patio to capture the outdoor breeze and enjoy views of the river. Large gourmet kitchen has unique island with prep sink & offers seating for 6. Kitchen is equipped with 2 column refrigerators and a column freezer, six-burner gas cooktop and oven, 2 dishwashers, full kitchen sink, prep sink, microwave, ice maker and coffee bar. Just outside the kitchen, you'll find our outdoor kitchen area with two gas grills. Enjoy outdoor dining overlooking the pool and river.



Sliding double doors off the Kitchen open to the Dining / Conference room with four French doors to the side yard & pool Four large dining / conference tables easily accommodate your large group for dinner or a meeting with seating for 28. A built in desk and large flat screen TV are available to facilitate your meeting or conference. Large Laundry / Utility room with two sets of washers/dryers are available to guests.



The vaulted great room has a beautiful stone faced gas fireplace and panoramic views of the property and the river.  A 75" UHD TV sits above the mantle. Two large leather sectionals along with multiple accent chairs allow seating for everyone in your group. Enjoy a game of poker or Texas Hold’em at the large round game table or play a game of chess or checkers in the deconstructed leather game chairs



The Master Suite can be found in the wing off the Great room and has bay window sitting area with amazing views of property & river and 14 foot ceiling. A king size canopy bed and Luxury Coddle me sofa that converts to full size Queen bed can accommodate 4 guests. The master boasts a private En suite bathroom with walk-in shower and dual sinks.



The 2nd bedroom is also in this wing off the Great room. Here you'll find a King bed and luxury Coddle me sofa that converts to full size Queen bed can accommodate 4 guests. This bedroom also has a full En suite bathroom with walk-in corner shower.



The 3rd bedroom - known as the Casita bedroom - is privately accessed from the front courtyard. This bedroom has a king size bed and an alcove with Twin bunk bed and full En suite bathroom with walk-in shower.



Bedrooms 4, 5, and 6 can be found off of the rear hallway that leads to the infinity edge pool. Each of these rooms have king size bed and Luxury Coddle me sofa that converts to full size Queen bed can accommodate 4 guests.  Bedroom 4 has an En  suite full bathroom with tub/shower while bedrooms 5 and 6 have full En suite bathrooms with walk-in shower.



The Bunk room 7 has two custom built Twin XL bunkbeds.  These bunkbeds have extra headroom to easily accommodate adult guests.  The bunk room has access to the hall powder bath or the PoolHaus full bathroom with skylights and walk-in shower.



In the side yard you'll enjoy an In-ground **heated pool with spa and spacious flagstone veranda for outdoor dining. A full bathroom with walk-in shower can be found in the PoolHaus.  Outdoor seating and sun loungers surround the pool.



In the lower yard at the river's edge, you'll find comfortable seating and a large wood burning fire-pit - take your coolers and towels and enjoy a dip in the river. Look out over the River from the top of the massive stone retaining wall. River access steps take you directly to the water's edge - swim, fish, kayak, paddle board, or tube directly off the back of the property.



There is paved parking available on the property for 10 to 14 cars depending upon their size and the parking configuration.



Special Events Allowed - Perfect for family reunions, bachelor/bachelorette parties, wedding parties / receptions, corporate retreats, birthday parties, graduation celebrations, Christmas parties, and company picnics or gatherings.  Special events must be approved in advance - Contact us for information and pricing.



Bring your events to life at The RiverHaus Retreat at Gruene!  Our beautiful riverside villa is designed to host a variety of events from corporate retreats to family reunions. Included in your rental is a luxury **heated pool and hot tub, numerous spaces for socializing and entertaining outdoors, outdoor kitchen and direct and easy private access to the Guadalupe River from the park like back yard.  Want your event catered? We can recommend private chefs, local restaurants, and mobile bartenders who will design a custom meal and drink menu for your event.



**Pool heating is additional cost of $150 plus tax per stay that must be prepaid before your arrival.  Pool heating is not possible if the outside temperature is below 50 degrees as the pool is heated using a heat pump.  The hot tub is still available as it utilizes a gas heater.



**Events will require notice prior to arrival and a separate event agreement.  Events will be charged separately from the nightly rental rate.



Guest Access:

Guests have access to the entire property except for three locked closets and a storage unit used for supplies. No Lifeguard on duty - use of hot tub, swimming pool, and river is at your own risk.



The Neighborhood:

Situated on the edge of a quiet residential neighborhood directly on the Guadalupe River with 165 feet of river frontage . In the middle of the action yet the property feels private and secluded -midway between downtown New Braunfels and the Gruene Historic District. 2 miles to Schlitterbahn, the New Braunfels Courthouse // Gazebo. 1.5 miles to the Gristmill Restaurant // Gruene, 35 miles to the Alamo // San Antonio, 47 miles to the Texas Capital // Austin.



Getting Around:

A short car or golf cart ride to downtown New Braunfels or downtown Gruene. Grocery stores, and restaurants are nearby.



Other Things to Note:

o For guests who book on Airbnb - Max occupancy for this property is more than 16 guests. If you will have more than 16 guests please message us as we will need to adjust the number for your booking. There is an additional guest fee of $25 per night per guest over the base occupancy of 14 (2 per bedroom).

o The booking guest must be at least 25 years old.

o Parties / events allowed - must be approved prior to booking and will incur an additional fee. Please message us.

o Refunds for guests who booked through HomeAway / VRBO or our direct website will be processed minus any credit card fees as they are not refunded to the host
