Location, location, location! Welcome to the Lotus Loft, located in downtown Cashiers on the second floor above Bungalow Boutique. Our central location in the business district allows easy access by foot or by car to local restaurants, shopping, Buck's Coffee Cafe, Cashiers Farmer's Market, The Village Green Park and Greenway, and much, much more.

The Lotus Loft is a light and bright studio apartment with everything you need to enjoy your time in the mountains including a fully stocked kitchen, small mountain view, an open living space and back porch.

The porch overlooks a pond out back with a very peaceful fountain that is stocked with Koi and other fish. Relax on the back porch with a hot cup of coffee or tea while listening to the birds chirping in the morning, or wind down the day with a good book.

Other outdoor activities and adventures include a variety of hiking trails, waterfalls, fly fishing river excursions, boat rentals on Lake Glenville, whitewater rafting, mountain biking, horseback riding, private scenic tours with Highland Excursions, beekeeping tours, zip lining, gem mining, star gazing and more.

The host was very helpful and delightful to work with. The unit was spacious and spotless with a kitchen that was very well equipped. The screened in porch was a bonus. The perfect little hideaway! We really enjoyed staying at this property. It has everything that you need. Tucked in over the boutique and yoga studio, it is convenient to everything in Cashiers while giving you the feeling of being off the beaten path. We really enjoyed the screened in porch for relaxing with our coffee in the mornings. Mary was a great host and was very gracious to work with us on a problem totally of our own making. Beautiful and spacious studio. Tastefully decorated and thoughtfully designed. It has everything you need — full kitchen, full washer and dryer, ironing board. Perfect for either a short or longer term stay. The outdoor space ( a netted balcony overlooking a huge koi pond) had a postcard view! Great location. A peaceful, comfy spot in the middle of downtown Cashiers stop

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. We especially loved mornings on the screened-in porch with our morning coffee. The space is equipped with everything you would need and very clean. The mattress and bed linens were excellent
 a make or break when traveling! Loved walking across the street to the farmers market to pick up fresh berries, banana bread and other goodies. Could not have asked for a better experience. Peaceful and comfortable. To be honest, I wasn’t sure how it would be staying above a boutique/studio. But not a sound was heard! What a gem this place is.

Very nice place nice area too. Mary was very nice. One issue the toilet wasn’t working. We had to use a pot with water the flush it. Owner tried to get a plumber but was not able to get one. It was fine but it was 4 nights. Was not offered a discount on the rate / price. Oh well.

I stayed here for a week as a retreat for myself after a procedure. Wow! It was even better than I anticipated it would be. First of all, the pictures do not do this beautiful dwelling justice. It’s much bigger and more spacious than it appears in photos. The “balcony” is actually a rather large screened in porch overlooking a large pond, Treetop views from every window. Yoga, massage, a salt cave, red light therapy and more are all right downstairs. Farmers market across the street (when the Season is open) and multiple places to eat in walking distance. The layout of the apt was wonderful for one person or a couple, has a huge washer dryer, an amazing kitchen that has everything you need to cook (minus the food), a great shower too. The entire place was immaculate, and the most comfortable bed I’ve ever slept in. Quiet, tons of privacy and convenience. The owner of the Vrbo was awesome; very responsive and helpful! The boutique and spa she runs are top notch, ethically sourced items and the whole place felt like magic. I couldn’t have picked a better place to heal and I never wanted to leave. Thank you Mary!

We enjoyed our stay in the large studio above the boutique. Friday night charcuterie in the enclosed balcony overlooking the pond. On Saturday we enjoyed hiking, shopping (in Cashiers) and spent the afternoon in Highlands. We completed the evening with dinner at the Library kitchen and bar.

Couples Getaway

As soon as we walked in the upstairs apartment, we knew we found a gem!!! Perfect for 2 adults on a long weekend! The decor was clean amd modern with everything we needed to relax with no worries!! The bed was super comfy with high end bedding. The shower was beautiful! The sitting area was plenty big with multiple options for seating. There was also a cute balcony with comfortable seating!! Oh and the kitchen

As a native to Florida, I moved to the area in 2001 to be with my now husband after a short stent in Denver, Colorado. We absolutely love living here! It's an incredible place to raise a family. I have actively been selling real estate in the area since 2004 and work with Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices as a sales broker. Let me know if you decide you'd like to buy your own mountain getaway, it would be a pleasure to work with you!

I am also the owner of Cashiers Valley Fusion Yoga & Wellness which I opened in 2012 as a product of the recession. We were both in housing and realized we could not have all of our eggs in one housing basket, so I turned to my love of yoga. I have regularly been teaching four yoga classes a week since.

Then, as a product of COVID, I expanded the yoga studio into a yoga & wellness studio in late 2021 because I realized I couldn't have all of my eggs in the yoga basket. This also prompted me to open Bungalow Boutique to diversify my offerings to the community.

My husband, Steve, is the owner of Green Mountain Builders and has been building across the Highlands-Cashiers area since moving here. His office is located in downtown Highlands and has a super cute 1 bedroom/1 bath apartment above it that I also manage (VRBO# 323662).
