Hi Amanda, I would like to address your comment that the listing is misleading. This is the second time in 15 years we’ve had a plumbing issue and yes, unfortunately, it happened during your stay. This was a plumbing emergency and the plumber came out the same day. The cleaning person did not see the leak or it would have been fixed before you arrived. I did not ask you to not to use the bedroom/bathroom only if you wouldn’t mind using the downstairs shower until the plumber had a chance to diagnose the problem. I ended up using a plumber I’ve never worked with before because everyone else I called was saying they wouldn’t be able to come out for 2 to 3 days. Unfortunately he “fixed” the problem, but later I learned the problem had gotten worse! I immediately called the plumber and he came back. As for the outdoor spigot I had it repaired before, but I had just learned about it from a previous guest there was an issue again. The plumber fixed that, too. The cleaning person had not notice any leaks or it would have been resolved before arrived. I do not advertise they have a gas grill. I have a weber grill. Prior to your stay, I did explain to you that the sheets are on top of the bed. That’s how we know whether or not they’ve been used or not. We do this so we don’t wash clean sheets (better for the environment!) The coin operated washing machine is original to the house. Again keeping the environment in mind, we don’t think it makes sense to throw out a perfectly working machine, but it’s been disabled so you do not need coins. Also there’s a second washing machine if you’d prefer not to use that one. The check in time has always been 5 PM. The listing says it’s a duplex, but this information was clarified and sent to you before your arrival. There is a huge living room/dinning room combo where people can congregate along with a upstairs balcony, a front porch, and a back porch/yard. We did our best to resolve the situation with the least amount of hassle to you. I am really sorry that it happened, but it was resolved during your stay. I also contacted Comcast repeatedly to try and solve the tv issue, but these things are beyond our control. Finally, you didn’t mention that you were offered a late check out or an extra nights stay, which you declined. So in addition to an apology you were offered something for the inconvenience. Our guest’s experience (and the property) matter a lot to us!
