Peaceful and private well-built Blue Ridge mountain log cabin panoramic mountain views. Enter the upper level from the front porch, that includes a double rocker, two rockers, and a large hammock, to the spacious open living area with a wood burning stove, ample kitchen with island (seats two) and separate dining area that seats six comfortably. The French doors open onto the 200 sq. ft. deck with seating for six and beautiful mountain views. The warm motif of this log cabin continues throughout the two roomy upstairs bedrooms and the third bedroom downstairs. The great room is host to a large wood stove, furnished with a queen-size sleeper sofa, 50" plasma tv, and game table that offers your choice of cards, checkers, chess or backgammon. Yoga mats, blocks, straps, and jump rope are available. This cloistered gem is less than 30 minutes from downtown Charlottesville, VA, 20 min to Wintergreen Resort, and close to renowned VA wineries (see Monticello wine trail in photos), breweries, distilleries, and the breathtaking hiking trails of the Blue Ridge Mountains, Shenandoah Valley, and Appalachian Trail.

Fantastic cabin tucked away on a mountain, felt right at home with our two young children. The host Michael was so welcoming and easy to communicate with. Pictures don’t do this place justice, very spacious and beautiful. GREAT PRICE!
"We were seeking an escape to the mountains for our family during spring break. Michael’s cabin exceeded our expectations. It was private, had amazing views, and provided us with every modern day accommodation. It was a little far to get to with a long, windy, narrow driveway but we were close to everything we wanted to experience. The surrounding land is very steep and must be explored carefully, but my son loved the little pond on the property. We only reached out once and Michael was immediately responsive and helpful. We thoroughly enjoyed our trip and stay!"

Cozy Getaway

Cabin was as advertised. Well supplied, clean, and everything was in good working order. Three comfortable beds in three spacious bedrooms. We would definitely stay again when we want to stay near our daughter at Liberty University.

Beautiful Cabin - You’ll Love It!

We came to visit our LU student and whisked her away from reality up to this cabin in the woods, and it didn’t disappoint! After almost changing locations due to having to explain we weren’t going to party when mentioning our adult son might come along to work remotely and asked if our daughter’s roommate could possibly visit (we are the parents of six adult kids), we decided to go and hope for the best. It was great! The host responded to any questions immediately. We had all we needed and especially loved that the entire place (inside and out) was decorated for fall. What a nice touch! Our art major daughter loved all the art on the walls. We could only come because the hosts allowed us to bring our fur babies, which we were grateful for. The house was immaculate (a must for us) and had lots of outlets for charging things, which isn’t always an availability in cabins. We hiked down and up the driveway several times a day to enjoy the fall leaves and stay in shape (it’s about half a mile down and up the steep climb). The pond along the driveway was adorable. We drove to the Blue Ridge Parkway at sunset, went shopping in Charlottesville, enjoyed takeout at nearby restaurants, went apple picking, and spent hours playing cards at the lovely card table. What a perfect way for Floridians to soak in a taste of real fall! The only negative was the smelly garbage having to be taken off site out of the way home, but not sure of a solution for that. We will definitely return.

Secluded Getaway

This property is beautiful! Very secluded and peaceful. It was very well equipped and had a very warm and comfortable feeling. There were wineries and breweries in the area that we visited and enjoyed. This was a getaway with my brother and sister-in-law from South Carolina (we’re from PA). If was a perfect mid way point and we all were very happy with the cabin. We wanted a place where we could sit on decks/porches and enjoy the outdoors and this place was perfect. My husband especially enjoyed his nap in the hammock! The driveway was a little scary on the first trip up but we quickly got used to it. We highly recommend this property.

Cozy Weekend Getaway

This cabin is located between Charlottesville and WinterGreen resort. It takes about 45-50 minutes to get to each, so if you are planning to ski, you should plan to arrive early at the resort and stay for the day. The cabin is adorable and has great views of the mountains. If you like to cook you will find the kitchen well stocked with good quality pans. The linens and beds were the best we have ever had at a VRBO and they provided extra blankets that were warm and cozy. It was very clean. The only negative would be the trash. We took one load to the address on the house manual but the drive is out of the way. We left one bag of trash inside the cabin when we checked out. We would absolutely stay here again. I'm sure it is beautiful in the fall.

Meticulously built, furnished, and maintained as it is our second home which we visit frequently. It's a spacious 2400 sq ft cabin surrounded by nature and the beauty of the unspoiled mountain countryside. Yet, it is close to Virginia's finest skiing, wineries, breweries, and all that nearby Charlottesville has to offer.
