Das sonnige, komfortables Landhaus bietet alle Annehmlichkeiten, die zu Ihrer Reise so angenehm wie möglich zu machen. Konzentrieren Sie sich auf Ihren Urlaub genießen - nur bringen Sie sich und Ihre Koffer! Packen Sie Licht - es gibt eine Waschmaschine und Trockner, so dass Sie leicht in einer Ladung Wäsche an Ihrer Bequemlichkeit zu werfen. Die Bettwäsche wird eingerichtet, zusammen mit allen notwendigen Küchengeräte, Kaffeemaschine, Mikrowelle und Geschirrspüler. Wir haben auch tierfreundliche Holzlaminatböden, ein Gasgrill, eine große schöne Veranda zu genießen Mittagsschlaf oder Happy Hour Getränke und zwei Kamine Sie warm an kühlen Abenden zu halten. Verbringen Sie eine Woche die Landschaft zu genießen, Essen gutes Essen, Shopping, Golf, Wandern, Radfahren, Wandern, genießen Strände und Wasseraktivitäten ...... und nicht zu vergessen die Drive-in-Kino! Es ist nur wenige Minuten von unserer Haustür. Suche nach einem ruhigen Tag zu Hause? Wir halten ein paar Hof-Spiele auf der Hand, ebenso wie Bücher, DVDs, Spiele und Puzzles für Regentage. Eine Feuerstelle ist erlaubt, wenn die Bedingungen dies zulassen.

Wonderful place to spend some time

Great communication from the owners. Easy directions to find the place. Good location. Easy check-in process. A good amount of space for five people. Property was clean and as advertised. Would definitely look to stay there again if I was in the area.

Wonderful stay!

Oh my goodness, can’t say enough good things about our stay here! Super clean, cozy, and very well stocked. Coffee on the porch in the mornings was delightful, the bed were comfy, and we truly enjoyed every minute. Very appreciative of the communication from the host as well. We will be back!

Just as described.

The place is just as pictured, if not nicer. Excellent location, very safe. Would stay here again, however there aren’t towels for bathing so make sure you bring your own!

This made girls trip 10x better

This property was just what we were looking for our getaway weekend! A secluded spot that was close to all the amenities that Door County offers. Communication was smooth, the property kept up and overall just an amazing home for a couple of days.

Fall Getaway in Door County

We spent 7 wonderful nights at the beautiful Mingary cottage. The property is somewhat secluded, but close enough to be just a short drive from all Door County has to offer! There was not one thing that we needed, that was not provided. I cannot say enough about the wonderful porch! Sitting outside with a cup of coffee, a book, or a glass of wine was relaxing, as well as beautiful. We enjoyed watching the deer and the turkeys in the yard. The beds were comfortable, the grill was in like new condition, as was the washer and dryer. We loved the home and can't wait to return next year!

Great Stay

Wonderful place to stay! We loved the quiet location of the of the property. The house was very clean and more than enough room for five adults and one dog. The owners were very communicative and helpful. Towels would have been helpful, but we would definitely stay there again.

Mingary rates very high with us

We've stayed in many different places in Door County and must say this was one of the best. It was as described--clean, comfortable, well-appointed, and well-located. It's located in a very peaceful setting about 1/2 mile off Hwy 42 on Orchard Road in Ephraim. We enjoyed sitting on the front porch ... and, well, just everything. Our Scottie enjoyed it, too.

Amazing Stay in Ephraim

I loved my week at the Mingary Cottage! The home was full of light, had soft, comfortable furniture, and great views. My dog loved running around in the front yard. Janell and Kevin were quick to respond to questions and personable. I will definitely stay here the next time I come to Door County!

Amazing House

We loved our weeklong stay at the Mingary. The house is beautiful, the kitchen well stocked with nice appliances and dishes, pans etc. The location of the house is so convenient to shopping, hiking, orchards etc. yet it feels like you're in the middle of the woods. Lots of good birding right from the living room too!

Wonderful Stay

Cottage was great! Well stocked, lots of room, very quiet and great location. Range and refrigerator were nice with plenty of room for lots of food. Spacious living room, tv had everything and wood burning fireplace was very cozy. Exactly what we were looking for. Very peaceful but also so close to Ephraim and Sister Bay and a short drive to Egg Harbor. Great host as well!! Very helpful and informative about the property.

The perfect spot!

This spot was perfect in so many ways. It was centrally located to all the things we love to see and do in Door County. It was quiet and peaceful, with no major traffic or crowd disturbances, just the deer passing by on occasion. It had all the amenities we needed for family breakfasts and dinners together, and provided separate spaces for each contingent of our family (grandparents, parents and children) to have a relaxing and private retreat from each other when necessary. We look forward to staying here again in the future!

Just a few flaws to an otherwise perfect rental

My husband and I stayed in this home with our toddler the week before the 4th of July. The house itself is perfect and the location is wonderful. It was super quiet yet also close to everything. The only two downsides to the home for us were the condition of the master bedroom mattress and the loudness of the hvac system. The master mattress felt really broken in. One side of the mattress in particular was so worn in that my husband was significantly lower down than the side of the mattress I was on. It was so uncomfortable that my husband and I ended up sleeping in another bedroom for the entire trip. The other large negative was the loudness of the hvac system. When the AC or heat turned on, it sounded like a large vacuum machine, which scared our toddler and kept waking him up until we finally set the systems to not turn on. We were lucky that the weather was perfect while we were there, but if we had needed to have AC on, I think we would have been pretty upset and we would have not gotten much sleep. The house itself is beautiful and very well appointed.

Lovely, light, airy, spacious cottage on a dead end road. Beds were very comfortable and all slept better than they do at home! A few issues but we found Janell very quick to respond and appreciated her efforts to make right. We found that there is no cell phone service for Tracfone and Verizon at the cottage and surrounding towns. Wifi was good at the cottage and enabled the email communication we needed. As other reviewers have mentioned, the front porch was a big hit for all! We had our medium sized dog with us and he enjoyed the large front and back yard and sitting on the porch with us. We went to a number of places to eat and found we could take him with us, as long as there was outside seating. We were disappointed that dogs were not allowed on any of the 'beaches', which we can understand from a hygiene point of view, but we wanted to see what his reaction would be when he tried something deeper than a puddle for the first time! We liked eating at Shipwrecked in Egg Harbor, The Ice Cream Factory in Sister Bay, The Vikings Bar and Grill for a 'fish boil' in Ellison Bay, (don't rely on times and days given by the tourist information, call The Vikings Bar and Grill instead), Al Johnson's Swedish Restaurant (they have the goats grazing on the roof) in Sister Bay. Visited Pennisular State Park and played miniature golf at the challenging Red Putter. Thoroughly enjoyed the musical 'Lumberjacks in Love' performed by the Northern Sky Theater, although we were too late in the season for their outdoor performances. We saw it at Door County Auditorium in Fish Creek. We recommend the middle rows of seats, from row 3 back, if any left, or middle of the left side looking at the stage. On our last night we arrived back at the cottage to see a doe and her two young fawns in the back yard! The weekend of Labor Day saw Sister Bay teeming with people for Marina Fest, by the Monday most folk had left! Piggly Wiggly in Sister Bay is the nearest grocery store, a few minutes drive away. There is also a Shopko.
