The Playhouse is a three-bed, two-bath located in Pacific City, Oregon, and truly a beach Playhouse! Featuring a large cedar deck with full Southwest exposure for barbecuing, relaxation, and beautiful views of rolling hills of dune-grass. The home is also adorned with a spacious living room, wood-burning fireplace, unique decor, flat-screen TVs, and a fully stocked kitchen. This rental is complete with access to bikes as well as unique beach access via a unique wooden boardwalk. Come see what adventures await you at the Playhouse!

Please note that boats, trailers, and RVs are unfortunately not permitted.

Great location!

Perfect for getaway with our dogs! Two minute walk to the beach and 5 minute walk to shops and restaurants. Great walking paths too.

Great stay! Extremely clean and well-kept property, perfect for two couples and dogs! Community has enjoyable walking paths and beach access. Steep slope to get down to the ocean so those with mobility challenges may want to stay elsewhere or access the beach another way.

Nice place for families

We enjoyed our stay here except the location on Kiwanda Drive. It's a very busy road. Lots of room to spread out and the loft was great for our 5 year old and the 3 bathrooms were great!

Pacific City play house

This was just a quick getaway from the Willamette Valley that we booked at the last minute. This was a unique property with plenty of space and amenities. Very clean and inviting. 😊

Great Location!

We really enjoyed our stay! The walking paths through the neighborhood worked out great for our young kids and our dog. The house was cozy and casual and the beds and bathrooms were nice and clean. When we climbed the boardwalk path up to the dune our kids both exclaimed "wow!" Proximity to the beach is fantastic, though the climb back up the dune is a little steep. We packed our youngest as we went back up but our 7 year old had no problems. Easy access to Lincoln City and Tillamook for day trips too.

Wonderful beach retreat

This was a perfect house for our crew. All the space and amenities we needed for a quick beach retreat. Loved the plethora of towels both for the beach and the house! Boys enjoyed the bikes and used them to explore the nearby areas.

Our stay was great. The property was exactly as listed and the perfect place for our stay in Pacific City. There were lots of fluffy bath towels and plenty of kitchen items. Very quiet neighborhood. I would definitely stay here again.

Wonderful

We enjoyed our stay here with our new dog Cody. The house was as described. We liked the individual room heating system, since we all like different temperatures. The wood fireplace was very enjoyable. Loved our time in Pacific City.

Great location, Great bedrooms

The property was nice and in such a good location. There is a short pathway to the beach right behind the house. Dining table is huge and seats as many as the house fits, but the living room could use an extra chair or two to comfortably seat the amount of guests that are allowed to stay. There was only one kitchen towel, but there were tons of nice bathroom towels. We loved that there was laundry available. Our main complaint would have to be that the bunk room smelled of animal pee a bit and the blind was broken and unable to be put up or down in that room. Also the lack of communication from the property manager was frustrating. I still have messages that weren't answered on the provided messaging system here. We had to find out who the property management company was to be able to call them and get any information regarding check in the day before our stay because none had been communicated prior.

Great House, Refrigerator needs replaced.

The refrigerator would not cool things down below 40 degrees, even when adjusted to lowest setting. Suggest replacing the unit. We were very pleased with all else. Best regards.

So many of the homes have tiny decks - this one is large with picnic table, benches, and chairs. Plus it gets the afternoon sun!! Although there are no other homes btwn you and the beach, the large sand dune protects from the wind. Beach access is only a couple houses away. The home is roomy - we could spread out. Some at the table, some at the bar, some in the living room - yet all in the same conversations. We will rent here again!

Great one level house!

We enjoyed the layout and location of The Playhouse! The kitchen was well equipped and had all we needed. The large dining table inside and picnic table and benches outside were wonderful! The only drawback (and not a huge issue at all) is that the decor/furnishings of the house were a bit dated. The blinds in the bedrooms were too light ... as soon as it became daylight, people were awake. (So, bring your own blackout blinds if light sensitive!) Although we didn't use them extensively, a short walk to local restaurants and small grocery store is a bonus. A short walk to the beach, but beware ... the dune that separates the houses from the beach is a bit of a climb coming back up! We hope to be able to return in the future ... after COVID-19 so we can enjoy the local amenities!
