Wonderful cabin

We had a wonderful stay at this cabin. The house is spacious with ample seating and amenities. The basement makes for a nice lounge for the group and a bedroom that is dark enough for those light sleepers. The property is private enough, it is shared with another house but we never had any issues or concerns about that and the hot tub is tucked away so no one is watching over you. Truly enjoyed our stay and look forward to coming back again!

Amazing house!

We had such a wonderful time at Nathan & Kara's place. Everything was extremely clean and clearly labeled and just as described in the pictures and information. Any questions were answered right away and the communication was superb. We loved the hot tub, game room and fire pit. Welastimemories

Cleanest house

This is the cleanest house there is out there for rental. I have rented a lot of houses and they have never been as clean as this one. Even the coffee makers are sparkling-clean. Description is super accurate. This house is totally worth your money. Communication with host is fast and easy. I cannot say one negative thing about this house.

Clean and lovely home!

This house is so cute, comfortable, and great for kids! My little one was a bit young to play in the playhouse by herself but she loved the tire swing and the big Connect 4 game downstairs (the downstairs would be VERY appreciate by older kids). Nate and Kara are very thoughtful hosts, everything was very clean. The kitchen is well stocked and it’s easy to find any items you need. Having kids plates/cups/etc was actually so much more helpful than I even realized it would be. The town of Hawley is cute and there are a lot of good places to eat. We went to the zoo (Paws & Claws) and did a boat tour on the lake. I often describe myself as “not a lake person” but I really liked it here and we’re talking about returning next summer. I would HIGHLY recommend this home for your stay in/nearby Hawley!

Excellent!!

First and foremost, to the host Nathan and Kara, we appreciate having two hosts that were attentive, had very clear instructions and responded whenever we needed them and in a timely manner. As for the house, everything was PERFECT! Beautifully decorated and thought out. We fell in love with the interior designs, colors and decor. Everything was labeled and easily assesible and had everything you can think of available for use. The game room is huge and filled with games, perfect for music and game night. It’s where we spent most of our time. The jacuzzi was great, the water was the exact temparature we wanted especially during this season. We also used the grill which was in great shape as well. Overall we loved this rental and will definitely return in the future. I recommend everyone reading and interested, to rent thus property. You won’t regret it! Nathan and Kara, thanks again for everything.

Amazing hosts and great stay!

My husband and I needed a little getaway with our 16 month old and this was perfect for us. Close to a ton of dining, the kiddo loved the basement space and the playhouse outside! We got to enjoy the hot tub after the little one got to bed and it was a really relaxing experience. The only nit picky pieces of feedback that I would provide would be about the hot tub service guy that showed up after 9 pm. I get that needs to be done but a heads up to the guest would have been great and normal business hours would have been even better. Also I have a feeling that the cleaning folks may be using something to bring shine to some of the hardwood furniture/cabinets which is making the hardwood flooring in the main living space (kitchen/dining room) VERY SLIPPERY. I noticed the high gloss floors when I arrived so was mainly sticking to barefoot walking around and the ONE time i had socks on after just getting back from dinner my kiddo slipped on the floor which caused me to rush to see if he was ok and I 100% fell flat. I am not normally a particularly clumsy person so I was really taken aback by this. Luckily was not hurt too badly, but just wasnt ideal becauae I'm still feeling the fall a few days later. Other than these two things the stay was truly amazing and Nathan and Kara really know how to run an amazing home away from home! Would 10/10 recommend and would consider staying again in the future.

By day, Nathan runs a design-build remodeling company while Kara enjoys home-schooling our two kiddos. By night, we are often spending time with a small group of friends from our church. We are well-traveled VRBO guests. We know what a host should do to create a comfortable guest experience.

Darum fiel die Entscheidung auf diese Unterkunft

We fell in love with the setting of this home. Kara loves history and learning that the home and property was previously the home of a stone mason. We envisioned how charming the property would be once lite up at night to highlight the charming natural stone features including stone walkways, two arched stone bridges & stone walls.

Although the property needed a lot of to improve the overall layout of the home so that it would be able to handle larger groups, we were confident the end result would be fantastic. We were so pleased to finish up the renovations after touching every area of the home.

You will find the home perfectly suites large groups by giving plenty of space to spread out and not be on-top of each other. The two separate living rooms consisting of a large hang-out room and a secondary game room allow for the kids to be in one area while the adults stay in another.

Lastly, we made a last minute decision to add a 3rd full bathroom giving the home 2 master suites that have their own private bathroom.

In the end we are so excited to now be sharing this with YOU. Enjoy have a wonderful time - now go create some memories!!!

The park-like setting in the back yard of the property is one-of-a kind. You will find an arched stone bridge and a beautiful hand-laid stone wall that surrounds the property. In the yard you will find a super fun and charming playhouse perfect to let kid’s imaginations run wild in the charming, whimsical playhouse that includes a “secret trap door,” deck, slide, and climbing wall.

The overall layout of the property was specifically created with large groups in mind giving plenty of spaces to spread out.
