Das Haus befindet sich nur 20 Minuten von Cedar Point, 2 tritt aus Kalahari Wasserpark und eine Minute zu Fuß zu den schönsten Sandstrand am Lake Erie. Urige historischen Innenstadt von Vermilion ist nur wenige Minuten entfernt.

Das Haus hat vier Schlafzimmer und bietet Platz für bis zu 12 Personen bequem: das erste und zweite Schlafzimmer haben jeweils ein Queen / Doppelbett; das dritte Schlafzimmer verfügt über zwei Etagenbetten (4 Betten); das vierte Schlafzimmer hat ein Queen / Doppelbett und ein Etagenbett. Wir stellen die Bettwäsche für die Betten und die Badetücher.

Der Hinterhof hat einen großen gestanzten Terrasse, eine private geschlossene Außendusche und großen eingezäunten Grundstück. Viel Privatsphäre und Raum!

This home was great and i highly recommend it, to anyone looking for affordable weekend getaway. The home owner was very sweet, even sent a delivery for smores the night we was wanting to have a fire at the beach. Great sunsets and easy Cedar Point access

The location is great and convenient to Sandusky. A very short walk to a great private beach. The house was very clean and had lots of room. The neighborhood was very quiet and everyone we met was friendly.

Great stay

Wonderful stay! Very clean large house with enough room for everybody. I traveled with my family and my brothers family to visit Cedar Point. It was about a 25 minute drive to the park. The beach was a just two minute walk away. Everything was great!

Home away from home

The home comfortably accommodated 4 adults and 4 teenagers. The kitchen had everything we needed to prepare meals. The back yard/patio was great space. The beach was close and fun. The entire region was beautiful.

Labor day weekend

We initially rented the house thinking it was the house my husband lived in when he was little. Turns out the actual house was a couple doors down. The house is adorable, and was super clean. Jennifer was so easy to get a hold of and was absolutely amazing. There were also so many suggestions for restaurants and things to do that we jadnt tried before. It was so jard to leave to come home

Nice place , but not thrilled with check out duties

Nice place. It accommodated everyone well and had plenty of room. Some of it needs a little updating (some outlets didn't work and the stovetop only half worked). But the check out expectations were a little much. To pay a cleaning fee and then have to do more than just picking up after ourselves was not expected.

Check in was easy, host was very helpful. I am concerned about the black mold/mildew in the vents of the window air conditioners, the 2-prong broken outlet in the first bedroom, and the floor in the upstairs hallway where wood is missing, but the nail is there and caught and ripped my friend’s son’s sock. It could’ve easily been an injured foot. The pillows were very uncomfortable and flat with stains on them. And, honestly, having to clean the whole house top to bottom with bed linens and towels washed, folded, and put away was very frustrating. I missed my 9 year old daughter’s softball game because I had to clean the house before 11:00 am. Most places ask you to at least start a load of wash, start the dishwasher (in this case everything had to be hand washed), and take out the trash.

Thank you Amanda for your review. We take pride in our home and are always responsive to comments. The pillows are replaced at the end of every season- you are our 2nd to last guests so unfortunately one visit away from fresh pillows. The “mold” on the AC units is dust and not worrisome but we have asked our cleaning service to clean thoroughly. Other items will be handled by handyman- we weren’t aware of either but now that we are aware will of course take care of it. The value of 12 people being about to stay at our home for under $300/night is tremendous and of course we want it to be perfect but can only make improvements when told of things! Thank you!

Attentive service, great neighborhood

When we arrived ir had been a very hot day. I couldn’t get the a/c working in my room—it turns out it was q combination of not being able to get it set right and also just taking time to work in the heat. But I was very Impressed that the owner had someone out to check the a/c and wifi first thing the next morning! That was very kind. This is set in a nice neighborhood, vey close to the beach, and also a convenient drive to the freeway. Try the amAngry Bull restaurant too.

Perfect Getaway!

We booked this home for a girls trip for 6 of us and it was perfect! I just want to go back, NOW! The owner is incredibly kind and responsive. We were blessed to run into her on the beach! The house had EVERYTHING we needed. The pictures on VRBO do NOT do it justice! In person it’s so much more beautiful. So much space. You can request more pics from the owner. So close to the beach. All of us ladies have a new obsession for beach glass 😍 None of us had ever been to Lake Erie so we did not know what to expect. The neighborhood is quiet and beautiful. The neighbors, and all of the locals, were incredibly kind and welcoming. We seriously could not have asked for a better trip and we can’t wait to bring our families next time and book the same house again!!!!! Thank you so much Jennifer, for everything!!!

Charming stay!

We enjoyed the property and the area. An older lakefront community, very friendly folks and easy access to the beach, to Cedar Point, and to the lovely town of Vermilion. Giant Eagle, 10 mins away, was a good place to stock up on groceries. We tried Ghost Tree brewing in Amherst, 20 mins away. Good brews! Service slow and food not great, but would go back for just the beer next time. Had so much fun shopping in Vermillion on Main St. Tails of Vermillion was a favorite spot to get a new cat toy and Life is Good t-shirts… personalized to say “Vermilion, OH”! And the scenic lighthouse and cute public beach are just a few blocks from there, too. We enjoyed chatting w a volunteer at the small concession and art building at the beach. It is a charming town and easy to see why people love visiting or retiring there! Jennifer was responsive if we needed anything. We simply brought our own sheets and towels, including kitchen towels, for our group of 8, and avoided needing to do several loads of last minute laundry that way. There weren’t a lot of outlets in the bedrooms to charge phones, use a CPAP machine, but we made it work. One reviewer said there are 5 bedrooms and it’s true. There’s an extra room upstairs with a futon couch and a TV. It’s set up as an extra space for the kids to gather upstairs. We were pleased that tennis rackets/balls and a bags game and beach chairs were all included in the home, and lots more! Some in our party appreciated the MLB Network on tv.

Needs updating; fees need to be posted up front

We were hoping to really enjoy this stay. And while we loved the area- the house leaves a lot to be desired. For starters we were locked out of the house on more than one occasion because “both the front and back door screen door latches must have been broken by the previous tenant.” We had to yank the door forcefully until it finally came opened. The house is very old- there is only about 1 outlet per room. The doors do not close completely or stick shut when they do. The full size bed in the first bedroom is nothing more than two old mattresses on top of each other. There is no boxspring and the top mattress is bigger than the bottom so you feel like you might roll right off if you move to far to the edge. In the other bedroom it feels like you are sleeping directly on a boxspring without a mattress, coils poking whenever you turn. While the property manager was quick to answer- her responses were lackluster. When we booked and were given prices there was a cleaning fee. We gladly agreed thinking that there would actually be a cleaning fee. A couple of days before the arrival we received an email that explained we would need to wash linens and towels- unexpected but we were okay with it. However when actually staying it was made clear thru literature on the property that if the tenant does not clean to a certain standard then they would be charged for an additional cleaning fee. Over the property was charming- but lacking.

We are sorry to read this review. Yes, the home is old - it’s a century home and that’s what adds to its charm. We have tried to maintain that charm but make it quaint and comfortable. We rely on our guests to tell us what needs to be done to improve the home and based on this review replaced the bed referenced. As for the broken door handles our cleaning crew didn’t report the problem so we were unaware of it until told by this guest - an easy fix once they checked out as we didn’t want to disturb them with a contractor appointment during their stay. As for the house rules- including washing sheets, everything is in the contract provided when the reservation is made. We take pride in our home and are sorry about this guests’ experience.

Even though the weather wasn’t perfect, there was still plenty do do. The house had plenty of games and everyone had fun playing cards at the poker table. There is also great places to visit…. Vermilion, Marblead. Also, the younger folks were able to search the beach for treasures!

Quiet Location

The house is located in a quiet area within walking distance to a private beach. The backyard has a privacy fence and we enjoyed spending time out there when we weren’t at the beach. The kitchen had what we needed to make quick basic meals. We had to put the linens on the beds when we arrived and then put the soiled linens in the wash when we checked out but that was outlined in the rental agreement. There’s a very active train track nearby so something to keep in mind if traveling with light sleepers or children. We scheduled this trip last minute and Jennifer was very accommodating for an early checkin and late checkout.

Great stay!

Jennifer was a wonderful host! Very responsive and even willing to work with our group when a health issue arose prior to the booking. The house was exactly as advertised, only a couple minutes walk to the beach, and right across from tennis and basketball courts. My family and I enjoyed our stay immensely.

Great property, very accommodating, but . . .

Finding flaws with the property or location would be challenging - very enjoyable. My sole complaint is with the policy of laundering bedding linens under threat of additional cleaning fees. Never have I encountered such a bizarre demand before. Not only is it uncomfortable having your sleeping cleanliness dependent on the prior guests, with 11 people in our party is it expected to set alarm clocks to wash & fold bedding to meet the 11 a.m. checkout?

Beautiful house!!

Perfect house for a girls weekend! This adorable cottage was well stocked and had plenty of room for all of us. The decor is warm and welcoming and the miti koozies were a perfect gift from the landlords for our weekend. Fire pit and fenced in yard was great for late night fun. The house was impeccable clean!! We will be back!
