Our property is designed to offer comfortable, budget-friendly lodging, and we strive to provide amenities that are competitive for the price point. Standard cleaning supplies, including kitchen essentials, are typically provided, and our team is always available to promptly address any missing items had we been notified during your stay. That said, we do want to clarify that there were several significant violations of our house rules during your visit. Pets were allowed on furniture and bedding, which is explicitly prohibited. As a result, the condition of the linens required extensive additional cleaning, and some items were damaged beyond recovery due to excessive pet hair. These issues led to additional cleaning costs. We always encourage guests to reach out during their stay so we can resolve concerns in real time. We remain committed to providing a positive experience for all guests and maintaining the quality and cleanliness of the property.

We were transitioning and stayed a couple of weeks at this basement rental. The unit was comfortable and well equipped. We cooked a number of meals and enjoyed our time there. I loved the neighborhood and spent time walking around the Gas Works park. The host was very gracious and accommodating. He responded quickly and addressed all our requests. We would definitely stay again.

The place was very spacious (comfortable beds!), nicely finished, in an architecturely beautiful house (neighborhood) with a unique view of the Seattle skyline that never disappointed every time we returned!! The location was absolutely perfect and very very convenient to get to everything we needed, from the University of Washington to any of the downtown Seattle locations and ferries, and even my unexpected favorite quick stop at Gas Works Park at the bottom of the hill . Absolutely Loved our stay here and would highly recommend!!!

Nitin booked a room for his friends and they decided not to checkout without getting my permission to stay longer. The checkout time was at 11 and they asked to stay till 2pm at 11:50am. My cleaner waited 40 min outside before they let them in. I will never host these guests again.

Good place to stay. Not too far from anything you would want to do in Seattle. Ravi is very good at communicating. Four of us were comfortable staying there. I will look for this rental again when I need to go back to Seattle.

Great location, great owner

We had two couples staying at the place and it was a big hit. We were visiting relatives in the Wallingford neighborhood and this location is central to everything. It made getting around very convenient. The apartment is well appointed and very clean and the owner was available at all times during our stay. We found the apartment quiet and cozy, just what we were looking for. We'll definitely be staying here again on our next visit.

Nice basement suite

This was a well kitted out basement suite not far from UW and Gasworks park. The kitchen was well equipped and the bedrooms large, both with desks as in the photos. A very comfortable living room with an enormous flat screen TV. There was construction of a coach house in the back yard that contributed to noise (this was in August 2025). Both bedrooms were equipped with airconditioning. This was fantastic, although the units were a bit noisy. Overall this was a great place to stay.

Complete dump and fraudulent listing!

Given incorrect address. Address is actually the basement. Code wouldn't open door. Door handle fell off in my hand. Had to navigate around overflowing trash cans in the dark. Listing never mentions there is a full time family living above or that this is a basement unit. Furniture in pics is either middingbor completely trashed. Had a homeless guy asking us for change while trying to unpack. Ended up leaving and booking a hotel.

The guest was extremely rude and damaged the property. First she claimed that the address was wrong but somehow she found the right apartment. I sent her step by step instructions on how to unlock the lock but she couldn't follow the simple instructions and instead tried to break in and end up breaking the door handle. I sent the video of her damaging the door to VRBO. The apartment has 6 sources of heat and she complained that there was no heat in the apartment. The cleaners left 30 minute prior to the guest's arrival and she claimed that the apartment was dirty. Guest arrived during the daylight and there was no overflowing garbage, so I am not sure what she is referring to about navigating around overflowing trash, again the video was sent to VRBO proving it. Everything to her was trash, but I have had over 100 guests stayed at the apartment and no one had thought of furniture being trashed. The last comment is very absurd to me and funny at the same time, there was no homeless guy on private property asking her for change, that's just ridiculous. Apparently, the guest thought that the apartment meant a standalone structure and she should have gotten a whole house which is 6 beds and 4 bathrooms for $200 a night. The listing clearly says 2 bed 1 bath apartment, but she didn't want anyone else to be in another part of the building. I tried multiple times to resolve her issues but instead of listening, she decided to check out and wrote a false review.

Not a pleasant stay

I was unable to connect to the WiFi on arrival. Centurylink indicated that the bill was overdue. Host didn’t respond to my message until the following day because he was out of the country. He wouldn’t accept what I was telling him until he contacted the provider. Then the wifi connected. I had also asked him on arrival about parking in the driveway. His checkin instructions said there was plenty of on street parking but it didn’t say we couldn’t park in the driveway. He indicated that if I parked in the driveway I would be ticketed by the police. I didn’t appreciate the threat. I was merely trying to clarify. On street parking was not always easy to find. His checkin instructions were sparse. There was nothing in the unit to explain how to operate the TV, heat, AC units, what to recycle, etc. This would have been helpful. There were no checkout instructions. The bidet listed as an amenity is a hose attached to the outside of the toilet and a water pipe coming in through the wall. The apartment is listed as sleeps 4, but there are only 2 chairs in front of the TV. The bedroom by the kitchen is impacted by the noise of the refrigerator motor that runs virtually all night long. The unit is located in a lovely part of Seattle, but unfortunately, I cannot recommend this basement apartment.

Thanks for such a horrible review because you have decided to not read the instructions and attack me when I only tried to help. I apologized at least 5 times even though it wasnt even my fault. Regarding the parking, it was clearly stated in the instructions that i sent and on VRBO and i highlighted it for you but you kept being rude and called VRBO to complaint about it. My apologies for not leaving instructions on how to turn on the TV, AC and general appliances. I have never ever had a complaint about any of the issues you have mentioned. There are some people that one can never satisfy and you seem to be one of them. Hope you can find better accommodation next time.

The host was fine, and I liked the amenities and the location. There were problems. We had waste water in bedroom #1 on two separate occasions, and a plumber on the premises 3 times. I couldn't watch a movie on his HULU membership without buffering, and my devices all worked slow at no at all. It is basement unit. So, sometimes that affects signal. I left my phone on T-Mobile when I was there. I've read this hosts rebuttals to ratings that were low, and I fully expect him to deny most of my story, but this is what really happened. When he's home the family stays right above you in the house. They came home for like 4 days, and when I called him on Saturday to tell him we had water in the bedroom, he was out of the country already. House is nice and clean. I will give him that.
