Wir sind zwei Blocks nördlich des Sunset Junction Cafés, Geschäfte, Restaurants, Musikveranstaltungen und Weinstuben. Wenn Sie lieber bleiben in, es ist genauso einfach zu in der Hütte kochen und verbringen gemütliche morgens auf der Terrasse.

Amazing little cottage!

My partner and I stayed at this property for a month after first moving to Los Angeles and it was a perfect space for us to find our feet and get set up. The neighbourhood is amazing with plenty of great cafes, bars, and restaurants but still maintaining a peaceful, local feel. The outside space at the property is a real bonus and we ended up using this every day to work remotely or just enjoy meals etc. Tim was a great landlord and was on hand whenever needed to provide information or help with small fixes etc. Would recommend this property to anyone.

Perfect stay

My wife and I came out to LA for a few months and the cottage was a perfectly quaint size for us two. We stayed 5 weeks, while both working remotely. The outdoor patio is a great addition to give you private, outdoor space for working or lounging. The cottage has everything you need and Tim is a wonderful host. Very communicative, helpful and nice. Silver lake is a GREAT neighborhood. Lots of local restaurants, cafes, and bars. Great for running/walking outdoors with beautiful views, challenging hills (if you want) and a nice breeze. This is a great property.

We had a wonderful stay in this very sweet cottage. It has everything one needs. Silver Lake is a great neighborhood and a short walk away which is very unusual in LA! Tim is a very responsive and helpful host who made our experience even better. We highly recommend the cottage.

Comfortable, great location, and responsive owners

My stay at the cottage in Silverlake got off to a bumpy start--it turned out that we had been sent access instructions for the wrong unit (there are several rentals on the property). It was nearly midnight when we checked in, and we went into a larger upstairs unit, rather than the cottage, to find that it hadn't been cleaned. I texted Tim and he responded immediately, despite the late hour. I sent him pictures, but given how late it was, neither of us noticed that it was the wrong unit until the next morning. But Tim told us where to find clean sheets and offered to refund one night's stay. The next morning I talked with him again and we sorted out what had happened; we then moved downstairs to the cottage for the second night of our stay. Tim was gracious, helpful, and responsive throughout, and I can now say that both units are very nice and comfortable, and the Silverlake location is great. We also really appreciated the thoughtful touches--Keurig coffee makers with instructions posted to them, soap and bath products in the bathrooms, comfortable bedding, and well stocked kitchens. I would definitely stay there again, and now I know about a nice two-bedroom unit up the stairs that would be a great option for a larger group.

Cool place with a 1950's theme

My wife and I spent three wonderful days at this very nice cottage. It was a good size for us and a perfect location. We were in L. A. to visit our grandson who is currently being treated at the Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles. The cottage is less than a mile away from the hospital, so we were able to walk there each day. It is located on the side of a hill and so to get there you have to walk down a staircase that covers two stories. If you can make that trip, the experience is well worth the climb. The cottage itself is indeed “adorable”. Robin and Tim have been able to preserve a 1950’s feel, yet it has been thoroughly updated inside. The bathroom and kitchen are in great shape and have everything you need. Two of the three nights we fixed dinner at the cottage. One night we ate outside on the small patio in front of the cottage. Very nice experience. Robin and Tim are great hosts. During our stay both of them went out of their way to come by and check in on us to make sure we were comfortable in their place. Robin was particularly helpful setting up the reservation and provided useful information about the area and how to get there. We would certainly stay there again and would recommend it to anyone, especially those visiting the Children’s Hospital and the Kaiser Hospital located nearby.

Silver Lake oasis

Charming cottage, thoughtfully appointed everything you could need was there and where you would expect it to be. I found Robyn and Tim responsive, informative and upfront. We had our dogs in tow and Tim mentioned that the neighbors had dogs and to be aware of a little between the fence communication which was nice to know what we were getting into. As it turned out not a issue but I appreciated them being up front about the house. We had a perfect weekend enjoying on meals on the patio and thou the homes in the area are all very close together it was private. The landscaping and lay out really made it feel like a oasis all our own. Look forward to our next visit.

I absolutely LOVE The Cottage at Silver Lake. I come every time in LA. Accommodations are great. I feel at home and it is cozy and roomy. Silver Lake is hip and fun with great places to eat and drink. And Robin and Tim are so nice and helpful. Oh, and very affordable!

I could live here!

Make yourself at home in this cottage...it's easy to do. You will wish it was yours. It is clearly loved by the owners who must want you to love it just as much. The location allows for easy access to the neighborhood treasures of Silverlake and all of LA. You can walk to bars, cafés, restaurants, shops , and the hillside streets that host some of LA's architectural treats. It's easy to park on the street. The patio is idyllic - you will want to relax in its shady nook and spend an hour or two with some wine, cheese, and perhaps, a book or your best friend or both. The cottage has everything you need- a complete kitchen equipped for fixing a snack or a feast. The linens, toiletries, and electronics are on par with any fine hotel. Select the cottage for a weekend, a week,or a month or longer...you will be in no rush to leave but will long to return . I did just that.

charming cottage, but barking dogs a real problem

This cottage is charming and clean. It is well kept and has a nice patio and landscaping. The stairs to and from the cottage are very steep. There is a small kitchen, no dishwasher, a full size bed, sofa bed in the living room. Bathroom is in the bedroom. The major problem with our visit was barking dogs behind the property. They barked all night and during the day while we were there. Not sure if it is an ongoing problem, but for us it was..not much sleep.

It is tremendously helpful to have thorough and honest reviews. If a guest contacts us during their stay to ask for help, they will always receive an immediate in-person response and a remedy to the situation, even if it means alternative lodging. In this case, we were not alerted to the issue until after the guests' departure, but upon receiving the review, we immediately contacted our neighbor and found they had an unusual circumstance with their dogs during the nights of our guests' stay. We then spent every night at the cottage for a week to monitor the situation, and were relieved to find it peaceful, comfortable, and quiet. For our guest who had an unpleasant stay, we have apologized and offered a discounted rate at another property nearby for future visits to LA.

Lovely Place, perfect hosts

We can highly recommend this lovely place to anyone who is looking for a quite and private place in Los Angeles. We stayed in Silverlake cottage for one week with our little daughter and felt home just from the first moment.Shops, Cafès, supermarkets - everything you need is nearby, the neighbourhood is quite and beautiful, the cottage is like an oasis and we especially liked the way the place is furnished, we missed nothing. It's just the opposite of an anonymous hotel. When we arrived after a long and exhausting flight Robin and Tim welcomed us like friends, they even provided nice food. More than that they helped us with any question we had. They are perfect hosts and they made it easy for us to feel comfortable.

Cottage is clean, cute, comfortable and quaint. Owner is very nice and accomodating to work with. My one surprise (not the owner's fault) was the 14% tax. I understand the need for taxes, but 14%! Way too much!

An Oasis in Silverlake

This cottage is wonderful, I had the chance to stay here while I was getting settled with school. Its perfect for those who don't have access to transportation. The owners are also great and make the stay wonderful, especially Robin who was wonderful and helpful. I will be recommending this cottage to family during the holidays. If your looking for somewhere safe to stay in LA, close to main attractions this the place for you. You wont find people as kind and good hearted to rent from than the owners of this property.

My wife, son and I stayed nearly two weeks at this adorable cottage and had a wonderful time. The cottage was perfect for us. It was clean and very nicely decorated. We made full use of the kitchen. The front patio was our favorite as it was very private and set away from the city streets. We would not hesitate to stay here again. Perhaps one day we just may!

Charming and convenient place to stay

My parents stayed at the cottage for 2 weeks while visiting me in LA. It was perfect for their needs, clean, well equipped and conveniently located. They could sit out on the patio or walk down to local cafe's and shops. They would definitely stay again.

We began restoring buildings in Silverlake in 1997, but it's been a lifelong passion. Tim has a background in set decorating and woodworking. Robin has a background in Art Direction and loves gardening. We use salvaged/eco-friendly building materials, antique furnishings, and green cleaning products whenever possible.
We have many years of experience as landlords and hosts, and are known for being responsive, service-minded, and reasonable with pricing and management.

Darum fiel die Entscheidung auf diese Unterkunft

Simply put, this cottage is perfectly situated. We love the way the light fills the living room in the afternoon, the privacy that comes with having your own little mini-house with a convenience of being just a couple of blocks away from outstanding restaurants (Forage, Barbrix, Cafe Stella, Cru), and a short drive to Hollywood, Disney Hall, Dodger Stadium or Griffith Park. Two side notes to mention: 1. The cottage is situated off the street, down a flight a stairs, and behind a building with long-term tenants (all very quiet). 2. Next door to the cottage is an AA treatment center, which means that there is the occasional sound of applause at the end of a meeting.

When we stay at the cottage, we enjoy a quick morning run on the tree-lined stair streets nearby and going to the Farmer's Market on Saturdays. Silver Lake, Los Feliz, and Downtown are all close by. It's a convenient location for work, meeting friends, going to concerts, and as a home base when we take our kids to museums, the Observatory, and the Zoo.
