Welcome to "The Carolmet House"! This is such a peaceful, lovely space. While central to everything in the area, it is on a quiet dead-end street so it feels like you are off the beaten path, while still being close to everything convenient you need. We are 9 mi. from the Kennedy Bridge, 5 mi from the Lewis and Clark Bridge, and 10 mi to d/tLouisville.
THE SPACE
The Carolmet House features 3 bedrooms and 1 full bathroom, plus a spacious, fully equipped kitchen in the center of the home. The space has been newly renovated and is clean, fresh, and nicely decorated.
When you enter the front door you are greeted with a lovely, spacious living area with vaulted ceilings, a wrap-around comfortable couch that can sleep two, a large screen 55" Samsung TV, a dining area, and a sliding barn door opening to laundry with washer and dryer for your use.
No expense was spared in the beautiful kitchen with lots of countertop space, a large farmhouse sink, and plenty of cabinets for storage. We have all the basics you need for preparing meals. There is a stove, fridge, toaster oven, microwave, and air fryer.
Down the hallway, you will find a lovely bathroom with a deep tub and shower combo and soft towels.
The master bedroom boasts a huge king-sized bed with 50" Vizo Smart TV, while the other two bedrooms come equipped with queen beds, dressers, closet space and bedside tables. One bedroom has full length mirror sliding doors and 50" Vizo Smart TV and the third bedroom also has a 50" Vizo Smart TV. Don't worrry - beside each bed is an alarm clock and charging stations for your convenience. The large sleeper sofa is large enough to sleep two.
The backyard is fenced-in, a wonderful space for relaxing with your family. There is a small table and chairs on the back porch, along with a small charcoal grill for your enjoyment. But the highlight of the backyard is a beautiful cabana featuring a covered bed swing with a fan and electricity. There are also hammock hooks if you have a hammock you want to hang and relax.

➜ THE LOCATION
The home is central to everything you need in the area. While in the heart of the area, it is located on a dead-end, private street, with a privacy fenced backyard. We have wonderful neighbors on the street, most of whom have lived there for most of their adult lives.
This is an up-and-coming area with new construction bringing in new hotels, restaurants, medical facilities, shopping and dining, and more to the area. There is also a new park right down the street with a lake and walking trail.

Guests have access to the entire house, including the front porch, back porch, bed swing area, and private driveway. The detached garage and shed are off-limits.
Other things to note:
✔AGE: Minimum age of primary renter: 25. The primary renter must stay the entire time rented. We reserve the right to request a copy of your identification to verify your age.
✔ PETS: We allow 2 small dogs (35 lbs or less) with a non-refundable pet fee of $150, which will be invoiced separately. Please include pet details in your reservation request.
Undisclosed pets will be charged an additional $100 fee per day. Please note: The backyard is fenced with a privacy fence.
✔ OCCUPANCY: The occupancy limit for this property is 8 and any additional guest on the property may be vacated for trespassing. No unregistered guests are allowed unless prior arrangements are made. No parties or illegal activity is allowed on the premises. Locals must contact the host before booking. We reserve the right to require a signed contract after bookings are confirmed. Guests will have 24 hours to return the contract.
✔ NO SMOKING IS ALLOWED ANYWHERE INSIDE THE HOUSE. This includes e-cigs or anything that lets off smoke. A $250 fine will be charged to the credit card on file and a damage report will be submitted to Airbnb. Smoking is permitted outside as long as subs are discarded properly.
✔ CONTRACT: We reserve the right to request a signed contract after the reservation is confirmed. Guests will have 24 hours to return the contract in order to maintain the reservation.
✔ SECURITY: For your protection and ours, there is a security camera in place at the front door, to monitor the property (outside only).

The Carolmet House is a special place. It was home to my mother for many years, then she passed it to me when I was a single mother of 4 and needed a home for my family. After remarrying, Chris and I decided to keep the home and let others enjoy it as it is central to so many wonderful places in Kentuckiana!

The Carolmet House is very close to Louisville, Kentucky, located right off I265 in Jeffersonville. It is close to Six Flags, Churchill Downs, downtown Louisville, museums, and shopping, yet is on a dead-end street so it feels like you are off the beaten path while still being central to everything!
