A large apartment of 60 sq M area with 3.5m high ceiling in main room, located on the hill in the quiet, residential San Bernardino suburb, close to forest trails, approximately 3 Kilometres from the sea.
The apartment is furnished with hints of 1960s and 1970s retro.
The 20 sq M open plan upper level (mezzanine) has one double bed and one single bed and a bathroom with small shower, washbasin, toilet and bidet.
The lower level has an open plan area that serves as living room, dining area and kitchen, and has a 2nd bathroom with main large shower, toilet and washbasin.
The 3.5m high ceiling helps keep the apartment cool in summer.

Kitchen is equipped with a 2-plate induction hob, microwave oven and fridge. Floors tiled throughout.
Entrance from the parking via small, 4 Square meter shaded entrance porch, that is on the same level as the parking area.
One allocated parking space 10m from door.
Local bus service every 30 mins to Finale Ligure sea front and railway station (2.8Km). Bus stop 50m away and bus operates every half hour from 08:00 until 01:00, tickets cost 20 Euros for 20 tickets .
San Bernardino's hiking, climbing & mountain bike trails start only 100m away with access to climbing areas too..

Having rented the apartment from the previous owners on several occasions and enjoyed our stay so much we eventually persuaded Dan & Angie to sell us the apartment and all its fittings in Autumn 2022. Consequently most of the reviews shown here relate to the previous owners. The property and it its furnishings are mostly unchanged aside form some minor decorations, a new fridge and a new sofa bed.

We are aware that our guests might have concerns about hygiene, and we would like to highlight the measures taken below to re-assure you when making a reservation:
On top of our usual very high cleaning standard our cleaner will now pay extra attention to cleaning and sterilising all door handles and wiping down surfaces with alcohol-based steriliser between guest stays.
Our apartment has its own separate, private entrance and does not use any space or facilities that are shared with other apartments (except for the open-air parking area).
We use a coded key box to allow guests to access the apartment, meaning no direct contact is required with anyone on arrival or departure.

Zu Gast bei Sean Potts
I am a keen mountain biker and professional paragliding instructor living in the mountains of Chamonix Mont Blanc, France (around four hours drive from Finale). My partner is a ski & sailing instructor and she is also an experienced mountain biker. Finale is an ideal playground for us , we are busy working in the summer months but visit Finale during the rest of the year .

After years of visiting Finale , principally for mountain biking but also to enjoy the superb Mediterranean climate, we eventually took the plunge to purchase our own place in Finale region. We particularly appreciate the lofty perch in a peaceful and temperate setting that still allows easy & rapid access to the hustle & bustle of the seafront. The apartment is not always available as we will visit frequently - it is our second home that we are are happy to share and we hope that you will enjoy staying as much as we do.

We appreciate the relative calm that the apartment offers being away from the hustle & bustle of the seafront , albeit just a very short ,inexpensive bus ride away.
Each day can be an adventure in Finale, frequently starting with stunning sunrise view visible just a few metres from the apartment.
The hiking trails within a few hundred metres of the apartment are very varied, set on top of the hill they radiate out in many different directions, and are simply superb for mountain biking, hiking or trail running - it is very rare to encounter other people on them. Whilst many associate Finale with the beaches and seafront , the forested hillsides behind are a real treasure.
Car parking can be elusive & expensive in Finale so it is very convenient to have a designated parking with the apartment and the bus service makes town or the beach access easy & hassle free.
