This is exactly what it was described very relaxing house and property. It is a quiet little bay town with very little to do but relax and relax some more . One restaurant one general store On the water, beautiful bay views. Fishing and crabbing were fantastic.

What a cool and lovely property to stay at for our long weekend getaway! Karen was very communicative and had we needed anything I have no doubt that she would've responded right away. The original "bank" part of the house was very neat and historic. It was a little cooler and rainy while we were there but there were a lot of outdoor seating options which is always a huge win for us. With the house layout you could definitely accommodate a large-size family and still have some space and separation. The sunset off the dock was amazing as well as seeing large lit up ships in the bay. We spent a couple days exploring the Harriet Tubman Museum and historical sites and the Blackwater National Wildlife Refuge where we saw so many eagles! We took a drive to the end of Hoopers Island which was pretty wild as the waves were lapping up on the road. I would also recommend getting a bite to eat at Old Salty's which was a 4-minute walk from the house and had delicious food!

Old Bank is a very nice place to stay. Clean, comfortable and well stocked with amenities. This was the third time staying here and hope to return again.

My wife and I enjoyed a nice, relaxing long weekend at Old Bank. Neat house with amazing waterfront views and beautiful sunsets. The fish didn't cooperate with us, but it was still a very nice place to spend the weekend.We saw several turtles, included dung some big snapping turtles and a painted turtle crossing the road. Our group of 6 loved our stay at the old bank

This place is huge! It fit 6 adults very comfortably. And the view from the living room is beautiful! This is our 2nd time staying here and we will be back.

Great stay on Hoopers Island. Waterfront access and views were superb. House was comfortable, kitchen was very nice. Our only complaint was the water side bathroom had a very low toilet. We would stay again- best place we’ve stayed in the area. Check out Madhouse Oysters and Old Saltys on the island. Blackwater wildlife refuge, Harriet Tubman museum and Emily’s Produce nearby.

We loved it here!

My husband and I, plus 2 other couples stayed here for a long weekend. The place is bigger than it looks in photos, and it was perfect for us. It’s well equipped with everything you need, the location is great, and the view from the living room bay window and from the fire pit area is breathtaking! We would def recommend this place.

We had a wonderful vacation! The Old Bank was unique and special. Plenty of room and comfortable furniture and lots of bright sunshine! We loved swimming, fishing, and crabbing! Very quiet and relaxing! 😊

Great House with a great view

The house was beautiful and steps away from everything. We brought our boat and kept it at the dock. Communication in advance and during our stay was outstanding. The house had everything we needed and more!

Ironman weekend

Stayed at this house during the Ironman weekend. It’s located about 30 minutes from Cambridge. The house is comfortable, easy to access and with a nice view. The host were very communicative and helpful during my stay.

Hidden gem on the Chesapeake

This was a lovely home in a setting that was just right for this low key family of 3. Probably the nicest and most well equipped rental home we've ever stayed at. Sunsets off the dock are amazing. Spent a week relaxing and swimming. Owner easy to contact and helpful. Would love to visit again one day. Highly recommend.

Wonderful Getaway in Hoopers Island

We are no strangers to Hoopers Island, and the Old Bank property provided a relaxing and enjoyable getaway. The house is clean, spacious, and comfortable. Sleeping on the sleep number beds was a treat, and looking out at the bay in the morning was a wonderful way to start the day. Awesome stay!

We loved our stay here! My husband was doing the Ironman in Cambridge and it was about 35 minutes to get into town and back, no traffic and enjoyable ride. The Old Bank has so much character, it felt homey, and was stocked with anything we would need! We enjoyed our morning coffee on the doc and the viewing from the living area was amazing. The neighborhood was quiet but everyone we ran into was so friendly, old Salty’s is just a little walk down the street for good food and more amazing views! The host was awesome and quick to respond if we needed anything. Would stay again!

Beautiful location on Chesapeake Bay

We enjoyed our stay at this beautiful location on the Chesapeake Bay. The house was large, comfortable and accommodating for our family of 4 that included 2 teenagers. We loved fishing off of the dock and watching the sunsets. Old Salty's Restaurant and Bar was within walking distance. The general store was perfect for picking up supplies and food. Definitely a birders paradise with Blackwater Nature Preserve nearby. We also learned that this area is close to the Underground Railroad.

Hooper Island in Old Bank

My wife and I really enjoyed our stay here. The house was nice and quiet, we enjoyed the water, pier and fire pit. The host was extremely helpful and responsive. We couldn't ask for anything more. Alot of history with this place, very unique home that we enjoyed. The area is great, the people are extremely friendly. Great little stores. Woolford's had really good french fries. The crab cakes, drinks and oysters at Old Saltys right next door was incredible. We can't recommend it all enough.
