Stay on the Ridge, Monterey Bay
Situated on California's Central Coast between Monterey and Santa Cruz, the architect designed home has an elevated position sitting on one of the highest ridges in North Monterey County. We have 4.5 acres of private land largely covered with Live Oaks and Manzanita trees.
The house overlooks Elkhorn Slough and the Pacific Ocean and is ideally situated for access to the Big Sur, Redwoods, San Francisco Bay Area and everything Monterey Bay has to offer.
The space
The house is bright and spacious with large windows for amazing views of Elkhorn Slough and the Pacific ocean.
The living room is large with 15ft high ceilings and plenty of seating around a big coffee table and open fire place. An ideal space for everyone to gather for socializing/games etc. direct access to outdoor kitchen and patio seating.
The dining room is open plan connected to the kitchen, snug and outdoor nook. The large dining table comfortably seats 8 people.
Kitchen is well equipped with 5 ring gas cooktop on central island with electric oven, dishwasher, microwave, refrigerator, espresso coffee machine.
Snug next to kitchen with new wood burning stove and sofa
Bedroom #1 is large with kingsize bed, sofa, walk-in closet, balcony and master bath with large tub, walk-in shower, double basin and enclosed toilet
Bedroom #2 has kingsize bed and closet
Bedroom #3 has two standard double beds and closet
Family bathroom has tub with shower, double basin and toilet
Half bath with basin and toilet
Laundry room with washer and dryer
For remote working there is free wifi (50mb up/down) and electric sit/stand desk
Garage provides parking for two cars
Outside kitchen, polished concrete with enough seating for 10 people. Basin with hot/cold water, drinks fridge, large Weber gas grill, ceramic grill (great for pizza)
Front patio with lounge seating
Outside nook accessed from dining room, covered by roof (by design), seating rug and coffee table
Gravel area to side (use for Bocce, Badminton etc.)
Back yard: green house, citrus and avocado trees. Steps up to balcony of master bedroom.
Guest access
House shares a long winding private driveway with two other homes, security gate where the driveway meets the road.
Plenty of space on driveway to park many cars as well as 2 car garage
Other things to note
The driveway is an attraction in itself, winding up from the valley road through a canopy of oak trees and running along the ridge with spectacular views of the Elkhorn Slough, the ocean and surrounding wilderness.
