Other things to note
Parking: The City of Big Bear limits parking to maximum of two vehicles for the home. No street parking is allowed in any residential neighborhood.
1. What is your dog policy?
Dogs are always welcomed. We have a sweet 70 pound baby ourselves so we understand how hard it is to find a Big Bear house that would allow bigger dogs. We do charge a $50 per pet fee as it takes longer to clean the house after our furry friends.
We are just asking you to help us protect the house from any accidents. Please use provided blankets on the furniture to keep it safe from the hair and dirt, pick up after your dog in the backyard, don’t allow excessive barking outside disturbing the neighbors (we have a lot of squirrels) or digging.
*Pets are required to be on a leash or kept in an enclosed area on the property at all times. Barking or other animal noise may result in noise complaints and penalties charged back to the guest.
2. Do you provide coffee, tea, paper towels?
Yes! You will find coffee, some tea assortment, sugar and creamers, a couple of paper towels, olive oil, salt, pepper, full rack of spices, hot sauces, filtered water in the fridge - a little bit of everything to start your vacation.
3. Do you have good Wi-Fi?
Yes! Our jobs are Wi-Fi dependent so we made sure to have fast Wi-Fi and a comfortable area to work. Speeds are at 250 MBPS.
4. Cabin on Sixth is in the woods with critters and snowy weather. By booking this unit, you accept all responsibility and liability for keeping you, your guests, and children safe.
5. There is NO smoking IN the home. (You can outside but please remove cigarette butts.) If you do choose to smoke inside or if the house smells of smoke from outside smoking, there will be a $500 charge for odor removal services.
6. No parties at the house or guests outside of those who have registered as guests. This rule is strictly enforced and your deposit will be forfeit for any violations of this rule.
7. Please report any damage.
8. If you use the appliances or cookware, please clean them before putting them away. Our cleaners charge a $35 fee on top of the existing fee if dishes are left out dirty. (All cleaning fee goes to cleaner)
9. Please keep outside noise to manageable levels - respecting the neighbor's privacy and right to sleep. Please no outside noise after 10 at night.
10. EV 220 Volt Available for Charging, $35 flat fee. Code for lock can be sent after payment
11. How far are you from the restaurants and shops?
Our house is located in Big Bear City, not in the Big Bear Lake city, so we are outside of the tourist zone. It takes about 10 minutes to get to main grocery stores like Vons and Stater Bros, Starbucks, DIY, tubes, Zoo and ski slopes, a very easy straight drive on our main road - Big Bear Blvd.
It takes 15 minutes to get to the main marina and the village with shops and restaurants.
It also takes 10-15 minutes to reach main fishing spots on the other side of the lake, many popular hikes, and even donkeys.
12. Is it safe to go for walks or bike rides in your neighborhood?
Definitely safe and pleasant! Our blocks are lined up with gorgeous pine trees and beautiful homes. The flat quiet roads inspire take walks and bike rides to parks, hiking trails.
13. Do you have central heating system if we don’t want to use the wood burning stove?
Yes! We have a great heating system, the house gets warm fast and you can control the vents opening if some rooms prefer to be colder and some love the heat.
We do not have AC during the summer, please open windows up and let the cool breeze in the morning and night. There are ceiling fans throughout the house.
