Get away to do some fishing

It as advertised, close to the water, with some good fishing,, max was very helpful, the bed was a tad bit small for my wife and I but she loved the soft mattress, I would stay again 👍

Perfect blend of vintage and modern

This is such a special place! Rustic 1940's lake cabins have kept the historic feel but have been updated with modern amenities like great WiFi! Quiet and peaceful but with access to a "big" lake for boating and short distance to town for groceries/gas/sunblock/etc. The property is well maintained, and owner is very responsive and accommodating. I hope to go back!

Wonderful property

Cabin had no stove but we hadn't planned on doing much cooking, a grill was available, but we didn't use it. The bed was very comfortable. The place was cozy for two and a great view of the lake. Firepit was available and firewood available to purchase. This would be an ideal location for several couples to rent individual cabins and just hang out together at the lake.

Excellent fishing

Cabin #2 was perfect for two adults. Fishing on lake Agusta and clear water lake was wonderful. We caught large mouth bass, northern pike, walleye and bluegill effortlessly. The resort is missing a fish cleaning station, but we made it work. (note: there was no stove and the refrigerator was not full size). Overall, we recommend the cabin based on cost and amenities.

We had such a great stay!!!!! The Cabin is perfect - just the right amount of space for 2 people! Very clean, yet still feels like a cabin. Great little electric fireplace for those cool mornings, and windows to open on all sides to let the breeze flow through. There is AC, but we didn't need it. The kitchen is stocked with everything needed, and the bathroom, though small, has great shower pressure and plenty of hot water! The outdoor area is well kept, lush with foliage and old trees that whisper stories. There are plenty of chairs and campfire pits provided. The whole place is very quiet and relaxing -just what we were looking for. We took the provided canoe out twice - even took it through the channel to Clearwater Lake on a beautiful calm morning. If you are traveling as a couple, or a family with teenagers, I give this place a million stars! If you are traveling with small children and swimming in the lake is on the list, keep in mind that this is a typical Minnesotan lake with lots of weeds. It is beautiful and serene, but perhaps not ideal for little kids who want to splash around in 3 feet of water. Fish off the dock? Yes! Float on a tube? Yes! Swim? Only if wading through the weeds is something you are used to. We never talked to the hosts. We saw them once helping someone with the pontoon boat, but our check in was smooth and contact-less and we had no need to call on them for anything. The parking situation is convenient.

Cute and quaint

Stayed for 5 nights with my mom and dog, the cabin was cute on the inside, she slept on the bed, I was on the pullout for one night and ended up using a blow up bed I brought for the rest of the nights. Property was smaller than expected but it was nice to be close to the water. Rented the pontoon which was nice. Whenever we needed anything it was at our door in a very timely manner. Parking wasn’t the greatest, we were in cabin 2 and had to haul our stuff, had to walk down a little hill and between cabin 3 & 4 to get to our place.

Very Disappointing Stay for 25th Anniversary

We had higher expectations...advertised kitchen, but no stove...only (1) hot plate...minimum of silverware, furniture in cabin were uncomfortable...no tv...should let renters know what is NOT supplied and available at cabins. Mosquitos were terrible and had tAo stay inside most of time! On the positive side the bed was somewhat comfortable and we were right by the lake.

This was the perfect, peaceful escape that was only an hours from our home. Traveled with my 14yr old son and boyfriend, stayed 2 nights. Absolutely beautiful place. Small but very clean and well supplied cabins. We highly recommend for an affordable, safe, fun getaway, we all took a kayak out on the lake (included/amenities) very rewarding. Incredibly friendly staff.
