Welcome to The Buckeye Valley Beech Bunker — a cozy, clean mountain retreat just 0.6 miles from Beech Mountain Resort. It’s close enough for a quick drive or easy walk to the slopes, which makes it perfect for ski weekends, winter getaways, and families looking for a comfortable home base on the mountain. Guests love the warm fireplace, the comfortable king bed, and the balcony where deer wander by all year long.

This one-bedroom condo sleeps up to four guests with a king bed in the bedroom and a queen sleeper sofa in the living room. Inside, you’ll find a simple, well-kept space with everything you need for an easy stay. A small desk and workspace were recently added, making it convenient for remote work, schoolwork, or catching up on emails between ski runs.

The kitchen is equipped with the basics for simple meal prep, and the smart lock makes check-in smooth and easy. Fast WiFi, a Smart TV with Roku, and an in-unit washer and dryer help make your mountain trip feel comfortable and relaxed.

Location really is the highlight here. You’re only 0.6 miles from Beech Mountain Resort and close to restaurants, walking trails, mountain biking, and everything the High Country offers. Banner Elk is just 10 miles away, Boone is 20 miles away, and the unit is tucked inside the historic Holiday Beech Villas community—one of the first condo communities built on the mountain in the early 70s.

Nature is part of the experience. You’ll often see deer right off the balcony, and in the winter months when the leaves drop, you get a lovely seasonal mountain view.

Good to know before you book:
• AWD/4WD is strongly recommended in winter
• The mountain gets very dark at night—arriving before dark is easier
• Cell service can be spotty, so downloading directions ahead of time helps
• There are exterior steps leading down to the unit
