We had a wonderful stay at the cottage. Conveniently located near our favorite beaches, kettleponds, and restaurants. Three season room was perfect for sitting out at night and the cottage had all the amenities we could need for a comfortable stay. Thoughtfully decorated and furnished, easy check in/out process, and prompt communication. We would definitely stay here again!

Great house in Welfleet

Was a great house close to the pond and the beach. The house owner was very kind and answered questions we had while we were there very quickly and respectfully. Overall an amazing place to stay to enjoy the summer on vacation.

Great Place, Great Stay

We had a wonderful time during our stay. The cottage was comfortable for my family of three. It was perfectly located with a feeling of seclusion but also close to all the restaurants/shops/beaches. We absolutely love the post and beam cottage. The place is spotless and has everything you need.

We had such a wonderful stay. The cottage has a beautiful yard which is the perfect place to relax and listen to the birds. The owner is so nice and very welcoming. The location is perfect in getting to the beach or the restaurants on rte 6. We will definitely be back next year.

Perfect little cottage

My husband and I absolutely loved our stay at this lovely little cottage. So many qualities make it stand out: the charming decor, relaxing front porch, central location, and wonderfully attentive owner. We got home today and are already looking at our calendars for a return visit!

This little cottage was sparkling clean & wonderfully stocked, and made for a lovely getaway in Wellfleet. Our family of four fit nicely into the space. Mary Ellen was very responsive and helpful, and made sure we applied for our beach parking pass in time!

Absolutely the best place we have found on VRBO.

We have stayed at many VRBO properties in Florida and the Cape. This was perfect for me and my husband..loved the close drive to the beaches and everything we cared about was so close. Cottage was just great. Clean, comfortable and well appointed. Can't say enough about the place. Already booked for fall of 2018!

Perfect home with everything you will ever need!

Delightful

Our stay was absolutely delightful. The cottage was clean, Mary Ellen was prompt to reply and very helpful with any questions that we had. The location was perfect-close to Great Pond which was just magnificent and perfect for our two boys, to town, and to the bayside and ocean beaches. The cottage is small but has everything we needed. We especially enjoyed reading and playing games in the three season room, and the coziness of the loft bedroom. We can’t wait to be back!

What a cute place!

We so enjoyed our vacay in this wonderful, well-appointed Cape cottage, it is newer and clean and has everything you need. Higher quality furnishings than one normally sees in a rental cotttage. I’ve often joked that rental cottages are where old, mismatched furniture goes to die, but not here! Lives larger than it’s compact square footage; it’s flexible floor plan met our needs very well. Other reviews are correct, the owner is indeed responsive and friendly. Would definitely rent this again.

Great stay!

Mary Ellen was very accommodating and readily available to address any questions we had. This place was extremely clean! I have allergies and nothing there bothered me at all. The location to downtown Wellfleet was perfect, distance to Newcomb beach was nice, bout 5 to 10 minutes. We saw many seals, kids thought that was pretty cool, and so did I. Places we enjoyed to eat were the BOL for breakfast, great smoothie type breakfast, little pricey but worth it. The Pearl restaurant was amazing! Also, people in the neighborhood actually knew Mary Ellen so it was kind of like being welcomed by a family who was well known in the community. Great stay, look forward to going back!

Delightful

This was our second year staying at the summer cottage. It is a charming post and beam with everything we need for a week with our two boys. The house is clean, cozy, and tucked away in a quiet wooded area with a few other homes. I especially love reading in the three season room. We love the location, close to the ponds, town, and convenient to get to all that Wellfleet has to offer. Mary Ellen is kind and helpful, checking in to make sure we arrived and that check in was smooth, and also letting us know about events in town or new restaurants we should check out. We can’t recommend the summer cottage enough and look forward to coming back!

Welcome to Heaven

Back for our third stay at the Post and Beam Cottage and again, we felt welcomed back by Mary Ellen with open arms (literally) and a bottle of wine in the fridge for us! We LOVE it here and will stay for a week every June and look forward to coming back. It is a piece of heaven on earth. There is just something about Wellfleet and this magical cottage. If I could clone it, I would! :) But since I can't do that, I just take comfort in knowing for a week in June I will be back to the best place on earth. Can't wait to come back!!
