The property was developed in the late 1940’s thru the mid 1950’s.
It consists of 3 original Topanga cottages.
In addition there is an original 1969 Streamline Imperial Trailer resting comfortably at the property. A Studio which offers amazing views of the mountains surrounding the property. And, most beautiful are the sunrises and sunsets. We have a communal gym space to exercise, a communal garden to pick vegetables for your meals. Lastly take a sauna with your private outdoor jacuzzi and shower surrounded by mountain views .

Very relaxing and blissful , very clean, very beautiful, art everywhere, host was awesome , I highly recommend this property for a quick escape from this crazy world. Stay was amazing.

Magical place

The house is gorgeous - all rooms have a great view. Communication was easy and we appreciated that the house was ready for us even if we were coming in very late. Beds are comfortable and the place has a really nice vibe. The house is close to many trails (easy access on foot) and the neiborhood is very quiet. The road to get here is magical. We enjoyed our time a lot.

Topanga Family Reunion

We were an unusually large group (needed 4 beds) and all was beautifully prepared for us. The house was clean and welcoming. Our hostess met us at the gate and spent some time explaining the gate codes, where supplies were and what cabinets were private. We brought our own coffee pot and supplies because we knew we were going to need a big one and it did get used- usefully, there was a kettle. The location was wonderful, great for walking and the view classic Topanga, Good off road parking. Highly recommended

Pretty Home but very strange

First off I thought it was very strange that we didn’t receive instructions on checking in. In fact the owner was there waiting for us to hand over the key and gave us a tour of the house. Which is when she notified us we wouldn’t be the only guests on the property. I would have preferred she stated that in the listing because we probably wouldn’t have chosen this place to stay if that was the case. Our first night there we didn’t sleep well because there were Alexa’s in the house that notified you of motion detectors around the property so at 3am when the other guest were walking around they would go off and one was right next to the bed, it alarmed us because it was the middle of the night and we didn’t know why these guests would be walking around. This was an inconvenience because we had a wedding the very next day and had very little sleep. You should also know if you have a big vehicle this is not the place for you. We had to drive up a tiny driveway and pull into the property but were unable to turn around due to the other guest vehicles being there so we have to reverse down a very steep and narrow driveway. The house was cute and the host was very nice and easy to get ahold of but our overall experience was very strange it seemed as though they were currently living in the home and all of their belongings were everywhere. We ended up cutting our trip short and drove all the way home after the wedding because we just didn’t feel comfortable staying knowing there were 3 other people on the property with us after being up the whole first night.

hi there sorry you felt uncomfortable As you saw I have an acre of property and other structures - as stated in the listing - but the house is private and no one goes closer. You might had forgotten about the animals around - I’m the last property right next to the park. I told you as well you could just unplug alexa because it comes every time an animal cross the property. And those little details are the reason I like to walk everyone that stays in the house - so there are no surprises. One more note - that’s not a hotel, that’s home away from home ;) what makes more cozy and comfortable - you wouldn’t have a professional steamer and a projector with 110 projector screen and surrounding system in a hotel room ;) on a note; you have the biggest truck I ever saw. You are lucky you booked here, this truck would not go far in topanga ;)

Week with family- 3 couples and dogs

We were disappointed; one couple left mid-week because there were no curtains in the master bedroom. Lots of clutter on kitchen counter, no designated space in pantry, fridge had lots of her food and only a single serving specialty pod coffee maker (not Keurig). Lack of privacy with three short-term renters in the front yard who came and went during our stay, dog poop not cleared, and poor functionality of living room with 2 tree stumps instead of chairs. Murphy bed entirely too big for the space, hard to get around bed, no space for luggage or clothes storage, no outlets. Mouse in kitchen and not all bakeware clean, no pot-holders evident. Host wanted to check us in, texting and calling for our delayed arrival, but ultimately sent directions and gate code. No handbook with info about Wi-Fi password, recycling instructions or use of projector in master bedroom. No TV, not enough towel bars. Aesthically, home is quite lovely. Friendly host dropped by several times, once due to disruption of another guest family staying in the front yard, once to pick up her food from fridge, Amazon deliveries, watering plants. We did use hot tub, beware you are being watched on Ring! We feel the host will have to make major changes to the way she leaves the house, and consider guest needs, avoid booking short-term rentals at the same time in the two structures in the front yard and not use Murphy bedroom. Guests should be prepared for intense decorations in child’s bedroom and decide what coffee-maker they need to bring.

The house was trashed. Food trash everywhere, dog hair and more trash - no wonder attracted mice to the house - as the door might had left open all times. Fridge smells like bad food and lots of spices. Had to clean the whole fridge and still smells. Dog poop everywhere and lots of complaining from neighbors about the 2 dogs barking non stop. Very poor communication. There are 3 projectors at the house - I tried to give them a tour and show around but again very rude guests and poor communication. Kids room: I left crafts and toys for your ‘kids’ - very poor communication made me think you had kids. I have an acre of land right next to a state park - need outside MOTION cameras: won’t record if we are home just announce motion There s a manual for everything in the house right on the counter but could not even show the guests - again extremely difficult communication. It’s an amazing property, I’m sorry you didn’t enjoy, but I note you use and move every single thing on the entire house - especially kitchen. Coffee - french press and colombian coffe or dolce gusto coffe machine - and you use all the pods, might had liked it. On a note you wouldn’t have all in a hotel, that’s an idea of renting someone house - but that might not be the best option for you
