Historic 1810 Captain Burrows Home~ A Nautical New England Inspiration!
Ay Ay, captain! Stay in an antique home with an authentic seafaring history!
Captain Burrows was a descendant of one of Mystic’s founding families. He set sail on his maritime adventures as a cabin boy on a whaling voyage, after which he forged a distinguished career as an officer, working on the steamships that ferried passengers from Liverpool, England, to New York and Galveston.
Capt. Burrows' home dates back to circa 1810 and is brimming with nautical character and New England charm. Just imagine the captain bringing goods back from his ship to this very house, sneaking them in through the cellar door to sell to the shipyards that once sat in Mystic Seaport!
Just a 10-min walk to downtown Mystic and with delightful water views of Tuft’s Cove, Captain Burrows Home is perfect for family and friend gatherings, sleeping 6-7 guests in 3 super comfortable bedrooms!

LIVING & ENTERTAINING
Sun-filled rooms, wide board floors, and original features set the scene in this well-appointed vacation home. You’ll enjoy plenty of space to spread out in comfort with the coziest living room furnished with a comfy couch and armchairs, rugs covering the wood planks, and a Smart TV with a Roku streaming stick for movie nights.
There are plenty of restaurants close to home, but when you choose to stay in for a meal, the galley kitchen has everything you'll need to whip up something delicious!
Gather around the captain’s table in our intimate dining room, with an antique dining table comfortably seating all your guests. Please use the antique dishes! :-)
If you need a quiet moment or want to catch up with the office during your stay, you’ll find the Captain’s Quarters the perfect space. SLEEPING ARRANGEMENTS
After a full day exploring Mystic, you’ll appreciate our three deliciously comfortable bedrooms. One bedroom plus a pull-out twin sleeper and a daybed on the first floor is ideal for guests who have difficulty with stairs or parents sharing with toddlers.
All bedrooms feature comfy mattresses, fresh pillows, beautiful linens, alarm clocks, USB charger ports on each bedside, plenty of soft fluffy towels, and complimentary toiletries so you can pack lighter.
First floor: Full-size bedroom sleeps 2

Second floor: Queen size bedroom sleeps 2
Second floor: 2 Twins bedroom sleeps 2
NOTE:

The first floor has a 1/2 bath and would require guests who sleep in the full-size bedroom or the Captain's Quarters to climb stairs to the 2nd floor to shower.

The Mystic Seaport Museum is a must-see while you are here! The 1807 Williams Home rooms are named after maritime trades. The museum is home to five National Historic Landmark vessels: Charles W. Morgan- last whaling ship, Sabino Coal Steamer- last in regular operation in the U.S., L.A. Dunton, Joseph Conrad, and the Emma C. Berry. Darum fiel die Entscheidung auf diese Unterkunft
My husband and I have always loved adorable and how it sits up on the little hill looking out at Tuft's Cove! Owning this has been a dream come true! Some may wonder why we bought another home in our hometown. I guess it's a testament to how much we love the area!
Located in West Mystic, just a 10-minute walk from downtown Mystic, where you'll find shops and plenty of outstanding restaurants, it offers the best of both worlds~ centrally close to everything but far enough away from the bustle. It's only a 3-mile drive to Mystic Seaport Museum, Mystic Aquarium, and Old Mistick Village. If you prefer to relax at home for the day, we believe you will be pretty happy just hanging out reading, cooking, or watching a movie in this cheerful home!
