Kanaloa at Kona ist eine erstklassige Ferienwohnung in Kona, Hawaii. Der Komplex liegt in einer Wohngegend, abseits von Verkehr und anderen Eigentumswohnungen oder Hotels. Kanaloa ist außergewöhnlich schön mit viel Platz und tropischer Landschaft um und zwischen Gebäuden. Die Maßeinheiten sind außergewöhnlich groß (meine ist 1300 sqft). Kanaloa ist vom Kona Country Club und der Keauhou Bay umgeben - beides trägt zur Ruhe und Beschaulichkeit dieser fabelhaften Lage bei.

Innerhalb des Kanaloa-Komplexes befindet sich nur ein Teil der Einheiten direkt am Meer. Die meisten haben Meerblick, aber es ist etwas ganz Besonderes, direkt am Meer zu sein. Diese Wohnung ist das Beste, was Kanaloa und die Küste von Kona zu bieten haben. Nur 2 der Kanaloa-Gebäude bieten von den Schlafzimmern aus einen uneingeschränkten Meerblick - und dies ist eines davon!

Der Anblick und die Geräusche des Ozeans füllen Ihre Tage und Nächte. Sie sind umgeben vom Meer am Lanai und auch innerhalb der Wohnung. Stell dir vor, du schläfst im Rauschen der Wellen ein!

Wir bieten Ihnen ein ausgesprochen luxuriöses und qualitativ hochwertiges Urlaubserlebnis. Die Möbel sind aus massivem handgeschnitztem Mahagoni, tropische Kunstwerke schmücken jeden Raum, die Betten sind weich und die Bettwäsche weich, die Küche und die Badezimmer haben Koa-Schränke, die Küche ist mit allem ausgestattet, was man braucht, und wurde 2008 renoviert, um Granit zu liefern Zähler und neue Geräte. Beachten Sie auch, dass diese Wohnung ideal für Paare ist, die zusammen reisen. Beide Schlafzimmer haben California King Betten!

When we arrived the office had no record of our reservation. The owner had failed to notify them and she had not given me the unit number. After about 30 minutes the staff at the front desk were able to figure out which unit it was by the description on the VRBO site and they knew then who the owner was. I had tried to contact her and so did the office. They were finally able to contact the man who was the maintenance person for that unit and he contacted someone who was managing it. After that confusion we settled in and were very pleased with the complex and the unit. The owner finally responded to me about an hour after we got into the unit.

The condo was as expected based on the description and reviews. This was a nice and roomy condo right off the ocean. We were about 15 minutes from Kona, but stores and shops right up the street. We were also close to Keauhou Bay where we took a catamaran snorkeling, swimming with the Manta Rays, and went to the Outrigger Luau, which is about a 5 minute drive. There were 3 pool areas with Jacuzzis. There is not really a beach area close by, just a small one right off the property that is ok to walk on the rocks.Pros- Large roomsComfy beds with a mattress topper on each king bed (we went home and bought a mattress topper).Laundry with supplied podsStocked well- make sure to check spices etc. before going to the store.Games, puzzles, and booksPool and ocean stuff (boogie boards, snorkeling gear, ice chest, chairs, beach towels...they have it all)Cons- not manyOnly 4 low quality pillows on each bed (these are king beds. Would've liked two more, perhaps two feather pillows or fluffy ones. Almost bought my own. It didn't bother my husband, but I am particular about my pillows.Table on the Lanai is low and the railing blocks the view of the ocean. A pub high table would be really nice in this space, but a spectacular view. We spend many days and nights on the lanai.Had to run the bathroom sink a long time to get hot water.That's it for cons....minor stuff. Overall, we were please with our accommodations. There were 4 of us. It was a perfect Hawaiian condo. Every amenity you could ever want. First floor unit on the ocean and no one was above us during our stay. You do get use to the ocean noise. The owners were very accommodating allowing us to enter the unit earlier than suggested arrival time. We would definitely consider a repeat stay in the future. The property was beautiful. I love this location on the Kona side of the island.

Wondrous location, wave sounds and heavenly beds extolled zen quality sleep, hollywood movie sunsets and sunrises. Nicely furnished, glorious showers, and a native motif. Kitchen was exceptionally well equipped (even had a microplane). Couple of issues: mildew in washer (easily cleaned by running a cycle with a bath towel), handle on pocket door to masterbath was broken (very difficult to open pocketdoor, if door was completly closed). However would NOT HESITATE to stay again.

Perfect Relaxing Stay

We ended our 2 week trip in Hawaii here for the last 3 nights and it was so relaxing. We just got food at the local Market (KTA Superstore) and hunkered down to enjoy the waves, weather and pool. The bed is very comfortable and we will definitely stay again, but next time longer!

Beautiful ocean front condo

Very comfortable condo, breathtaking ocean front views from every window! You could easily cook a holiday meal with the fully stocked kitchen. The property has 3 pools so everyone will be happy, ocean front, quiet pool and family pool. The sunsets and moonsets were AMAZING, and we didn't have to leave our lanai or living room to catch the show.

I have stayed in many VRBO’s but this place is above and beyond stocked with everything you need. Plenty of pots and pans plates cups utensils and cooking utensils. Probably better stocked than my own kitchen. The view from the front lanai is exactly as pictured. Pool is super close. Highly recommend this place.

This property is beautiful. The pictures do not do it justice. The sound of the crashing waves was intoxicating. You see the water from every room. Coffee on the Lani every morning is a great start to the day. Loved being close to town but not close enough to have noise. This unit is the BEST in the complex for location. The beds are very comfortable and the furnishings are very nice. Loved our stay here!!

Relaxing week on the Big Island

The condo is very well appointed with a fabulous ocean view. It is in a great location south of Kailua-Kona but close enough to be an easy drive to the boat harbor if you or someone in your group is scuba diving. It is an easy drive to Captain Cook, The place of Refuge, and 2 step for great snorkeling. The kitchen is fully stocked with anything you might need. They have beach towels, a cooler, beach chairs and a beach umbrella available to make your life easier. We enjoyed playing games on the lanai while watching the sunset. We had a few issues during our stay and Suzanne was very responsive and quickly took care of them. I will definitely recommend this condo to my friends and would happily stay here again.

Our family is enormously attached to being near the ocean. Years of staying in Big Island resorts convinced us we needed a place of our own - ON THE OCEAN! We snorkel, surf, shop for fresh Ahi tuna to eat on the lanai, fill the rooms with fresh flowers from the farmers' markets, enjoy the great chefs on the island who feature fresh local foods, visit the fabulous used book store in Kona and read on the lanai.

After many years of vacationing throughout the Hawaiian Islands, we found ourselves returning to the Big Island as our favorite. It has a sense of space and openness that creates relaxation. We love the Kona area for its climate and proximity to so much of the island's attractions. We viewed every condo complex up and down the coast. The absolutely best benefit to my condo is the extreme ocean front immersion. Waves break 50ft from your chair on the lanai. We all tend to spend a great deal of time outdoors on the lanai - it is so fabulous to be so close to the ocean!! All the living area and bedroom windows look onto the ocean as well. Add to that - our attention to comfort. The beds are plush and comfortable, quality linens throughout, a very well supplied and large kitchen, and everything is kept in top condition and very clean.
