The Wild Winds ist das ganze Jahr über ein Paradies für Naturliebhaber. Wir bieten viele Wege zum Wandern und / oder Radfahren. Genießen Sie das Angeln, Bootfahren und Entspannen am See und Strand, nur wenige Schritte von Ihrer rustikalen Hütte entfernt. Oder verbringen Sie Zeit an unserem privaten Teich (eigentlich ein kleiner See) mitten im Wald, wo wir einen Steg zum Tiefwasserschwimmen und Kanufahren eingerichtet haben. Oder für ein bisschen mehr Spannung ist das Wild Winds nur 7-8 Meilen von erstklassigen Golfplätzen, Einkaufsmöglichkeiten, Restaurants und anderen Sportseen entfernt. Wenn Sie kurze Tagesausflüge unternehmen möchten, können Sie nach Petoskey fahren, um den wunderschönen Michigansee zu sehen, oder Ihren Tag auf Mackinac Island verbringen.

Das Blockhaus "Honeymoon Cabin" verfügt über 4 Schlafzimmer und bietet Platz für 8-9 Personen

Oder erwägen Sie unsere andere Ferienwohnung im Wild Winds: "Junior" Kabine für 6-10 Personen und hat einen Kamin! (Siehe Homeaway. com # 368462).

Die Blockhäuser liegen direkt am Wequas-See und unser schöner privater See ist nur einen kurzen Spaziergang in den Wald entfernt.

Beide Häuser sind mit Sat-TV, Waschmaschine, Trockner, voll ausgestatteter Küche und 1 Bad ausgestattet. Der Preis ist für jedes Blockhaus gleich: Der Grundpreis beträgt 645 USD / Woche oder 125 USD / Nacht und die Hauptdaten betragen 780 USD / Woche oder 160 USD / Nacht. Im Juli und August vermieten wir wöchentlich (Samstag bis Samstag). Es wird eine Reinigungsgebühr von 60 USD erhoben, und gut erzogene Hunde sind gegen eine geringe Gebühr gestattet.

Denken Sie an andere Jahreszeiten? Die wilden Winde sind ein Winterwunderland! Schneemobilwege beginnen an der Spitze unserer Auffahrt. Langlaufen Sie auf unseren 60 Hektar großen privaten Loipen oder besuchen Sie nur wenige Kilometer entfernte gespurte Loipen. Skiabfahrten wie Treetops oder Boyne Mountain sind jeweils nur eine halbe Stunde entfernt. Oder genießen Sie einfach die unberührte Schönheit unserer Hektar Pinienwald in ihrem Winterfrost!

Rustic Cabin

Very rustic cabin, but comfortable and welcoming. This cabin is quite close to other cabins but we had plenty of privacy. Owners allowed us to fish, have a bonfire, and light fireworks on the 4th of July. The owners dog, Gunner, ran around and kept us company. Extremely accommodating when I asked for extra day and extra person staying with us. Only downside was lack of cooking utensils, hand soap, and no paper towels/trash bags. I would definitely add a few more outdoor chairs since this cabin accommodates 9 people and only had 4 outside chairs.

My Vacation and it was GREAT!

The cabin was great. I want to explain that the cabin was rustic and in the middle of the woods. GREAT in my opinion. That means bugs and critters who also enjoy the woods. The owner were great. The owners were there to great us as soon as we arrive. Everything the web sight said was all true. Had a great vacation and we will be back. The only problem was we are a board gaming family and I suggest a little more lights but I will still come back. Thank you for a great time. Kim F Michigan

Great location

Perfect location for a family reunion nearby. Cabin was rustic, charming but in need of overall cleanliness and basic supplies (kitchen cookware, linens, toiletries and window screens, and outdoor seating) we enjoyed our time at Wild Winds!

Charming old home in the woods

We needed a place to relax after a day of snowmobiling in Gaylord and this home fit the bill perfectly. Spacious and charming it was like we were time-warped back to the 50's/60's. The original cabin, along with the addition, allowed the four of us plenty of room for sleeping and lounging. It was a pleasure to meet the owner and get the history of the property. He was very informative and easily accessible if needed. Our winter trip was awesome and I know we'll be back in the summer to enjoy the lake. Overall a great weekend in a great home!

Snowmobile weekend

We had a great experience at the cabin. This is a rustic cabin with all the patina of its history. I grew up going to a cabin just like this. The host was very accommodating, making sure the house was warm when we arrived at 1:00am in the morning. There was plenty of parking for sleds and trailers. Trail head was at the end of the drive. If you want a place that's warm, comfortable, and to relax with your friends, you have a great place. If you have issues the family is close by to help out in any way they can. This is what I expect of a well mature northern Michigan cabin. We will stay there again, as long as the snow holds out for the season. Being off the beaten path gives you a nice seclusion from the hotel scene. Was a great time. Appreciated all your help Rokko.

Rustic cabin with nice trails

It was nice to get away from home, however there were a few things we didn’t love. The cabin is rustic, which we are perfectly ok with, however it definitely hadn’t been cleaned in some time. A lot of dust, cobwebs in doorways, and dried food on the table cloth. The property itself could be amazing and beautiful, however there are numerous piles of trash, cans, old building supplies, etc. From the description it sounded like there was just one other rental nearby however, there are 2 cabins that the family lives in there as well, which was fine. We had our privacy. We did enjoy the trails to walk our dogs and the direct TV. There is zero Verizon cell service and no WiFi, which again we were ok with. Just making others aware as the description does list WiFi as an amenity.

Great location.....but

The location of the cabin was great. Very secluded and peaceful. The cabin however was very questionable. The cabin clearly has a mold issue that you can smell. There were cobwebs all over the place and it just seemed dirty. I have 6 kids and a dog, and my house is cleaner. It's just not what you'd expect from a vrbo rental that you pay a cleaning fee for. Not tall person friendly. 6ft doorways. Hit my head several times even with ducking. At the end of the day, it's a cabin in the woods and not a hotel. Owner was very nice! Cabin just needs some attention.

Nature lovers paradise

We stayed at the wild winds for a week. It was a great property very secluded which we love but still very close to a lot of awesome stuff to do. It was a nature lovers paradise had lots of trails in the woods that were beautiful. We went to Torch lake, Lake Michigan and a bunch of other cool beaches all within a hour drive or you can just stay at the cabin and enjoy the beautiful Wequas lake right out your front door. The owner was very professional and great to work with. We will definitely be going back in the future.

NOTING LIKE THE PICTURES☹️

There was no beach like the pictures showed. We never had fire wood, even though we asked. The cabin was what I expected, a cabin, but it was not clean. There was cobwebs, dust, some mouse dropping and you had to use a large bowl to do the dishes because there was no stopper. I never met the host, only his brother(?). The yard was full of junk. The wild geese were being fed were you walked down to the boats and "beach", so you had to walk through goose poop. We had to fix one of the paddle boats to use it. One of the chairs on the balcony was broken. Needless to say, I will not be booking with them again.

Peaceful

The cabin was exactly as described. It was plenty of room for our party of 7. All essentials were provided. There was plenty of parking for our vehicles. Rocco greeted us upon arrival. One negative was the lack of wi-fi only because one teen needed to finish an online class while we were on vacation but we use a hotspot from other devices to make it work….on the positive, no wi-fi means more quality family time. I wish the window in the room with bunkbeds opened to allow air circulation. Overall my family were fine with the property. It is very peaceful and relaxing. I could have stayed much longer.

Remote & rustic

There is no internet or phone access. (That can be a blessing or curse.) The lake is peaceful. Rocco was nice. It was too rustic & remote for our needs, as we had intended to work remotely.

very rustic

The cabin was very rustic. Peaceful lake but the road in is dirt and rough. Internet was not available. Kitchen was furnished with most everything and nice to have washer and dryer. Quite and relaxing with wooded paths and lakes. Not for the person looking for high-end accommodations.
