Your home-away-from-home is as sweet as it gets in this custom ranch with main floor living and fabulous upgrades on an acre that’s just a hop, skip, and a jump from Hill City and all the gorgeous Southern Black Hills has to offer! Mount Rushmore is a mere 11 miles. Deadwood is only 39 miles with stops along 385 for ATVing, snowmobiling, golfing and the list goes on. You will find Mountain Biking, hiking, swimming and many other adventures in every direction. Chef’s delight eat-in, fully stocked, kitchen with loads of custom Alder cabinets, plenty of granite countertop space, stainless steel appliances, large center island, walk-in pantry, and hardwood birch floods extending into the dining room with walkout doors to a partially covered back deck, overlooking pine tree studded woods. Awe-inspiring living room with sky high vaulted ceiling, striking wooden beams, custom cabinetry, and cozy brick-encased wood-burning fireplace. Huge luxurious master suite is an absolute dream with tray ceiling, brick-encased gas fireplace, and barn door leading into a private master bath with tile floor, double vanity, tile walk in shower with 2 shower heads, jetted tub, and walk-in closet, 2 more sizable bedrooms and full guest bath. Handy main floor laundry with dog washing station. Attached heated 2 stall garage + detached 2 stall garage plus a 3-sided carport, boat/RV storage. Home gym included in second garage. A whole plethora of upgrades throughout including: plush carpet, remote blinds, 8 foot doors, 9 foot ceilings, solar tube lights, built-in indoor & outdoor speakers, shed, built in BBQ (plumbed to propane line) with awning, and custom-built gables. There are three bedrooms in this home. One has a king sized bed and two of the bedrooms have a queen sized bed as well as a pull-out trundle bed that is stored in the closet of each room. These pull-out beds are twin sized and the bedrooms are spacious with plenty of room to accommodate these additional beds. There is also a pull out couch in the family room. This makes for a total of six beds!

An unbelievable property! Perfect.

The pictures do not do this house justice. It is a large, new home with all the bells and whistles (great sound system in living room). Driving up, we could not believe that this was our place for a few days. The master bedroom is large with a remote-controlled fireplace. The master bath is enormous with a huge closet and double shower. The kitchen is the most well-stocked of any short term rental I have ever seen. We did a lot of cooking. Big, new washer/dryer. Every single morning we were there the deer would come to eat in the backyard and we could lounge in the living room watching them. So peaceful. It’s a short hop to Hill City. The owner was extremely responsive and helpful. The check-in process was so easy. I cannot recommend this property enough. If it wasn’t a 10 hour drive from our home, we’d be there often! I can’t imagine staying in another short-term rental or VRBO that measures up to this one.

Do Not Risk Your Vacation on this

Our stay was a disaster. The property manager failed to communicate with us, through your site, which is the site that I made the reservations on. The phone number she provided on your site was disconnected and we did not receive instructions to access the house on the day we were supposed to occupy the property. I received cryptic emails that the property was ready but no instructions attached and no reply communication. We were required to make alternate reservations at a hotel at the last minute on a weekend in which all the hotels were booked for a soccer tournament. We are disputing all charges to our credit card. Despite my repeated requests on October 21 to call my telephone number, the property manager did not. I did not hear from her until the afternoon of October 22, after which time we were already required to make alternate reservations at a hotel in Rapid City. I would never rent from this person again.

Awesome family weekend!

We LOVED staying in this house! We're a family of 4 (two adult children) It was beautiful, well appointed with everything we needed, comfortable, spacious. Loved spending time with our family and extended family who were also in the Black Hills in other locations. Our rental was the gathering spot in the evenings and it couldn't have been better. Also loved the central location for Black Hills fun and the proximity to Hill City. We would absolutely rent here again.

Perfect & Picturesque

This lodge was a lovely place to stay, nestled in the hills of South Dakota. We were blown away by the exceptional interior and attention to detail in both design and furnishing. We came away with a lot of respect for the owners! We saw deer outside our window every day and you could even see horses grazing out in the distance. We would 100% stay here again, only we would stay longer next time. It was only about 19-23 minutes to Rapid City, Mount Rushmore, and the Needles Highway — easy commute to all of the major attractions. Highly recommend.
