Love this place!

This is the second time my husband and I have stayed at Lahaina Roads and when we come back, we will definitely look to stay here again! The location is wonderful and you cannot beat the view! Nick, the owner, was so accommodating to us, you couldn't ask for someone better.

Nick’s condo was clean and very well stocked. He was extremely helpful with info about dining and activities. Just a short walk to grocery store and Starbucks. 4 waterfront restaurants within a five minute walk that all had excellent food. The view was amazing. We were looking for a quiet,restful trip and that was exactly what we got!

Excellent location and good stay

Direct ocean front, walk to beach, shopping and the town. We found some termite in the bedroom but the owner got the resident manager to clean it immediately the next morning after being reported, and arranged professional treatment later, the owner even voluntarily refunded half of one night charge.

Unbeatable location!

In the heart of Lahaina we could easily walk to shopping and restaurants. Multiple days we even walked to downtown Lahaina. The sunsets from our lanai were unbelievable. Turtles frequently visited in front of the property. The owner was extremely communicative, helpful and ensured we had everything we needed.

Wonderful Property and Experience

My wife and I had a wonderful, relaxing week staying at Nick and Sylvie's Maui home. The unit is in a perfect location on Front Street, and the owners had superb recommendations and clear instructions for use. Fantastic location, Amazing view

We had such a wonderful stay! Nick was great to deal with throughout the booking process and before our stay. We really appreciated the level of communication, info about the surrounding area, etc. Great location with an easy walk to several restaurants nearby or even into Lahaina. The best part of the condo was the view from the balcony and being able to watch sea turtles by the seawall. We were sad to leave and would definitely stay here again on a future trip to Maui. Good Lahaina condo rental

Owner was prompt in responding to questions. He gave a lot of good info about things to see and do. The condo location was perfect. Quick access to beaches, stores and town. Bedroom windows facing the main street and elevator did present some noise, but not bad. Mostly blocked out by the white noise of the ocean! Would stay again.

Perfect Location!

Wish I could give this property higher marks for location - it simply can't be beat! We've stayed in this building a few times, and it's the best. Walk to downtown Lahaina, Baby Beach or just a couple blocks to the Safeway/Longs Drugs and several restaurants. Parking is super convenient right under the building - although you might want to avoid renting a jumbo-sized vehicle. The condo sits just yards from the ocean and the views of the sunset are spectacular. There's also a nice (and super clean) swimming pool with lounge chairs, and BBQ area with easy-to-operate gas grills. Can't wait to go back!

Sunsets and Turtles!

This property location is ideal for walking to beaches, shopping, restaurants, and snorkeling spots. In fact, you can snorkel from the steps of the ocean wall at the complex. The owner, Nick, is very responsive to any problems you may encounter at the unit or on the island. The property manager is always helpful and available as well. The unit is well stocked for down time when you come back from a day of adventures on Maui. You won't regret choosing to stay here!

A wonderful retreat with a great ocean view and sounds of the surf

We spent ten days enjoying Nick's condo...it had almost everything we needed for our stay, the unit has comfortable furnishings, and what a view! There's no better way to experience Maui than sitting on the lanai soaking in the ocean sounds and sights. The pool is great, and your sunset view includes Lanai, Molokai, and a distant Oahu. Nick had warned us that demolition and reconstruction was in process, and there was some disturbance during the daytime, but we had a great time anyway. We hope to return and enjoy the unit again.

Location was excellent for us. 20 min walk to Banyan Tree and Lahaina shops, and 45 - 60 min walk to Kaanapali and Whaler's village, 5 min walk to Safeway and other shops. With bus service, you really don't need a car unless you want to tour the rest of the island. Downside is that you are so close to the Ocean, some may be bothered by the constant surf noise - but this actually appealed to us. I recall that this facility is advertized as adult oriented and this was also a plus for us.There is some road noise from Front Street at night, but traffic is light. We would consider this unit for future visits!

Condo with great water view

This is just the condo we wanted for our Maui vacation. It's right next to the water. We can spot turtles from our lanai. It has a very nice size pool and BBQ area. It's walking distance to old town Lahaina and has a beautiful beach part just about 15 minutes walk north. The unit is spacious and furnished nicely with all the amenities to do some cooking if you don't want to eat out all the time. It's just a few minutes walk from Safeway and close to good restaurants. There are also food truck park near Safeway and one closer to old town Lahaina if you don't want to pay the price of a Maui restaurant.

It was quite cozy and exactly what we needed. The location was nice, away from any noise from the main part of front street. I was glad it had a kitchen since we went fishing I had a place to cook my catch. The view was wonderful! It was a joy watching the sunset from the balcony, and wake up with morning coffee and watch the waves. The only real issue with the place was the sliding glass door to the balcony would get stuck, and was extremely hard to open. And if you can't handle the heat, there is no AC, which didn't bother us too often. All in all my husband and I had a nice stay and would come here again if we had the opportunity. Thanks!

No frills condo, amazing location

The condo is exactly as described. The condo /building is dated but has the comforts of home including a full kitchen, washer/dryer, and beach gear (folding backpack chairs, coolers, beach towels, snorkel masks). The toilet was a bit quirky and some lights didn’t work. For someone who likes it quite cool, the condo was quite warm during the day even with windows/patio doors open and fans running, but Nick the owner had forewarned us about this. The downsides were outweighed by the excellent oceanfront location where turtles can be seen swimming right up to the sea wall.

Excellent Location for our return to Maui

We have stayed in Maui 3 times before up at Kahana Reef, but this time we thought we would cast the net further but it still had to be ocean side with a good view, oceanfront pool, and small and intimate. This unit had it all plus was within walking distance of Lahaina town. The unit is clean and well equipped, including new chairs on the lanai and a new 39 inch flatscreen TV (which worked great with the Sony BluRay player for netflix etc). The Tommy Bahama''s beach chairs were a nice touch. The local Safeway is great for all your needs, in fact if you didn't want to explore the Island a car would not be required. We can think of no negatives for this unit, communication with the owner, Nick was good with quick response times. We didn't want to leave and will be back next year.

When we discovered Hawaii, it seemed like paradise. We stayed on Maui, but when we discovered Lahaina Roads, we just loved the view, the peaceful yet convenient location, the layout of the units. We dreamed of owning a place here, and suddenly we were able to make that dream come true. We are delighted to share our slice of paradise some of the time, so the unit remains fresh.
We had custom built windows installed in the bedroom to keep the noise from Front Street down, so our unit is nice and quiet.

Rent this unit if the traffic noise from the highway and Front street will interfere with your sleep - we have double glazed windows on the bedroom that cut out most of the noise.
Rent this unit if you want a cozy break with your special other.
Rent this unit if you like the spacy layout and décor. We do not have the kitchen island that takes up a lot of space in the living room - check out the photos.
Rent this unit if you would like a safe in the unit.
Do not rent this unit if you insist on air-conditioning. We find the trade winds, the louvered windows and the fans in every room work fine when it gets a bit warm.
Rent at Lahaina Roads if you want to be right on the ocean, a short walk to the beach, all the stores you will need for your stay, and close to the restaurants of Lahaina and Ka'anapli Beach, but away from the hustle and congestion.
Rent at Lahaina Roads if you want to watch turtles in the ocean and the sun setting from your private lanai or sitting by the pool, and be a short walk from the Old Lahaina Luau.
Stay in Lahaina if you want some of the best weather on Maui.
We get up early and walk along Kanapali beach to Black Rock, go swimming or snorkeling, then come back for breakfast on the lanai. The boardwalk at Wailea is 3 miles there and back, exceptional ocean view and local plants and beaches. The happy hour at Nick's Fish House or Ko in the Fairmont is worth a try or happy hour at the shops a Wailea (Tommy Bahamas, Wolfgang, Waikiki Brewing). Happy hour with pupus at Monkeypod, Leilani's, or Hula Grill at Ka'anapali, or one of the restaurants right by the condo, Mala, or lively new Coco Deck.

The view from your private lanai or by the pool on the ocean! At any time of the day or night, it is a delight to contemplate. 180 degrees from Ka'anapali beach north, across the islands of Moloka'i and Lana'i, to the Mala wharf and Old Lahaina Luau to the south.
Try a whale watching trip and a snorkeling trip to Molokini or Lanai are usually in our plans. And a few rounds of golf on one of the courses - everything is within about 20 miles drive, and the road along the ocean to Ma'alaea is a delight. Once in a lifetime visitors may also consider the road to Hana, with the seven sacred pools, and Lindburgh's burial site. See the sunrise over the crater of Haleakala. Visit the Tedeschi winery above Oprah's estates. Snorkel off the private island of Lanai and in the sunken crater of Molokini.
