What a cute place and wonderful host. The room was clean and bright; we had a perfect view of the lake to watch the sunset; and the host came to our rescue when one of our bike tires went flat. They were a real pleasure to chat with.

Clean Convenient & Comfortable

Nicely done updated motel. Very comfortable & clean! Only thing missing was a little bedside lamp but certainly not the most important feature.

Cute place, great pool and location!!

We are ere very impressed by the cleanliness and convenience of Sunset Motel! Very cute, quaint place with a nice pool. We boated down to Lake City so we had no car and limited luggage/supplies but everything we needed was in the room….hair dryer, lots of towels, soap, shampoo/conditioner. There were even floaters at the pool for use. Would definitely stay again.

Such a cute motel! Appeared to be recently remodeled and has a fabulous retro vibe. We loved the proximity to downtown Lake City and local establishments including the cutest and delicious little diner Heidi’s Hug a Mug cafe. Further, we had a fabulous lake view we could enjoy on the patio in our colorful Adirondack chairs. The beds were incredibly comfortable and the room clean. Our host was incredibly responsive as well. When we expressed a need for additional towels, they were promptly delivered to our room. Would definitely stay here again!

Just the basics and convenient

All we were looking for was a clean, comfortable place to sleep for the night. This worked very well. Quiet and comfortable.

The room was just a very basic hotel room. It was clean. Poolside as described is very misleading, as it's not visible in front of the room. You have to look across the parking lot to the side. Pool is small & was surprisingly busy. There's also a very limited lake view. Overall it was a decent place to stay. Beds were comfortable. The tiny AC unit was really working to keep up, but did the job. The bathroom is very small. There are not enough plug-ins in the room if multiple people are getting ready. It was very basic for the price, but worked for sleeping.

Thank you for sharing your feedback. We’re glad you found the room clean and comfortable, but we’re sorry it didn’t fully meet your expectations. We offer a variety of room sizes and layouts, and your comments about the poolside description and amenities are helpful as we work to set clear expectations for future guests. We appreciate you staying with us!
