Hi Sonya...this review is quite disturbing to us! We're disappointed you were unhappy with your stay at our property. I'm extremely confused with the reference to our property being a duplex...we are very much a one story, detached, single family home, with no other homes or apartments of such attached to us! As for the maintenance issues you mentioned...we would have been more than happy to immediately replace the outlet faceplate with the crack in it if this was brought to our attention upon your discovery and you felt unsafe. The indent in the wall behind the third bedroom doorknob has been repaired. As for the towel ring in the guest bathroom, this review solves the mystery...we were wondering how and where it disappeared to...our maintenance crew could have reinstalled it for you if this was brought to our attention when it fell off during your stay. I can only presume you disposed of it as opposed to allowing us the opportunity to fix it for you...or saving it for re-installation after your departure, but no worries, we bought a new one since we discovered it missing, had it installed in minutes and have yet to have issues thus far. Usually issues are brought to our attention during a guest's stay to either simply make us aware or to allow us the opportunity to address them as quickly and efficiently as possible. Waiting for a review to mention said issues delays hosts the opportunity to address them quickly before any subsequent guest arrives... but luckily these issues were so minor, we were able to have them all repaired in under 15 minutes so nevertheless thank you for bringing them to our attention. It's unfortunate you weren't completely satisfied due to the issues you mentioned....good luck and take care Sonya.

Unfortunately, on occasion we get disgruntled guests. During the booking process you stated that you and a few friends/coworkers were coming to Houston for two nights, for a girls weekend. Your reservation stated 3 guests. As we always do, we send a welcome/confirmation message immediately after booking, and also confirm the total number of guests that will be staying on the property. You did not respond. We reached out again 3 separate times (without a response), including the morning of arrival, explaining that we would need a response in order to gain access to the property. You arrived at the property around 7pm, then responded to our messages simply stating "8 guests." We then changed the reservation from your initial 3 guests, to reflect the 8 guests that you informed us of. VRBO requires a reservation to reflect accurate information. At the same exact time, you called VRBO trying to gain access the property at which time it was explained to you that the reservation needed to reflect accurate information. VRBO added fees within the platform, at which time you then told VRBO that only 3 guests would be staying. Nevertheless, you were immediately provided the access code and we removed all additional charges VRBO added to your reservation. Upon inspection after your review, the Jacuzzi tub was able to fill with hot water...this was not brought to our attention and no issues were found. I can only assume the "dirty" area you mention was referring to the unpainted back wall inside the vanity cabinet, under the sink. The unpainted area has now been freshly painted. It's very unfortunate to receive dishonest reviews like this as we really do strive to accommodate all guests, maintain communication, and provide a comfortable and enjoyable stay.
