The Palm Springs Desert Star (ID#1875) is a classic Hacienda style 4 BR home in the heart of desirable South Palm Springs. It features a resort-like yard with a saltwater pool, spa, fire pit and outdoor grill -- as well as magnificent mountain views . The perfect destination for your gathering with friends and family or just a quiet retreat, the home exudes charm and glamour, relaxation and celebration. The many amenities include a pool table, fireplace, fully equipped kitchen, outdoor bar + grill, W/D, and 5 TVs.
The house has wonderful indoor/outdoor flow. Each of the four bedrooms of this spacious 4 bedroom home has a comfortable king size bed with high count cotton linens and its own TV. One of the bedrooms is a separate casita across the pool, with its own mini fridge and an additional daybed. The indoor dining table can easily seat your entire group, and there is also a patio for outdoor mountain view dining that is truly spectacular.
We are also very close to downtown and all of the great food and entertainment venues that Palm Springs has to offer.
OTHER DETAILS TO NOTE:
The Palm Springs Desert Star is a licensed Vacation rental operating under Palm Springs City ID# 1875. All licensed vacation rentals in Palm Springs follow vacation rental laws to remain in business. These include occupancy limits, good neighbor policies, party-free homes, no outdoor music permitted, insuring renters are over the age of 25, and a rental contract signed by the responsible renter agreeing to the rules of the house. Since we have a 4BR home, our occupancy is limited to 8 guests (plus 2 children age 12 or under).
The City of Palm Springs adds an occupancy tax of 12.5% that is charged at the time of booking.
Pool heating is available for $60 per day. It is recommended between late October and early May. You will need to let us know in advance if you want pool heat, as it takes a day or so to get it up to temperature. We also have a pool chiller that is available for guests to use during the hot summer months to cool down the pool. No charge!
We have a Tesla EV charger that guests are welcome to use. The charger is compatible with Tesla vehicles and comes with a J1772 adapter which should allow it to charge non-Tesla EVs as well. Charging is only permitted for guests who are staying at the property.
Please inquire about pets. We typically allow one small dog (around 25lbs or less) that is house trained as long as we do not have a same day turnover. Please keep your furry fella off the furniture and out of the pool/spa. We charge a flat fee of $150 + 12.5% tax.

We are recent newlyweds with two young boys (one human, one doggo). After dealing with cold + snowy winters all of our lives, we recently moved west for our new chapter in married life.

Things we love about our beautiful neighborhood, Tahquitz River Estates:
- Nice wide roads. Very walkable + a pleasure to go on a leisurely bike ride
- Very little wind compared to the north side of Palm Springs
- No airport noise. The neighborhood is so calm and relaxing
- The houses are beautiful and have tons of charm!
