The host was very interactive. The apartment could have been better. We didnt have hot water and any food that was left out got covered in ants. Also the bed accommodations were not as described. The third bed was advertised as a murphy bed. However it turned out to be a trundle bed that could only support the weight of a small child.

4 of us stayed at this condo for 9 days. The condo was great... Had all of the amenities we needed. We loved the small town that the condo was located in. Loved talking with the locals!! David was super helpful in helping us with our plans! I recommend this place and hope to be back again myself!!

I enjoyed facilitating you and your guests with the little things that I believe make Cabo Rojo a great place to visit. Thank you for taking advantage of Lucy our resident Chef and I quote you: "We loved Lucy and her great cooking and her personality." This means that the 4 typical dishes she prepared within your budget were a success. You also said, "We also enjoyed our time with Splendid 24/7." Splendid is a native of Lajas (20 minutes away) who returned after 30 years of honorable service in the Air Force in California among other places. He is the to go guy for daily snorkeling excursions to the mangroves a mile off shore from La Parguera in Lajas and the resident marine biologist without title for night excursions to the bioluminescent bay in La Parguera. Mrs. Anonymous, please do return again and thank you for leaving the apartment as our administrator described in Spanish, "impecable."

The apartment is very clean and has all the essentials that you need for a beach location. The owner was great to interact with always ready to give you quick responses. Beautiful ocean view and great value for touring SW Puerto Rico

Quiet Costa Del Mar had gated security, located a short drive away from busy (weekends), beautiful Combate beach and restaurants/bars. Condo had great A/C, quality furnishings, very well stocked kitchen/bath amenities/ beach gear with everything you need. Condo is managed thoughtfully and responsive to questions, etc.

Location Location!

As always location can greatly enhance your vacation. Every day during our stay we spent time enjoying the view from the balcony. We watched sailboats, small crafts and jet skis. One day we saw a kayak race. The condo is fully furnished with just about anything you may need including an extensive dvd library for some quiet time. Four of us spent roughly two months here and want to return next year. We highly recommend this “home” away from home.

Best Place in Boqueron

We loved our stay at David’s VRBO property in Costa del Mar. It was exactly as pictures showed and his thoroughness and recommendations where very welcomed a d on point. From restaurants to private beaches. The morning view is fantastic. The compound is very quit and clean. Very impressed with how clean the actual apartment was, and how equipped it was. We are so glad that our foodie, enophile (wine snob), and paletero standards (Beach Tennis) are in sync. Much credit to our administrator Connie and Wife Licelis and daughter Valerie for the pre-entry health protocol and how clean they maintained the 4th Floor Caribbean Ocean view apartment. WONDERFUL PROPERTY

A beautiful apartment in an elegant condominium with a million dollar view! The apartment was VERY comfortable, nicely furnished and intelligently stocked with all the essentials that an International traveler would need. This VRBO host truly is a Primer Host who cares about his property and his guest enjoyment. I recommend this property and I will be staying there again next year, so don't take my dates! Lol

A Wonderful Time!

Stayed over the Easter weekend and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The place was clean, nicely decorated and well equipped. Although the area was packed with people (we learned beach season starts Easter weekend and the host warned us prior to coming), the location was secluded, quiet and relaxing. Host was extremely communicative and stayed in contact throughout our time to make sure everything was going well as well as giving suggestions for places to go and eat. We traveled the entire West side of the island (Boqueron, Mayaguez, San German, Rincon) and saw all the sights. If you’re coming to Puerto Rico, I highly recommend staying here. It’s worth the drive!

We thought this was within walking distance to a beach we could use. Needs upgrades, light bulbs out, no light in guest BR, AC was cold in MBR, not so in guest room--it broke over night and was miserable for our guests. Owners/PropMngmt Co nice.

Private beach 50 meters away is other than public El Combate Beach 4 mins away driving down the hill. Both ACs were inspected by administrator, a license refrigeration technician, and both are still in good working order hours after departure. AC can be too cold overnight when auto play is not used to maintain set temperature (75 degrees) or when settings are lower for expeditious cooling. These appreciated observations reinforces the need to complete detailed orientation with administrator upon arrival. We truly apologize for any inconvenience experienced.

iFantastic apartment. The host communicates well and often, is respectful. If you have any questions about the area he can guide you, as also the property administrator The place had everything clean, it had plenty of towels, toiletries and even some toys for the little ones to play at the beach. We really enjoyed our stay and we couldn't have been happier with how calm and quiet at night was the apartment. It's close by to one of Cabo Rojos' beaches (Combate Beach) Early in the morning you have a view of the ocean waters and a few boats as they skip by and you can see the blue sky as you take your coffee. At night the breeze sways you as the palm trees whisper "welcome to Cabo Rojo". as you sip and evening wine or a rum drink as you look from the balcony. We as guests were happy and have no complaints

Thank you Costa del Mar!

We had a lovely stay at Costa del Mar. The condominium is as shown in the pictures. Although it’s not ultra modern, we quickly felt like we were at home, it was mostly comfortable for us (family of 4 with 2 adults and 2 kids) and clean both on the inside and out. The building is located in a super quiet location that seemed so safe and easy to drive around. The place is stocked with so many different things that came in handy like coolers, kitchenware (including a blender!), all kinds of toiletries, binoculars, chairs to take to the beach, reusable plastic bags for food shopping, and so much more. Unfortunately the pool wasn't so clean but the depth and size was perfect for our kids. My only suggestion, if I may, is to keep different kinds of chargers for cellphones if possible. I'm so grateful for the experience we had here.

Last minute July 4th Outing

We had the pleasure of staying at this property for 3 nights over the 4th of July holiday weekend. We felt particularly privileged since it was a work-related, last-minute trip and were very lucky to find availability at this exclusive property, and to have been accepted. The entire process was flawless from beginning to end. Both the property owner, Mr. Aulet, and the administrator, Connie, were very accommodating and responsive to our questions. Although we were familiar with the area, they provided helpful pointers to simplify our experience: from touring the facilities (thank you, Connie, for taking time from your day to greet us and show us around), to suggestions about restaurants, activities, etc. The apartment is just as advertised: clean, fully stocked, and so many amenities that we wished we had more time to enjoy them (like all kinds of beach gear, washer/dryer, convection oven, satellite cable). Our favorite memory is the balcony. There, you enjoy spectacular views of the Caribbean Sea and the most amazing sunsets. It is such a relaxing spot to enjoy over a glass of wine or a cup of coffee. We also visited the private beach just steps away from the complex; the short strip was perfect for us, and we pretty much had it to ourselves; being a holiday weekend, it was wise to stay away from the crowds at nearby El Combate beach, which is one of the most beautiful beaches in the West. We were also able to squeeze some time to exercise, so the trails next to the complex were a highlight; we enjoyed the views even more, from higher up (just be mindful of the ATVs and cyclists). Lastly, it is important to note that this is a small complex and everyone is conscious of the upkeep of the surroundings and the wellbeing of the residents and short-term renters; we truly appreciated the adherence to the health and safety guidelines stipulated by both, the Dept. of Tourism and the homeowners’ association. Thank you, Mr. Aulet for welcoming us to your home and we look forward, if given the opportunity, to a return visit to Costa del Mar or a new visit to another one of your properties.

Paradise in The Island of Enchantment

What a treat to be able to stay at this gorgeous apartment! My husband and I spent 4 days and 3 nights enjoying everything this fabulous getaway has to offer from its luxurious accommodations to its fantastic views and nearby pristine beaches. Where to begin … first of all the friendliest owner will call you and after a date confirmation will give you information about so many things to do, so many places to visit, eat at, etc. Second, once you arrive, the apartment administrator will take you by the hand and show you all the amenities the apartment and complex have to offer and will be available for you should you need anything. Lovely lady! Forget about the Ritz! We even had beach towels which I’d forgotten to pack! Everything was immaculate and cared for. Even though there’s a gourmet kitchen available we didn’t use it once. For breakfast you must go to Ritamar Bakery. The local bread and coffee are to die for and for dinner there’s nothing like going to a local restaurant and eating freshly caught fish or lobster so why not take advantage of it! Combate beach wasn’t crowded at all and simply gorgeous. Light and soft sand with beautiful turquoise water … we watched the sunset from there every evening. You must visit the Light House. What a view! On the way to it you will see the remains of an old salt processing plant and lots of sand pipers eating away what looks like foam on the edge of the water but it’s salt! You can visit the Dry Forest in Guanica. Puerto Rico is the only American territory that has both a tropical rain forest (El Yunque) and a dry forest. It’s about a 30 minute drive from the apartment. Finally, you must visit La Parguera, Lajas. It’s about a 20 minute drive to the bioluminescent bay. You take a boat ride at night to experience something very unique, micro-organisms that glow in the water and only exist in a few places in the world. Puerto Rico happens to be one of them! I hope you decide to some day visit this paradise. All I know is that going back for us is now a must!

Pristine, secluded waveless beaches to swim. The apartment is proximate to 5 municipal beaches and El Combate Beach is about 2 minutes away driving distance. Use Google map and type Costa Del Mar, Cabo Rojo, and view for yourself the splendor of the most peaceful and breath-taking beaches in the Caribbean nearby. Other beach names in Cabo Rojo are Playa Sucia (Playuela), Buye, Boquerón, and El Tuque. "El Morrillo" lighthouse has a museum open some weekdays just 10 minutes away by car. 10 minutes walking distance to the Cabo Rojo National Wildlife Refuge for bird watchers with miles of walking, jogging or mountain bicycling along unpaved flat trails next to natural desalinification plants on your left, and the Caribbean ocean on your right. This protected land offers a serious challenge to joggers and serious walkers for 3 miles to the lighthouse at Playa Sucia before walking, jogging or mountain biking back to Costa Del Mar.
