Tucked among shady oak trees, our updated 3 bedroom 3 bathroom home is 2 minutes from the charming village of Clayton, antique boat museum, and walking distance to the lovely chateau restaurant.
Large yard and gardens. Outdoor deck for alfresco dining, wood-fired pizza oven, and large covered porch.
Guests enjoy our home's large open plan kitchen/dining/living area with a first-floor primary bedroom with an ensuite bathroom. Two generous bedrooms on the second level, one with an ensuite bathroom.

This home was amazing! Peaceful space with the perfect accommodations for 6 people. Everything we needed and more. Chris, Andrew and Jason were very helpful quick to respond to questions. We look forward to staying here again! Absolutely beautiful.

Shelley and company were exceptional guests! They communicated well and were super respectful of the house! Upon their departure the house was clean and tidy, they even threw the towels in the wash! Would rent to them anytime!

Nice property not a big fan of the cameras over the deck & hot tub.Very well stocked and the owner was quick to deliver some new sponges that had run out.Pizza oven has lots of wood and utensils.Nice big dinning area table.Overall very nice place to hang out for a week.

Thanks so much the four star review. I try my hardest to make sure you’re comfortable and have everything you need. For example, you asked for a new sponge and in less than 30 minutes a pack was delivered. Additionally I checked in with you 5 times over your stay to ensure you had everything you needed, to which you answered all was great! Overall the property, as you said, the property was well stocked and very nice. I disclose that there are cameras outside for security, so shouldn’t be a shock. I always try to provide 5 star service, I’m sorry that it seems to have fallen short.

Perfect getaway

We had a fabulous time. Chris was very accommodating and a wonderful host. His house is tucked away and private with a nice little deck to enjoy. Inside was well maintained, spacious and welcoming. It was only a short drive to Clayton’s downtown. I highly recommend as a perfect home away from home.

Amazing place and amazing host!

First off the property is absolutely amazing. We stayed in the summer time and the greenery and wildlife was amazing. Chris is an amazing host! Great communication from the moment we book. He also checked in on us throughout the trip to see if we needed anything. We can’t wait to come back and see it in the winter time!

Wonderful weekend!

The house was everything we hoped for. There were 6 of us and our stay was great! We were busy out & about & wish we had had more time to relax at the house & enjoy the outdoor spaces. Comfortable, cozy and lovely!

This property had beautifully appointed rooms, comfortable beds, a beautifully equipped kitchen ( we cooked in several times) and lovely outdoor spaces to relax and enjoy. The house has a very private and bucolic setting ….away from the maddening crowds! Easy access to Clayton and Alexandria Bay. The owner was very welcoming and accommodating. Thank you Chris! The time we spent here was wonderful!

Beautiful Getaway

The house is gorgeous and comfortable. Chris is a phenomenal host, easy to communicate with but not intrusive. There were so many lovley touches; a bowl of fruit, fresh flowers, nice espresso maker, drink chiller. The views are beautiful in every direction. We had an amazing view of the river in April. In the summer when the trees are full you may not be able to see the river as well. The beds were very comfortable. The place was clean and smelled amazing. The rooms are well layed out. Each bedroom feels private and welcoming. Lots of great gathering spaces indoors and out. We came for the eclipse but we will be back. We feel like we found a gem.

Beautiful Home

My family and I traveled to Clayton to attend a family wedding. We booked Chris's home for our visit. This was our first time visiting the area. Chris's home is just beautiful and the location was perfect! His home is within a few minutes to downtown Clayton. The setting is truly park like and quiet. We really appreciated Chris's hospitality. He made sure we were comfortable and took time to recommend area restaurants. He even checked in halfway through our stay to make sure all was well. We couldn't have asked for a more hospitable host. I really can't say enough good things about the property either. It was exactly as described in the listing. The furnishings and beds were extremely comfortable and there was nothing additional we would have wanted that was not provided. The home has a very relax feel, was extremely clean and well cared for. If you are looking for a place to stay, I would highly recommend booking this home. Thank you for everything Chris!
