Such a wonderful spot for my family (10 of us) to gather and explore the redwoods. There was plenty of space for all of us to relax and enjoy. The grounds are beautiful! My family thoroughly enjoyed the game room and hot tub after a day of hiking. Trinidad is a very quaint town. Highly recommend!!

Very cool house on a gorgeous piece of property. Most of our time was spent relaxing on the back deck and enjoying the sound of the creek flowing just below us. Definitely worth a visit!

We were a family of four staying for a long weekend (2 adults, teenage son, and adolescent daughter).The great: Spacious - five bedrooms, huge living room, even bigger game room, full kitchen, 2.5.5 baths, laundry room, and lots of outdoor space - plenty of room to spread out!Clean - for having so many rooms, this place was clean, especially the kitchen, bathrooms, and bedroom linens. The outside windows might need a wash, and a few nook and crannies might need dusting, but all the important stuff is clean.Everything worked - this house is well appointed, and everything worked great - all the lights, doors, TVs, remotes, games, radios, stoves, remotes, appliances, grill, hot tub, showers, sinks, plugs - it all workbed. We had everything we needed. Great location - easy to explore Humboldt county, walk to everything in Trinidad, hike to beach, and commune with mother nature in the backyard. The updates: Foosball and pool table need a little TLCFirst floor bedrooms could use full size curtainsSummary: perfect fit for us.

The lodge is lovely and well-appointed. It was very clean. The setting is spectacular, private and yet a short walk to Murphy’s grocery store where you can find anything you need, wonderful local treats, and the best sandwiches! The rest of the town is easily accessible as well. The trail to the beach is a wonderful bonus, where we saw seals, gulls, oystercatchers and other seabirds, starfish, anemones, pelicans and more! The many decks, including a decked walkway into the ravine with sitting areas provided wonderful opportunities to enjoy the spectacular outdoors. Our group of 8 enjoyed the property for a long wedding weekend.

We loved our stay! Beautiful location with walkable places to eat and a grocery store nearby. We loved the layout of the house that offered lots of space and places to relax inside and outside. The path to the beach is fun! It would be difficult for someone with joint issues (but my 81 year old dad managed!) Once you are at the beach it’s a gorgeous location. Very secluded and full of rocks and of course there are seals! I would stay there again and hope to someday soon.

The area is beautiful, beyond words. The house is rustic but had everything we needed. The kitchen was the well stocked with everything we needed to cook our own meals as even the basic, local restaurants are expensive. We used the hot tub which was nice. We didn’t use the guesthouse because it smelt musty (it seemed they tried to cover up the smell with tea grass scent). There were so many trails we could walk in the area. The beach at low tide was a highlight.

Location was great - enjoyed the walk ability of Trinidad. Headies pizza was awesome. The Lighthouse fish and chips was amazing. Highly recommend Fern Canyon and the Tall Trees Trail for hikes. For beaches… for sure do the sunset in Trinidad and we also enjoyed College Cove beach.

This is a spacious property for our two families with lots of things to do at the property (billiards, ping pong, pin ball, hot tub), a path down to the beach (seals, tide pools, cool rocks), and close to the Redwoods parks and other beaches. The host was very friendly and communication was prompt. We would definitely come back.

The house is funky and fun in the best possible way! The pellet stove did a great job at keeping us warm and dry during record rainfall. The views on the forest were nice and the ocean view was just a stroll away. Having Murphys Market and the Eatery a short walk away was very convenient - Trinidad has a lot to offer - and being able to walk was really nice.

The location was excellent, right in town, easy to walk places. The rooms were nice, clean, bed linens were warm and comfortable. The house is a bit rustic, and a little cold in the foyer. But the game room was fun. How tub was great, and the outdoor shower got hot right away. Overall, we had a great stay. The driveway was a bit sketchy though in a sedan or a lower riding vehicle. Better for an suv or truck. I would stay there again.

Hello….we had a great time and love the house. A couple of things we wanted to make you aware of…the toilet seat in the downstairs bathroom is broken and the heater in the outside cottage will not shut off. Other than that another good stay at your house.

Another Great Family Stay

This was the second time renting this place for a family get together. We enjoy the close to town but secluded location. We love the beach access and tranquil creek sounds. It makes for a great location for our large family. One of our favorite places to stay on the north coast.
