Welcome to Sweet Nell's cozy cottage in the heart of Hocking Hills. This property offers excellent privacy and the necessary amenities that ensures a comfortable and enjoyable stay. Old Man's Cave and other state parks are approximately a 20-30 minute drive from the cottage. Also, if you need supplies, or wish to do some shopping, Lancaster, Logan or Laurelville are within a 15-30 minute drive of the property.

Beautiful and quiet stay

We got rained out of hiking for one day but it was okay, the cottage felt private and spacious enough for a family of four. We watched movies and relaxed while the weather was bad and it was perfectly cozy.

Wonderful property

We really enjoyed our stay. The home was very nice. It was immaculately clean and stocked better than anywhere else we have ever stayed. Check in and out could not have been easier. Beautiful private back yard and close to all Hocking Hills! We would highly recommend a stay here!

Great Property, location, and owners!

We really enjoyed our stay. The property and setting are very beautiful, relaxing, and peaceful. We enjoyed the hot tub (very clean) and outdoor fire pit, there is also a nice outdoor grill. There were more than enough dishes, glasses, appliances, silverware, and “extras” in the kitchen, and plenty of towels! Very close to the many Hocking Hills popular hiking trails, we would stay here again and recommend to others. The owners are extremely nice.

The BEST before back to school vacation!

The cottage / yard was even better than the pictures! You can really tell the love and care thats put into everything. It was all so homey and comfortable you could really relax and just have fun. Our dog loved having the space to run and our kids were full of laughs all weekend. This was the perfect place to make some memories before our kids went back to school. We would LOVE to stay again!

What a delight!

We wanted a cozy place to stay that offered land for our dog to roam, and that’s exactly what we found. Having easy access to all of the attractions in Hocking Hills was such a bonus; we didn’t have to go far to explore all of the beautiful trails. An early start on a full day of hiking with our pup, then back to an inviting hot tub, a nice dinner easily made with all the great features of the kitchen, then onto a wonderful fire under the stars. This stay was absolutely perfect! We hope to travel back to Hocking Hills next spring to see the falls in full force; we’d be so happy to stay here again. Thank you for adding to such a memorable weekend!

Great cottage, great location

My son and I were looking for a extended weekend retreat that had ample private property for us to relax and to let our dog run without distractions. This cottage was perfect. It sits on a private property with a large cleared yard surrounded by trees. The cottage was very clean and had a welcoming feel. The kitchen is very nice and we had no issues preparing meals while we stayed. The fire pit has a grilling grate attachment and my son enjoyed cooking burgers over the open flame. The hot tub was also quite nice and felt good relaxing in after our day hikes in Hocking Hills. We had a great stay and would stay there again.

The cottage was very cute and had nice new appliances in it. It was only a one night stay for us for my 40th birthday celebration with a couple friends. I chose the cottage mostly for the hot tub so was disappointed in that, it had too many chemicals in it or something and we only stayed in for about 15 minutes because all three of us were itching. We also encountered a lot of lady bugs in one of the bedrooms so many that one of my friends didn't want to sleep in the room. Overall the cottage is nice but I don't think I will be a repeat visitor based on my experience especially with the price I paid.

Location was great - central to various Hocking Hills hikes. House was clean overall and a good space for a family of four. Yard and fire pit was great. Hot tub was not the best and kitchen could have used a few more basics like some aluminum foil and some organization.Would definitely consider staying again for a trip to Hocking Hills.

Sweet Nell's Cottage is in a great location!! close to attractions such as tubing and fishing. Nell's is beautiful inside and out and comes complete with all the comforts of home. I would highly recommend Sweet Nell's for a large family with kids and dogs because the property is so large!

Great cottage in a great location

Cottage was as described online. Check in and out were easy. Received a text the day we arrived to ask if anything was needed. We did not need anything but it was nice to have a number in case we did. Place was very clean and provided everything that you would expect to be in a rental and then some. There were k cups and creamer, which was nice. There were also plenty of games. We played jenga , uno and yatzy. I would definitely stay here again.

Wonderful stay

Sweet Nell’s was a great place to stay for the week during the winter. The gas fireplace was a nice touch especially in the cold winter, although the upstairs stays very warm most of the time each room having their own heat controlled base boards. Additionally, it was very nice to have a dishwasher, washer, and dryer
extremely convenient and easy for packing and unpacking from start to finish. The hot tub was awesome (an awning or some sort of coverage over it would be nicer when it is raining or any weather is coming down). One downside is that there were a lot of bugs that somehow entered the house before we got there and while we were there.

Peaceful, thoughtful, charming, and green space to roam!

We just loved this little place. The only thing I wish I would have known is that there is no cell service at the property, so look up your check-in info BEFORE arrival. The location is so quiet and the yard so large we were not at all worried to let the dog and kids play freely. Very easy driving distance to all the HH trails we wanted to do. We would totally stay here again!

Nice hideaway

The cottage was tucked away nicely in the hills. Very quiet and secluded on a scenic country road. Plenty of room for our dogs to run. My only complaint would be that the grill wasn’t working. Everything else was perfect! Plan on revisiting later in the Fall of 2023.
