The Waikiki Sunset has long been a favorite of savvy vacationers who enjoy the best of both worlds!

This elegant condominium hotel resort located at 229 Paoakalani Avenue in Waikiki offers hotel-quality amenities and is perfect for your anniversary, honeymoon, or family getaway! From this convenient location, you can stroll to Waikiki’s finest beaches, enjoy great shopping and restaurants, visit the Zoo, Aquarium, or relax in the lush green spaces of Kapi’olani Park.
This one-bedroom condo has a full kitchen, large bathroom, high-speed WiFi, and televisions—a 65-inch TV in the living room and a 40-inch TV in the bedroom. From your private lanai, you can gaze out over the city and mountains during the day, and watch the vibrant city lights of Honolulu come alive at night.

The sleeping arrangements are very convenient with a comfortable king bed in the private bedroom, and a sofa sleeper with an additional foldable mattress in the living room.

Waikiki Sunset amenities include a heated swimming pool, fitness room, and outdoor picnic area with barbecue grills. There is also an on-site convenience store for last-minute necessities, 24-hour security, and an activities desk to help plan your island adventures.

You get exactly what they say in the description. It was clean and well-appointed with all the comforts of home. I was worried about the distance from the beach, but it's less than a 10min walk. The pool is fun for a change of pace. It was clean, 2 adults and 2 kids fit very comfortably. Loved the kitchen, saved a ton of money. The parking was pretty easy, but remember your ticket. They will not let you leave without it.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Beautiful Mountain/City View

We loved our stay here because of beautiful view from the 32nd floor. It was a great location which was in walking distance to Waikiki beach, the zoo, and many great restaurants. Having parking included was also a big bonus! We will definitely be staying here again in the future.

Great location and great service

Excellant Get Away

We stayed here for a week and really enjoyed this place. The location is close to the beach, but far enough off the main strip ( 2 Blks) so you dont have to deal with the noise. Ease of onsite parking was a big plus. Close to all of the local attractions. The mountain view from the rooms is fabulous! Would stay here again anytime!

Great place!

This property was absolutely perfect for our needs. The condo was gorgeous, clean, comfortable, and had everything you would need for your stay. The location is great as well -- a couple blocks off the the main strip on Waikiki, so it's nice and quiet, but it's also a quick and easy walk over to the beach, shops, restaurants, etc. The view of the city and mountains was gorgeous as well. Highly recommend this place!

Comfortable and Convenient with Free Parking

Condo as described - clean and perfect for a couple. Location good for visiting family that live in Hawaii Kai. It is a short walk to the beach. Only con were the elevators - 2 were not working at times and wait time was long.

It was perfect for what we needed. We were visiting our daughter so we were gone most of the time. Very clean and good location. We wanted to be by Diamondhead to avoid traffic.

Great location, amenities and value!

Stayed for five nights with my best friend. The apartment has fabulous mountain views and a very slight ocean view. Can't beat the lanai sitting and the AC worked prefect too. Great beach amenities - the chairs and cooler and ice packs were great! Coffee maker & toaster worked great. My only MINOR complaint is the bed is VERY solid. I ended up sleeping on the couch bed as it was better for me. We needed an extra blanket and property management was quick to deliver.Just a five minute walk to Waikiki beach - we felt spoiled! ABC stores have anything you need easily or the grocery store wasn't far away.10/10 would recommend this property!

Beautiful Vacation Condo

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I’m a regular at Waikiki and this condo was the most beautiful and cleanest place I’ve stayed at. Breathtaking views, luxurious bed with the smell of fresh linens, convenience to the beach, wonderful pool and bbq access, this condo has it all! Would definitely stay here again on our next visit. Highly recommend !

Perfect spot for Wakiki Beach

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: 32nd floor with amazing views. The rental was clean and had all the needed amenities, including a kettle for tea. AC worked well and the king-sized bed was comfortably firm. 5/5 would recommend/return.

Very clean property, good layout of kitchen & bathroom, and addl sofabed & floor mattress. Great view of city from above, nice breeze. Would be nice to have some common spice & condiments in the kitchen. Takes too long for an elevator.

Wonderful Stay in Room 3211

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The room was very comfortable; spacious, clean, quiet, with great amenities. There is a laundry room on the floor which we made use of. The location was easy to access via car from Kapahulu Ave and Ala Wai Blvd. Ample parking which was included in the rental. The beach and restaurants were easy to walk to. We would love to stay again.

Great location and property free parking!Nice view from 32nd floor!Overall, we appreciated the stay, but there are a few things future guests might want to know:The front door was quite difficult to open; my wife especially had trouble with it.There is no dishwasher, so be prepared to spend some time washing dishes by hand.The provided pans made cooking a bit challenging since everything tended to stick to them.The washing machine and dryer are located right behind the bedroom wall, and you can clearly hear them when they’re running.Essential beach equipment was available, which was great, but the beach umbrella was partially broken.

We'll have our maintenance team address the difficult front door immediately to ensure easier access for all guests, and we'll look into replacing the cookware to provide better non-stick options for cooking. Regarding the broken beach umbrella, that was actually left by previous guests and not part of our provided amenities - we'll have it removed to avoid any confusion for future guests.
