The First floor includes the Luxury Retreat Room. This cozy, romantic primary suite includes a picturesque view of Roatan Island’s Second Bight and Caribbean Sea through a large picturesque window. The room includes a walk-in closet with built in shelves and drawers. The primary suite bathroom includes double sinks, a bathtub and a luxury shower big enough for two.

The Second floor guests will also enjoy their room with even better breathtaking views. The romantic Queen’s Overlook Room, features a stunning vaulted Honduran wood ceiling with views of rolling Roatan hills, gardens and turquoise waters with windows on three sides of the room. You will have the feeling of being in a treehouse in the Caribbean Sea Jungle. Just outside this room, guests will find a private balcony with garden and untouched hilly forests. You will also be able to view Roatan’s famous Cupola high on the hill.

The second room on the second floor includes two queen beds with equally stunning views of Roatan’s Second Bight and Caribbean Sea. Guest on this second floor will share a full bathroom.

The rooftop terrace is “the place to be” in the home. Guests will enjoy the warm tropical breezes while relaxing at the outdoor dining table, relaxing in the hanging hammock chair, sunning on the lounge chairs or catching a nap on the outdoor bed.

Things to consider before booking:

First: Guests should be aware of the security protocol before booking. The security protocol for entry into Parrot Tree is the following:

- The security guard will take a picture of your drivers license and the vehicle license plate
- This will happen every time you come back into Parrot Tree
- This process can be inconvenient so we want to make sure all guests are aware before booking.

Second: At no time can any vehicle be parked on the road when you are at the house. The road is very narrow and the home owner will be fined if any vehicle that is left on the road. All vehicles can be parked in the garage under the home, or along the side of the house (off of the street) at the garage entrance. The maximum number of vehicles that can be parked at the home is two: one in the garage and one next to the garage alongside the house. If your group has more than to vehicles, there is parking at the marina. Adam can help you locate the marina. The garage is located under the home. If you need help parking your vehicle you can contact the property manager. Please also note, the garage is suitable for a small or mid-sized vehicle only and the parking areas next to garage is very narrow and is suitable for a small or mid-sized car only. Some guest have found parking in the garage to be challenging since entry into the garage requires the navigation of slopes while turning. Again, our property manager can help with parking in the garage if necessary.

Other things to note

Our property manager will have a wifi hotspot in the home. When you arrive, the hotspot will have 25Gbit of data available at no charge to you. If you decide you want more data, please contact the property manager. The cost to you will be $9 per 25Gig.

The wifi works very well in the room where the hot spot is located, which is near the TV. Since the house is made of concrete the wifi signal from the hotspot does not travel well to all rooms in the home.

Pool Information:

Parrot Tree does have a large in ground community pool in the development. It is about a ten minute walk from the hill-side home and about a two to three minute car ride. The pool is one of the largest pools on the island and the landscaping and vegetation are maintained, however the pool needs some repairs, but it is operational. If you are planning to visit the pool, please be aware that there is no life guard on duty and while the pool water is treated, the pumps are usually operated between sunrise and around 1pm each day. Guests will notice the pool tiles are starting to detach from the pool surface and the community is looking into options to repair the pool. Also, guests will notice the pool is often very lightly attended. If you visit the pool you may encounter a few guests or you may have the pool completely to yourself. Some guests prefer the seclusion the pool offers while other may prefer a more active setting offered by a fully operational resort. As noted previously, Parrot Tree is not currently a fully functioning, or fully operational resort. Also, if you do plan to visit the pool, please remember to bring bug spray to help your visit to be more enjoyable. The proximity to the beach and variation of trade winds can impact the level of insects.


Parrot Tree is also a short distance from a number of animal sanctuaries, where you can feed and hold Sloth bears!

Immigration Documentation:
In order to visit the island, all citizens are required to fill out the Honduran immigration forms on-line.

Important Note:
In order to gain access to the home in Parrot Tree Honduras, you will need to provide the names of each of the guests that will be staying at the home. The home is located inside of Parrot Tree and the security guards will only allow entry for home owners and registered guests. If you decide to make a reservation, please be sure to send the name for each guest to the property owner as soon as you can. Otherwise you will not be able to access the property!
