Dieses neu renovierte Haus liegt auf einer Anhöhe und bietet einen schönen Blick auf den Teich und den Hafen sowie eine große umlaufende Veranda, auf der Sie wunderschöne Sonnenuntergänge genießen können.

Neu renoviertes, sonnendurchflutetes Hauptschlafzimmer mit Queensize-Bett und Fensterbox zum Lesen und Genießen der malerischen BI-Aussicht. Brandneues Badezimmer aus dem Hauptschlafzimmer mit Spa-Dusche. Zwei weitere Schlafzimmer (1 Queen, 2 Twin) mit Blick auf das Wasser. Das Erdgeschoss verfügt über eine große Wohnküche, ein Vollbad, ein Wohnzimmer und ein Fernsehzimmer. Großer Garten und ein Teich am Rande des Grundstücks. In der Nähe vieler Annehmlichkeiten wie Strände, Restaurants, Angeln, Wandern, Shopping & Yachthäfen. Diese Unterkunft befindet sich in der Champlin Road 908. In der Block Island Times. On Block Island for a wedding with family. The house was perfect. Great location and had everything we needed. Check in and out was a breeze the host was super accessible and accommodating. We would definitely stay again

Sweet Retreat nice place to stay

Very clean, ideal spot only minutes from the ferry area on Block Island. Great views. Would definitely stay there again. Owner and property manager great to deal with.

Wonderful experience!

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the SWEET RETREAT. The location was perfect - close to The Oar and Champlains. Kitchen was well equipped and the rooms are well decorated. Neighborhood chickens roamed the yard which was absolutely adorable. There was a water view in nearly every window. Check in / out process was very easy. Would love to stay again!

Perfect getaway

This property is fantastic. The house is spacious with beautiful views from the porch. The kitchen was nicely stocked with supplies to cook meals. The house is located in a perfect location, within a quiet little stretch of the island and walkable or bike-able to pretty much everything. Karen and Glen were also extremely kind and easy to communicate with. We can’t wait to stay here again!

Sweet retreat is a wonderful stay!

Two couples rented sweet retreat for half a week. The place is cozy and well decorated. It was clean and comfortable. It’s quiet but close enough to town to walk. We did bring a car and that is helpful. And there is a wonderful cow Sassy who loves to come eat Karen’s apple trees! She is a riot. Hoping we can rent again. This one is a gem.

Wonderful place .... clean and nicely decorated.

My only suggestion....taking the garbage to the transfer station was not ideal for us ..... we never bring our car to the island. I would have happily paid a garbage fee. Otherwise we had an excellent time ♥️. loved walking to the beach that wasn't filled with people. Peaceful 🙏

Wedding weekend at the Sweet

The property is located near the center of the island over looking New Harbor. During the evening hours sitting on the front porch enjoying a glass of wine or coffee early in the morning what an outstanding view of New Harbor. The house accomodated our family of 6 adults without issues. You can tell that homeowners takes pride in the condition of this cottage. Clean and well maintained. Upon walking into the kitchen, its modern, fully stocked and immaculate. If you drink coffee and use a kureg, bring you own. There is a drip coffee and filters were supplied. Two full size bathrooms, and 3 bedrooms. The house is only about 1 1/2 miles from New Shoreham where the ferry docks. I've rented other homes on Block, this by far is well worth the price. There is several restaurants within walking distance of the house, along with Payne's Donuts. OMG worth the wait. DD has nothing on Payne's. If and when we are back, this will be our first look at renting, hoping it's available. I also own a house that I rent short term in the Adirondacks, so I'm kind of pictucular when I right a review. Sweet Retreat, well worth the stay.

Lovely spot and good family meeting place

We just stayed in the Sweet Retreat for a week. Our group included 6 adults — my husband and myself, our two grown daughters and their partners. It was excellent - with a great big kitchen for family dinners and beautiful green grass and view of water. Highly recommend coming here!

Peaceful and bright

My husband, 4 year old son, and I stayed at the Sweet Retreat over the Labor Day long weekend. We had the loveliest time. Karen was very responsible and communicated with us before and during our stay whenever we had questions. The house itself is in a great location close to the new harbor and within walking distance to restaurants, park for children, and activities like bike/moped/kayak rental. The house was very clean and let in lots of natural light throughout the house. We especially loved the outdoor space where my son spent every morning and evening playing ball, frisbee or soccer with us. We loved walking to the pond out back and tossing stones or staring at the gorgeous view. We will definitely be back!

Great stay!

Karen and Glenn are excellent hosts - super responsive and attentive to our needs. Upstairs bedroom and bathroom have been renovated beautifully. The location of this house is great for those looking to enjoy walks in the morning and close proximity to town.

Great Vacation!

We loved our stay at the Sweet Retreat! The house was the perfect size for our group of 8, having the outdoor shower was a huge bonus. Watching the sun come up over the ocean and set over the pond was beautiful. When at the home we spent most of our time on the front porch. The house is just a a short drive into town, we were happy to have our cars. As we left, we all agreed we wanted to come back again next summer!

Great House, Great Location!

This was our second year renting this property and we absolutely loved it It's the perfect location, away from the crowds but walkable to our favorite restaurants. The beach at the end of the road provides amazing sunsets.

Very Sweet

I rented the Sweet Retreat with my family and my sister’s family, Four adults and three teens. The cottage fit us comfortably. The outdoor shower was terrific! Location was convenient we walked to BI Oyster grill for dinner and to Payne’s killer donuts in the mornings. Master bedroom was spacious. Ceiling fan and large windows kept the breeze blowing thru the house. Our sons enjoyed the pond behind the house for looking at turtles. There is a snapping turtle in there so watch for him. Karen called to check on things which was nice. The front porch w/ views was great and worked well for morning coffees, pm cocktails and reading. Overall we were very pleased!

Super Sweet Retreat!

You will not be disappointed! This was our first time staying on Block Island and this vacation rental was perfect! Karen and Glen are extremely hospitable and easy to communicate with. The house was clean with a lot of charm, we felt right at home. We had all kitchen amenities needed for cooking and grilling the nights we stayed in. We enjoyed the beautiful views from the spacious front porch and gazed at the stars at night on their wrap around porch. This spot is perfect to relax but also be close enough to fishing, the beach, clamming and the Island Main Street and Night life. We took in lunch and drinks at the Springhouse Inn which is a short drive or bike ride from the house. We rented mopeds and were able to see the island close up and personal. We also hiked trails along the beach. It was a great vacation and a great place to rent, we will definitely return!

Year after year.. a GREAT vacation spot!

What a great find a few years ago.. I found this house on the VRBO and it was meant as a christmas gift to my family one year. We can't stop coming back year after year now! The owners are SO friendly! The house has everything you need in it for a great vacation! The perfect deck and rocking chairs for cheese and wine in the afternoon after taking in the day at the beach! The den with the glass door is perfect for when the kids wake up early and don't want to wake everyone else up. There is plenty of things to do so close to house; fishing at the coast guard beach, hanging out by the ponds at the property, walking to "Secret Beach", Shellfishing in the Great salt pond! The kitchen is well equipped for when we come home with our fresh caught fish and clams for clam chowder.. but we always save room for smores on the grill! ;-) Best week of the year.. every year! LOVE IT HERE!

And sweet it was!

My family enjoyed a wonderful week at Sweet's home where we were afforded all the comforts of home. The bright kitchen was well equipped and the beds were very comfortable. There a was a private outside hot water shower which came in very handy washing off sand after a day at the beach. The setting of this home was lovely. It sat on a little hill, and from the kitchen windows and side porch we could look down on a small well tended vineyard. Also located in the back yard, is a small pond where our kids spent time catching and releasing fish.One of the best features of the home is the large front porch with ocean views and a connecting side porch for eating. We spent hours rocking or sitting and eating on the porches. We will definitely be booking again next year. We did not want to leave.
