Our host Barry was honest and responsive, the room comfy and clean. The staff here were very friendly yet inattentive. We received no instructions or information upon arrival aside from how to open the door and how to get to the door. We had to wander all over the various buildings on the property to figure out where everything was, found the gym on day two. the gym does not open until 8 and it’s not self access :(. The resort was under heavy construction around the pool area and not what we were expecting from the pictures nor ever mentioned prior to our arrival, the construction fencing is an eyesore and blocks the view from the pool area. The taco bar was disgusting and swarming with flys, service poor, food inedible for my wife, so was her drink. There was no coffee in the room! one single serve of coffee in the room that was broke and unusable.They do not have lobby coffee until 6am, not good when up at 4:30am. Went for a walk on the beach in the late afternoon and was hassled by venders and drug dealers every 100 yards. Guys are selling cocan at the base of the stairs with security watching them, they will first ask if you want cigars, wed, then coke while the other guy wants to sell you jewelry. This was consistent up the entire beach and around the marina. We will return to Mexico cause the surfing is incredible but will not stay at this location or in this town again. I respect the hustle but they need to tone it down a bit and stop harassing tourists, not cool.
