Good day. Thank you for your review, although much of it was factually incorrect. Every issue you mentioned was remedied within hours of us being made aware of the problem, except for the hot tub. The only reason for the delay there was because we had to order the part, as it was not in stock on island. That part has since come in and the hot tub is up and running. The internet was corrected the same day, within hours of us being notified. We called the service provider and had them do a hard reset, which remedied the problem. The hot water was out in 2 of the 4 bathrooms the first night only. You made us aware of the issue the following morning and we had a plumber there to solve the problem that same day. Both of the door handles you mentioned were fixed the same day, and a brand new handle was installed in the cottage so there was no reason to feel unsafe. A brand new garbage disposal was purchased and installed the day after we were made aware of that issue. The plumber went up that same day, accessed the problem, went to purchase a new disposal, then installed it the following day. Unfortunately, with the humid climate here and the salt air , things do break a little more frequently. However, we respond as soon as we are made aware of the problem. As far as not being able to use the cottage because it wasn't set up, it is possible that things were transported by previous guests from the cottage to the house. However, we did bring new towels and new pots and pans when you made us aware. It was set up other than that; bed, futon, bathroom, and full kitchen. For your inconveniences, we gave you a $200 gift card to one of the best restaurants on island. We were a little shocked afterwards when you told us you had expected us to cover the entire bill for your dinner party of 8 people. We never offered a total complimentary dinner. I personally came to the property to apologize for the inconvenience and offered a $200 gift card. At that point, you said that was awesome and thanked me. In addition, we credited your VRBO account an additional $250. We believe that this negative review is a direct response to us refusing your request for a $5000.00 credit from us through VRBO. While there were a few minor issues, we corrected them as soon as we were made aware and credited you for the minor inconveniences.
