The Little Hayloft - Clean & Bright One Bedroom Loft in Honesdale, PA

The Little Hayloft is a newly renovated small one-bedroom apartment in the heart of downtown historic Honesdale. It was actually once a hayloft above a three-horse stable before the invention of automobiles! Just a few blocks from Main Street Honesdale and walking distance to the historic heart of Honesdale, you will find plenty of great food and drink, shopping, art and antiques and much more charm that the little town of Honesdale, PA has to offer!

The Little Hayloft has an exterior staircase which leads up to a small porch where the entrance door is. There is a screen door and entry door with a keypad deadbolt lock.
When you enter, you step into the living room area. We have a couch with a recliner chair, a coffee and side table and a 42” TV with a Roku streaming remote.
In the kitchen is are full size appliances: fridge/freezer, stove, and microwave. The sink is a single deep basin sink. We have plates, bowls, glasses (for water, beer, wine etc.). There are ice trays in the freezer and a Brita water filter. We are one of the few properties with a well so the water is good to drink from the faucet, but there is a Brita pitcher available if you would like to use it. There are pots and pans, baking dishes and essentials like silverware, ice cream scooper and pizza cutter. We also have a blender, toaster and small toaster oven tucked away but available for use. Coffee is provided, you can use the Keurig with K-cups, or we have ground coffee and a French press in the cupboard. We also provide creamer, half and half and several sugar/sugar substitute options. There is a medium sized table to seat two for dining or playing cards.
There is a locked pantry in the kitchen for host supplies. In the hallway is a small closet with a new all-in-one combination washing machine/dryer laundry machine. Instructions are located with the machine. There is detergent available. Please use our detergent choices as we want to avoid strong scents from bothering future guests. There is also a vacuum, Swiffer and broom (if needed).
The bedroom has a queen size 14” highly rated mattress with Egyptian cotton sheets and cozy bedcovers. There is extra bedding and bath towels in the bedroom closet if needed during your stay. There is a 32” TV with a Roku streaming remote over a large dresser and a dedicated workstation in the bedroom corner with a dimmable lamp and an additional extension cord for easy plug in of your laptop/cell phone. Next to the bed is a nightstand with an alarm clock/sound machine so you can play white noise/fan noise/ocean sounds/etc. to help you sleep while away from home. There is a ceiling fan in the bedroom and the living room. In the warmer months (May through October) there are air conditioners provided in the living room and bedroom too. There is also a compact ironing board and iron in the bedroom closet and s full length mirror hung on the bedroom wall.
The bathroom has a full size bathtub/shower combo, good lighting, a toilet and a vanity with room for your toiletries. Soap, shampoo and conditioner is provided. Bath towels, hand towels, wash cloths and grey makeup towels are also provided. We have a blow dryer too. Rest easy if you forgot something while you packed.
Almost all interior lights are on dimmers. There is also an outdoor porch light, feel free to turn it on before you go out.
There is a doorbell camera by the front door to monitor the property/weather conditions and if you need to communicate with the host beyond calling/texting. We have free easy off street parking for up to two cars right next to the entry stairs. There is also free parking on the street except during a declared snow emergency. Two vehicles have to park front to back, so if you have two very long vehicles, they may not fit and one may need to park on the street. In the event of a declared snow emergency, we will ensure that two vehicles can park off street.
