In der Originalschnitt Kiawah in einer ruhigen Straße mit einem schönen Blick auf das Meer gelegen erwartet Sie dieses geräumige fünf Schlafzimmer, drei Badezimmer zu Hause. Freshfields, dem Straw Market und alle Insel Einrichtungen sind nur einen kurzen Spaziergang oder eine Radtour entfernt. Der Zugang zum Meer ist direkt gegenüber dem Haus.

Dies ist ein großes Waldgrundstück, das sichert zu anderen stark bewaldeten viel, mit verschiedenen Wildtieren (Hirsche, Waschbären, etc.) in den Hinterhof. Das gemütlich eingerichtete Haus verfügt über ein Kingsize-Schlafzimmer, zwei Queen-Schlafzimmer, und zwei Schlafzimmer mit zwei Einzelbetten. Die King- und Queen-Schlafzimmer befinden sich auf der Vorderseite mit eingeschränktem Meerblick (derzeit ist ein Haus abgerissen und es gibt einen erweiterten Meerblick). Alle Betten verfügen über neue, luxuriöse Matratzen. Ein Wohnzimmer mit einem Kamin und einem 55-Zoll-Flachbild-TV öffnet sich zu einer abgeschirmten Veranda vor dem Wohnzimmer und dem Esszimmer mit einem Charleston Forge-Esstisch, Stühlen und Eckregalen. Angrenzend an den Speisesaal befindet sich ein verglaster Wintergarten mit einem 48-Zoll-Flachbildfernseher, einem Essbereich (einem Glastisch mit vier Stühlen) und Sitzmöglichkeiten mit Blick auf das Meer. Dieses Zimmer öffnet sich zu einer geräumigen, abgeschirmten Veranda mit einem bequemen Sitzbereich an einem Ende und einer Essgruppe für sechs Personen am anderen Ende und 2 Deckenventilatoren für Komfort sowie einem Edelstahl-Gourmet-Grill auf einem Betonbereich vor der Veranda eine Außendusche.

Die Küche hat ein komplettes Facelift mit schönen neuen Schränken, Granitplatten und dekorativem Fliesenspiegel. Es ist komplett mit Edelstahl gehobene Geräte, Töpfen und Pfannen ausgestattet, um für eine Menge zu kochen. Es gibt viele kleine Geräte und Ausrüstung, um die Arbeit zu erleichtern. Ein Hochstuhl und Reisebett sind in dem Haus. Das Haus ist zentral beheizt und gekühlt. Zwei Flachbildfernseher (55 "im Wohnzimmer und 48" in Wintergarten) mit Digitalkabel, zwei DVD-Blu-Ray-Player sind vorhanden. Das Haus ist auch mit einer drahtlosen Internetverbindung ausgestattet.

HomeAway verlangt eine Anzahlung von etwa der Hälfte, um das Haus zu reservieren. Der Restbetrag ist ca. einen Monat vor Ihrer Ankunft erforderlich. Sommerferienunterkünfte liegen ab 04.00 Sonntag bis 11.00 Uhr Sonntag.

I am sorry that you found our home to be dark and dirty. We do not allow cats and none of us have cats. We have never had a review like this. This is one of the original homes on the Island with native paneling throughout. There are many photos on the VRBO website that clearly show the style. We get great reviews and many repeat renters-some as long as 30 years. We also have an excellent cleaning service. My husband and I were there before you so I know the house was not dirty. Thank you for choosing our home.

Perfect Kiawah family vacation!

Our family has vacationed many summers at Kiawah and this home and location was the best! A short walk down the driveway leads to the boardwalk to the beach - so convenient for our young grandchildren. This home is located on a deadend street, part of the original development of Kiawah. It has the old charm ambience along with many updated conveniences. The kitchen had everything needed to cook for a large family gathering. Meda, the owner, was wonderful to work with, too, making us feel like family. Kiawah is a magical place!

We had a great four or five days on Kiawah at this house! Meda was fantastic with communication before, during, and after our stay... we had no problems with the house at all. The house is exactly as listed. The house is a bit older than average, a bit dark on the inside, but is clean and has everything family might need for an enjoyable trip… Again, no false advertising for sure. The location is unbelievable. Directly across from the boardwalk to a great beach on Kiawah! And dog friendly with Giant back yard! It’s appropriately priced. We will be back!

Great Rental!

Our family of 4 stayed at this ranch during Christmas and really enjoyed ourselves. The house is in a great location right across the street from beach access and everything was in working order (including the gas grill). The kids loved having their own bedrooms and it was nice that you could close a door leading to 3 of the bedrooms, so they could have quiet while we watched the morning news. The only hiccup (and the reason for only 4 stars) was that the house was not ready upon our arrival (a snafu with the cleaning folks); however, we went to the Village and enjoyed some appetizers and walking around to see the sights. The owners did offer a later check-out as a result of the snafu; however, we had to leave early to meet friends for lunch in Charleston and could not take advantage of the offer. The owners were great to deal with and very responsive. I certainly recommend this house if you are looking for a relaxing break and hope that we can stay again. Happy New Year!!!

We are glad that you enjoyed your stay at our home. I was as stunned as you when the house was not ready. In the 32 years we have owned the home, this was a first for us. We have only used this cleaning service for about 8 months and they have always been prompt. It appears they got confused with their holiday schedule and I don't think it will happen again.

Good house close to the beach

When we were looking for a place for our trip, we wanted something close to the beach at a reasonable price. This fit the bill and glad we booked it, just across the street and over the boardwalk is the beach which is great if you only have a short time to beach that day or not lugging your stuff too far. The house is in good shape and clean. The kitchen is fully stocked with all appliances and pots/pans/etc. laundry works great. Beds were comfy enough (they aren’t ever like sleeping at home are they?), though I should have brought a pillow with me, the ones there were a little hard for my liking. The two screened porches are nice but it was super hot when we were there so didn’t use them a whole lot. There is a very small beach view but it’s kind of looking out one of the the windows in a certain way saying “hey there’s the beach” and that’s about it. The only negative really is as others have commented on it is relatively dark in most of the rooms, even with all the lights on. . Aside from that we were pleased with the house and the island and wouldn’t hesitate to rent it again.

Very much enjoyed our stay

My wife and I stayed here in September 2014. Just now getting around to sending out our appreciation for the wonderful time we had. As with the other reviews, we found the home well-stocked with kitchen amenities. We've stayed in a number of vacation rentals and this house has more than you can imagine for kitchen supplies. The convenience to the beach walkway right across the road on this very quiet cul-de-sac is a plus. We rented bicycles from one of the recommended businesses, had them delivered that morning, and picked up on our way out. We rode all over the place, including way up the beach and back. Deer roamed the yard on several occasions, and our dogs enjoyed their time at the beach. The owner was more than accommodating for our every need and questions. A gas grill out back is available for outdoor cooking, TVs in two locations, convenient bathrooms side-by-side for guests (which we had for two days), and an added bonus of having the local paper, the Charleston Post & Courier, delivered each day (BTW, this paper just won the top Pulitzer for 2015!)...this is a great vacation destination. Great home for a large family group

This spacious home was perfect for the needs of our multi-generational family group. It's location across the street from the beach provided easy access for small children and those of us who enjoy biking and walking on the beach. The house was very clean with updated bathrooms and kitchen. The bedrooms and living area are a little dated with knotty pine walls which make the rooms dark. The living room in particular could use more light. However the kitchen is by far the best equipped kitchen I have ever seen in a rental property! The numerous appliances, pots and pans, dishes and glassware are top quality and include items that you would not expect, like a slow cooker. One of the bathrooms had a walk in shower which was perfect for my 93 year old mother. Also the beds were low enough that she did not need a step stool to get into bed which can be a problem when we are traveling. The owner was very nice and extremely responsive. We would definitely consider renting this property again. We felt that the rental price was very reasonable considering the location, size, and amenities of the property.

I am so glad you enjoyed our home and that it worked for all your generations of family. We have tried to maintain the old character of the home with the cypress paneling that was originally logged from the Island back in the 50's and 60's. There are 3 and 4 light ceiling fans and multiple lamps in all the rooms to help with the issues of wood paneling. The bathrooms, kitchen, and sunroom are all painted white. It is a great "beach house." We hope to see you again soon.

Perfect home in Kiawah!

Everything about our vacation at this wonderful home was absolutely perfect. It's hard to put in words what a great choice this house is, but I'll try. There are five large bedrooms...not shrimpy ones where you can't even set down a suitcase, but generous sized bedrooms. We had daughter and friend, son and friend, mother, mother-in-law, and myself and husband. Everyone had plenty of room. We all sat down to breakfast at the same time thanks to the large dining room table. We grilled out steaks on the gas grill outside. We sat outside on both screened porches with our golden retriever, and watched the deer amble through the yard every day. The kitchen is modern and well-stocked. I have never seen so many plates and glasses and high end pots and pans in a rental, so it was a very nice change. The only thing I did not find was an ice cream scoop, but I usually eat out of the carton anyway (oink oink) so it didn't bother me! The kids were safe, and they roamed up and down the bike paths day and night. They biked to Starbucks 3.5 miles away via bike path, and then they bought lemons at the grocery store, and rolled home and made lemonade. It was simple fun but they loved it! Walking the dog was easy with the huge yard and beach path right in front of the house. The beach here was not crowded at all, and had convenient doggie cleanup stations. The beach was wide and beautiful, and we used the beach chairs stashed at the house. We all sat around and the table and played Trivial Pursuit one night, thanks to the selection of games here. Some mornings we lounged on the big sectional until we finished our coffee. There were tons of towels, which is something I've had trouble with at other VRBO places. The washer and dryer worked and of course was helpful with four kids. The owner is super...had everything in order well before our vacation began. She even called us the morning we were to check out, to tell us that the cleaning lady wasn't coming until later, and that if we wanted to stay later in the day, we were welcome to do so. Overall we had no problems and loved the house and location. I wish I could live there. But the best compliment is that my 14 year old son WANTS TO GO BACK. You know it was a great vacation if even the surly teenagers had a great time! Thank you, dear Owner, for allowing us to use your Kiawah home!

Wonderful stay, very convenient to the beach

The home was meticulously clean, with lots of thoughtful details throughout. The spacious screened in porch in the back was the primary gathering spot for our group. The host was thoughtful and communicative. Overall a great Vrbo experience!

Home away from home!

This home had all of the extra touches of a home, in addition to the fact that it is directly across the street from the beach access! This owner really cares! You will love staying here!

Location, Location, Location

We had an amazing stay at 8 Eugenia Avenue -which is directly across the street from the beach and one of the boardwalks to get there. As we biked all over the island we saw many families biking with beach chairs and bags on their back. For us, we could come and go from the beach to the house throughout the day as we wanted to, to get a snack or take a break. The phrase in real estate, "location, location, location" is a great description of this lovely home. The home's 5 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms allowed us to spread out. comfortably. The porch on the front allows you sit and listen to the ocean and the back porch was huge and filled with lots of great furniture either to eat at tables or to lounge on and relax. The grill out back was brand new and great for grilling on! The kitchen was fully stocked with everything you need and more .. to the detail that I needed poppy seeds to make coleslaw and couldn't find it at the store - and then realized there was a cabinet full of spices, etc. , including poppy seeds! We have always wanted to find the beach house that we would want to return to year after year as our family grows - and now we have done so! We will definitely be back!!

Everything went very well from check in on, no problem or issues, the cleaning crew was there at 10 and we weren’t out of the property felt a little rushed

Kiawah family trip

Great location and easy access to the beach. We felt like we were in a private neighborhood on the island tucked away from the crowds. We enjoyed riding bikes around the neighborhoods on the bike paths, seeing gators in and around the ponds, and riding our bikes on the beach. We felt like we were on a private beach...no one within 500 yards of us on either side. The house felt very comfortable...had plenty of good cookware, tons of books for beach reading and games to play with the family. We will stay at this house again.

My husband and I purchased this home the year we were married with 3 other couples. We all still own the home and have enjoyed many wonderful times in this great location. We feel extremely fortunate to have uncovered this jewel of an opportunity at a young age and when Kiawah was in its early stages of development. We are educators and never dreamed we would be able to enjoy even 25% of a home in such a quality area.
