Simply the Best
Mona and Matthias’ house is simply the best accommodation we’ve stayed in all the 18 years that we’ve been coming on holiday to Tavira.
We warmed to it immediately and it is the easiest of places to live in; the description and the photographs in the listing are completely accurate and the reality is indeed better. The house throughout was exceedingly clean, neat and fresh inside and out and there was as much kitchen equipment as you could want when resting on holiday. The wifi was strong and stable and easily stretched to the first floor terrace.
The outdoor spaces are ideal for handling hot weather: a secluded ‘largo’ outside the kitchen/living room, a comfortable terrace on the first floor outside the bedroom with views toward the west of this historic town and a roof terrace from which there is a fabulous view toward the castle and the church of Santa Maria.
The streets aroundabout the house are very quiet and despite being so close to the busyness of one of Tavira’s favourite praças the house is so peaceful. There are some closeby renovation works but you can’t escape these anywhere in Tavira anywhere these days.
Communication from Mona and Matthias was attentive from start to finish and thank you to them for the welcome beers and water in the fridge 🙂
